#SpanishSpeakersEX #BlueHairAlliance *BGM: Rigid Paradise & Corpse Voyage ~ Be of Good Cheer! [Arranged] (Touhou Shinreibyou ~ Ten Desires, Touhou Chireiden ~ Subterranean Animism)*
"Wait up you frigin' ice machine, do you even know where you're going?" Yoshika asked as she followed her through a tiny path which was uncomfortable for anyone but a midget. The ice fairy angrily turned around and looked at the jiang-shi. "I'm going to search for Dai! Why the heck are you following me anyway!?" "To find that monster, even master is uneasy about it. And for that I will find it and, I'll bite him quite a bit." Yoshika then proceeded to hit a tree and make an easily noticeable indentation in it. The ice fairy turned around and continued going forward. "Then why don't you go with the green-hair, you little brain-dead person?! She's probably going for that ripper guy, I'm not." "She was going elsewhere…. wait what did you just say?" Yoshika's eyes widened in anger. "So I've just been following you for nothing? Dammit what a mummer's play" She rubbed her temples to prevent an outburst that was already well underway. Cirno let out a single 'hmph' and continued going on. 'I have to find Dai before she gets hurt... As much as I want to kick this zombie's ass, I can't do it right now...' ' This can't be happening, not even two days in and I'm already lost, should I just go off alone, or should I take the fairy with me just in case, but then again master won't approve of me just letting a child die in the forest……unless I was hungry.' "Hey ice?": Yoshika called out to Cirno who was still ahead of her in the path. The ice fairy stopped. "What is it now?!" "Are you gonna be fine on your own? Or do you need something so I can get your butt back on the trail of this ripper thing? As much as Yoshika disliked the ice fairy she didn't like the idea of making something her master disappointed in her. Also being alone would be too boring for a journey.
"Of course I'll be fine! I'm the strongest person in Gensokyo!" The ice fairy crossed her arms, without looking at Yoshika. 'Suit yourself.' "I'll be going now then, be a good girl stay out of trouble and eat a lot so you can fatten up nicely" As Yoshika started walking away she looked back in hopes the fairy would still be following her. She wasn't there.

The further they flew towards the mainland of Gensokyo, the darker it became as the skies were filled with thick red mist. The only place Elly knew of in the mainland was the Hakurei Shrine, and so they would start there. As they approached the shrine's torii, Elly gave a warning to Kurumi, "Remember, the shrine is inhabited by someone who beats up youkai for being youkai. We should make sure she is not at the shrine before looking around, otherwise we might end up on the wrong side of some danmaku!" "So this is the Hakurei Shrine's torii isn't it? I have vague memories from the inhabitants of those spiritual place.. Something from the past, but I'll make sure to be as careful as you are when Yuuka's asleep." "I think we should at least peak through the windows, to see if the coast is clear." Elly landed, and stood on tiptoes to see inside the shrine's front left window. Nobody around. Moving round to see in the other rooms, she noticed a pan of water absent mindedly left on a stove, but there wasn't anyone inside the shrine. "Kurumi, I think we're safe. Although, I'm not quite sure what we're looking for. I think I'm going to try to find any references to these sigils, but what was it that was troubling you?" Elly held her head in embarassment of her forgetting. Kurumi lands just a moment after Elly did land, as she heard what Elly said she responded with: "Ah, luckily there's nobody here.. About what was troubling me, a good while ago, I don't even know how many years back, there was this shrine maiden that flew towards Mugenkan. So it was my job to stop her at the Lake of Blood, but she was too strong.. She wasn't the only one either, a little while before a Magician fought me because she wanted to enter Mugenkan, thing is that the Magician was somewhat reasonable.. The Shrine Maiden acted like she was berserk; didn't show any mercy, not even when the fight was over.." Kurumi exhaled; inhaled since the thought was really troubling her. she then shook her head; quickly said "A-anyways, it's not a good thing to continue about this! May I ask if there's any reason to be here?" Elly shook her head in confusion, "Don't turn this back on me! I'm here to find info on the sigils on the bottom of this statue. I thought there was a malevolent force at the lake you wanted to find out about!" She stepped inside the shrine, and walked over to the bookshelf, picking up a book called "The Magician, and Other Various Magical Youkai" "O-oh, I thought you meant that about the memories of the past I mentioned. Ah, can't be helped. Sorry for not knowing precisely; about the thing on the lake, I mentioned it had been a thing since a couple of years ago right? Well, a couple of years ago a demonic couple moved to my lake. Now, migration in the lake isn't much of a serious affair as most people want to move out unless they're also vampire. The demonic couple built a castle there. Although the both of them have always been friendly towards the few vampires that inhabit the place including me, everytime they moved next to demon eyes or any other of the creatures that do live around my lake, the creatures behave strangely aggressive. Not towards them but certainly against those around them, the gaze in the eyes of that couple is quite strange. It is a magical force but I can't recognise it. the whole thought is quite confusing." Kurumi holds her hand against her chin and mumbles "Mmh, I don't really know, they have a very charismatic aura around them so they're most likely vampire too. But there are rumours which say they're actually blood-drinking lunarians which once had been sentenced to hell. I don't know, one thing is for sure, they must have to do with the incident!" as Kurumi says her last lines, she starts swinging around with her fingers. "Well, okay then. If you think you can find anything here then do so, if not, just steal some underwear. That'll teach the miko for being so intolerant." Flicking through the pages of the book, nothing jumped out at her as being relevant. She picked up another, skimmed through again, nothing. These two were the only ones with seemingly relevant titles, so she started on the other ones, on the far left: a simple looking book, entitled, 'Native Gods'. Opening it up, the first page greeted her with a drawing of a frog Goddess, known as Suwako Moriya. Scribed below the image, was her sigil, one that matched one of the sigils on the statue. She looked through the rest of the book, but could not find any other sigils that matched the statue. "Kurumi, I've found... something. It's a weak lead, since I have no idea where to actually go to find this person, but I know who we need to look for." "Ah, I found some money in this donation box.. I'll take that with me, since that could be handy. I see a few photos of a miko I slightly do memorize, It's on the tip of my tung but I don't quite know who it exactly is. As for the underwear... Stealing panties?! Sorry, but may I ask where you got that idea from..?" Kurumi had her suspicions but made sure to not mention those, instead she said: "Well, I suppose underwear is always fine. Let me get to the drawer.." As she opens the first drawer, she finds a few notes. "Hhm, interesting. A book regarding the youkai of Gensokyo, Elly, do you mind it if I take this with me? I could potentionally use this later for my lake research. Not too sure if this could provide you help too but the littlest bits are found in the unseen corners I guess." Kurumi lays down the book on a shelf for a brief moment awaiting Elly's approval of taking it with her, she then proceeds to open the second drawer. "Ah, underwear. All of them are yellow; red striped shimapans, not a problem... Their size seems to fit me and they smell nice.. No, I'm not speaking about the scent of human blood as much as I'm speaking about the scent of violets. Hhm, I'll take those with me.. They do fit me and it'll teach her a lesson indeed." As Elly mentions to Kurumi that she has found a kind of lead, Kurumi puts her arms on her side. "Ah, great. A lead, The best would be to ask around but that's probably going to be tough. Atleast for me.. Being a vampire often scares off the humans; youkai. In your case it should be possible though, we might want to hold this in mind for if we find people." "Hey, no need to ask me to steal it. This is the miko's house, not mine. Just keep in mind that if it's in her underwear drawer, it might actually be important, so she may try to get it back." Elly sighed. As good company as Kurumi was, she was sometimes too much to deal with. She reminded herself of why she worked at Mugenkan - to avoid people and live alone. 'Perhaps this journey wasn't the best idea.' She spoke again, with reduced motivation, "Kurumi, if you've got what you need, we should go before the miko returns. The map on the wall shows there is a village down the path from here." She stepped out the shrine and flew high, and then in the direction of the Human Village. "Ah, right. Hhm.. The potential value of this book may not yet be proven, but I do find anything that could help to be too important to leave behind. I'll take it with me regardless of the risk she might try to find it back, after all she got no lead who took it." Kurumi thought to herself that asking if she may steal a book is kind of a weird thought, after all, why would you ask to steal something? She somewhat sighed in relief at the thought of Elly not making fun of her, she reminded herself of how people usually used to make fun of her due to her dumb questions. Being polite; pensive isn't always easy, the thought made her shake her head a little. "Right, that was then and this is now.." She then grabs the book from the shelf she did put it on; put it in her pocket. Same followed for the money; the underwear she found to smell nice. "Funny thing, that drawer did reek of a maiden's blood too, it's quite a nice scent but I don't quite differ where the bodily fluid may come from. I just like blood in general, I don't quite care if it's a man or women.. Then again women blood is by far the most common in Gensokyo." It must've been weird for a vampire like Kurumi to think of those things, what she had not noticed is that she once again spoke her thoughts publicly, upon noticing it she felt somewhat scared that Elly might've overheard what she had said. "A-ah but regardless of all thinking; all, I suppose we indeed shouldn't take our time; chances here by staying any longer. Since you saw the directions to the human village, I'll follow you. Make sure to be of good company to me because you know what kind of thoughts humans do have against vampires, if anything, my father and mother were almost brutally murdered by them simply for being a vampire. It's still a horrific thought to have; even worse to behold in front of yourself." As Kurumi spoke her words of both remembering some of the darkest parts of the past; her own concerns over that, she started running until she made a jump; her bat-wings did the rest. She then flew behind Elly in hope to find more information together in the Human Village whilst secretly hoping she can resupply herself of fresh blood. ~ The trip to the Village was uneventful, the red mist that now hung above had blocked any weather patterns. Landing down at the edge of the settlement, the place was eerily quiet as people hid in their homes. Elly found a bush, and put her scythe into it - normally she would never let go of one of her most prized posessions, but being seen in the village with it would only cause more panic. The pair walked into the empty market square, and realising that there was no-one at all out in the streets, Elly told Kurumi, "If we want to talk to anyone, it looks like we're going to have to knock on their doors. Why are humans so awkward about danger? They can easily learn to deal with it... yet they hide in their houses, avoiding having to even see the danger. It's a dangerous mindset." She walked up to the door of the local tavern, and peeked in. A few drunk men were inside, but it was otherwise quiet. "Perhaps the barman knows something." Elly walked up to the bar, while the men gave her a semi-disgusted look. "Excuse me, do you know of a Goddess called Suwako Moriya?" The barman's response was unhelpful, "Uh, maybe? I dunno the names of them but I do know there's a fair few around here." "She is some sort of native Goddess, taking the form of a small frog girl. I don't know anything else about her." "Ah... hmmm..." the barman racked his brain for a few moments, "I think I know of who you're talking about. I reckon she's the one living in that shrine on the mountain." "Oh, the mountain you can see from just outside here?" "Yeah, the Youkai Mountain. Very few humans go there, so anything I or anyone else knows is just hearsay. It's inhabited by the Tengu, so you will probably need a damn good reason for going up there; unless you want to get on the bad side of some of the worst youkai around." "I'm sure I'll be fine, thank you very much." "My goodness, this red mist is quite thick; although it is atleast sparing me from the brutality the sun could bring me but I'd like to see the colour red a lot less for just once." Kurumi was mumbling this to herself as she landed next to Elly, she gazed around the Humn Village which deemed to be quite quiet. As quiet as a ghost-village would've been. "Hhm, a lot less of a reason to worry about my giant bat-like wings atleast, please do note I have to be invited in to get into houses, you might not know this yet but it's quite a strange thing for a vampire to move in to someone else's house considering a strange sacred force, I guess public places like taverns won't make this matter since people are always allowed to go in and out. As for the Hakurei Shrine a moment ago, Since I should help you to investigate that is my consent because the Shrine Maiden had not been there for the moment being." Kurumi thought to herself that being a vampire doesn't only have serious benefits but also lots of responsibilities; sadly enough a wide-array of weaknesses. "As for humans, in this case I'm glad they stay away, as much as I feel like I want to drink a bit of blood right now, I just don't think it is safe for me to be here. I can't hide my wings; what humans do to vampires out of fear is farther than the word 'disgusting' could ever describe if I may mention that. A-ah, about humans being scared once again, I guess they have the constant thought of being overwhelmed by the unknown, for us vampires that is pretty normal but we're worried quite often if it may be a cause of certain danger. We do note everything; we aren't likely to hide ourselves like the humans here do though. So I guess you're right that it is a dangerous mindset." In front of the bar-door Kurumi peeks through the window; sees some drunk men . "I guess I'll stay outside for a moment, see you soon Elly." A moment later; Kurumi sees how a few of the drunk men make a disgusting face whilst staring at Elly's bum. "Mmh, I know vampires always talk thrash about humans and in some cases I can understand that, acting bad like that won't change me from seeing the bad side either." As a moment passes, Kurumi feels like she could fall asleep from waiting. She often was known for being sleepy overday but she would only show this whenever the chance would be there. "Sigh, I really feel like sleeping right now. Can't be helped, can't be helped.. Should I tell Elly how disgusting those men were? They were staring at her bum too... W-well, I don't quite know how Elly would react on that so I'll leave that aside." And as that thought once again without noticing it is spoken by Kurumi, Elly comes outside; Kurumi asks her to tell what she has heard.

I had a dream...
"Please, I beg you all! She's my sister!" the young blonde fairy cried, facing the numerous clan leaders in front of her, her eyes filled with tears.
...where everyone was disappearing.
One of the leaders nodded negatively. "No. We won't go to war with the Higan Fairies just because you want to do so."
Another leader stepped up, arms crossed. "All fairies know since birth that when you cross the Sanzu River, you're effectively dead. And the dead don't come back."
The size of my room at midnight and the silence of it...
The huge crowd of fairies from all around Gensokyo where gossiping about the situation. The blonde fairy looked at everyone and clenched her fist angrily. "She's always been diligently working and helping everyone! She's an ascended fairy, for Queen Titania's sake! Are you all just going to ditch her!?"
Clogged my chest...
The oldest fairy leader stepped up to the center, in front of the blonde fairy, "ENOUGH!" it said, and all fairies stopped talking almost instantly. "We have heard enough of you, Lily White. Your sister is now dead, and if you continue to try to bring her back..." the fairy leader whispered something to Lily's ear, which made her eyes widen.
And I was hardly able to breath.
The blonde fairy quickly left the scene, crying. Amongst the crowd of fairies, a small, green-haired one looked at Lily, wondering what exactly her leader might have told the blonde fairy...
--- 'Fairies who cross the Sanzu River are effectively dead.' Those words resounded in Dai's mind constantly as she was flying above the Road of Liminality. The green-haired fairy turned around to make sure no one was following her, specially Cirno. The idea was a risky one, and if it didn't work out properly, she would never return back... Basically, the fairy wanted to cross the river, talk with the Yama, and then get permission to return back. That's exactly why she didn't want Cirno to follow her. If the plan went wrong, Cirno would also be stuck there, and the great fairy didn't want that... If someone had to 'die' from this plan, it had to be herself. It was her own idea, after all. --- Inside my head I can hear your voice...Knock, knock. Someone was calling. The green-haired fairy stopped reading her book, and turned away to look at the door. "It's open!" she said, and the door opened slightly.
A blue-haired fairy with ice crystals acting as wings stepped into the house. "U-uh... Good morning. Or something." she seemed to be hiding something behind her back.
The green-haired one stood up, and looked at the blue fairy, with a smile on her face. "My, aren't you the ice fairy from the other day...?"
"The name's Cirno, and yeah." The ice fairy stopped hiding her hand, and showed it to the green fairy. A piece of yellow cloth was on her hand. "This is for you." the green haired fairy looked confused.
Even now, my heart is fluterring...
"Don't look at me like that!" Cirno angrily said. "Your old one got fried when I was battling with Sunny the other day, right? You seemed to like wearing a ponytail, so I thought I should replace it or something. I couldn't get Sunny to do it, so..."
The green fairy looked at the piece of cloth and took it after a few seconds. "Thank you." She began to tie it around her hair, making a ponytail on a side.
The ice fairy turned around and began to left the house, but suddenly stopped in her tracks. "Hey, green-hair. What's your name?"
The green fairy finished making her ponytail before answering Cirno's question, a smile never leaving her face. "Daiyousei."
In my memories, you're always there, smiling softly...
--- The Sanzu's water was steadily flowing. A red woman, carrying a big scythe was sitting on a boat, looking really bored. Suddenly, she noticed something. A green-haired fairy was approaching the boat. "My, now this is a rare sight. What'cha doing here, fairy? Don't tell me you wanna cross the river...?" The green fairy touched the piece of yellow cloth that she used to make her ponytail, her face slightly darkening. Such sorrow, such pain... The lonely night scares me.
I look up to the sky, searching for you...

The continuation of Team Kaflan's adventure with Dani and Shadie.
The young vampire looked curiously all around her, her crystal wings fluttering up and down rapidly. The whole place really excited her. Still she had to behave correctly if she wanted to get anywhere with the investigation, so instead of flying around like she wanted, she sat down, near the monk and the hermit, listening to their conversation.
“Please tell me what you know about the ripper and about Marisa’s situation.” Kasen concluded.
“’The ripper’… it now has a name…” Byakuren’s expression darkened.
“Why are you…” She trailed off, her eyes growing bigger as she realized what Byakuren was implying. “You think…”
The monk merely nodded.
“’In Gensokyo, if one believes in something enough that something will acquire its own existence…’” The hermit repeated her own words.
“I have been thinking. We know it steals life essence from other creatures, but what is the reason behind it? Is it so that it can exist here? That should not be it, the fact it has been creating this chaos, that fact alone, is powering the creature. Voices whispering rumors and fears about it, is it now what it’s fueling its existence?”
Kasen closed her eyes, thinking. “Then why would it keep attacking people?”
The monk nodded negatively. “The number of rituals that require sacrifices to work are countless. The list of reasons apart from rituals is no smaller. For a ritual, to boost its own powers… to purely create chaos as a test for Gensokyo’s inhabitants… there are too many reasons to count.”
“Do we still have no more information about it? People that might have fought it, people that might have seen it.”
“All I am aware is what I have told you and that the sigil it uses to attack has its roots in the Dark Arts.”
“I see…” ’It’s as Flandre told me…’
“Whatever that creature is, it is getting stronger.”
Kasen raised her head. “How do you know?”
Byakuren sighed a bit in relief. “The number of victims have decreased… Honestly, I’m relieved but… That may mean it has decided to attack stronger victims.”
“In other words, ‘start with a rabbit to have enough strength to hunt a boar’.”
“Yes. Who knows who may get attacked now…” Byakuren shifted worriedly in her place.
Flan rubbed her chin. "Back in Voile... I read stuff about gods being able to manifest themselves in physical forms or to give part of their powers to representants in the lower world, to their avatars..." she crossed her arms. "If I was the ripper, I probably would have gone for a god or someone of equal power once I had enough strength... Do we have gods in Gensokyo?"
Kasen looked at Flandre. “We do but… you’d need to be crazy to attack some of those.” The hermit could hear Kanako’s laughter in her head. “But…” She looked worriedly at Byakuren.
“I know… and I am worried too. I asked Shou-chan to search for Miss Kirisame, she has not returned yet even though Nazrin-chan went with her. I fear for the worse…” Her hand unconsciously stopped over her heart. “It should have not taken her this long.”
Eyes frozen on Byakuren, Kasen explained Flan. “Shou Toramaru is the avatar of the god Bishamonten… Nazrin is her servant, she’s known to be able to find people and objects easily with her magical rods.”
Flan lowered her head. "If the ripper controls dreams and nightmares... It probably can use something a person would fear the most not to scare him or her... But to fool. What I mean this... If this Shou girl feared that something would happen to someone whom she holds dearly... The ripper probably could have used this to fool her and attack her while she was trusting him." The vampire raised her head. "You said she was searching for Marisa...?"
“The power to… manipulate dreams and nightmares?” Her hand crumpled her dress. “If it has such power…” The woman looked visible more worried as the conversation progressed but she was doing her very best to control herself and keep herself from leaving the temple and search for Shou. “Yes… she… she went to search for her…” Her voice didn’t sound focused anymore.
The young vampire looked at Byakuren. "Does that kind of ability ring some bell? Someone you may have met before...?"
The monk nodded negatively. “That ability was abolished from Makai… I do not know anyone capable of using it… It must to be someone who has lived for centuries… or a magical object giving someone such a power. No one capable of that has set foot in Gensokyo before… That kind of ability is too wicked for anyone to use. It can manipulate people using their dreams, change who they are, it can make them commit murder in their place… it can even kill them in their sleeps without needing physical contact…”
The scarlet sister sighed. "So we still haven't moved from square one..." she looked down, towards her open right hand. She closed it, as if she was squeezing something, but nothing happened. " I doubt my power would work against it anyway... Specially since I can't control it properly... "
Kasen crossed her arms. “And about Marisa, what can you tell us about her?”
“If I saw the mark on her neck I could make more assumptions, but… all I can say is that, from what I have seen from the other victims, it is something that’s connected to one’s soul. The possibilities that that sigil is still holding some effect on her are certain. If the sigil is not removed she might die… or become an empty shell. However…” She looked at both of them. “If the creature’s power is oneirokinesis, I am afraid that’s not the only thing she will have to worry about.”
“We might end up fighting her.” Kasen concluded.
The monk only nodded.
Flandre's eyes widened. ‘Fighting Marisa...? As in...’ That was it, she had heard enough. Flan stood up, grabbed her parasol and ran outside the temple. ‘I need to find Marisa... At least, before something even worse happens to her. ‘
Kasen stood up out of a sudden. “Aah! Wait, Flandre!” She made way to run after her and then stopped for a second. “Thank you, Miss Hijiri! I will warn you if I find Miss Toaramaru!” And then she ran off.
“Hey, Flandre, wait!”
The vampire stopped on her tracks, completely silent.
The hermit stopped slowed down and approached her, worried. “What’s gotten into you?”
"I..." the vampire didn't even turn to look at Kasen. "I don't want to fight Marisa, so I'm gonna go and find her... Or the ripper, whichever happens first."
“And where exactly are you going to start searching?”
"... Dunno... I'll just go around Gensokyo. I'll eventually find something." she turned her head slightly to look at Kasen, her eyes glittering with tears. "That's how the red-white and Marisa solve incidents, right?"
Kasen walked towards her both Flandre’s hands reassuringly. “I understand how you feel, but we have to think clearly. If we act without thinking, we’ll end up wasting more time. Look, did she tell you anything about what she was going to do after you came search for me?”
"I remember... I thought Marisa said something about searching for an 'Alice' girl... She didn't say anything else, though..."
“Ah, the doll maker! I know her. She lives near Marisa, maybe we could check her house.” She suggested.
The vampire nodded negatively. "I checked with Marisa there before. She wasn't there."
“Argh! Did everyone suddenly disappear?” Kasen scratched her head. “Alright, that’s it!”
She made a movement with her hand and out of a portal a bunch of animals came out. From tigers to eagles, to squirrels and mystical creatures. The hermit crossed her arms in front of the newly summoned animal army.
"W-what in the world...?"
“Listen here, guys. I’m searching for Marisa, yes, the thief person. I want you all to scatter though Gensokyo and warn me if you find her. If you happen to find a blonde, short haired girl with blue eyes accompanied by dolls, warn me too.” Her expression turned serious. “If you see someone evil, stay away and hide. We’re searching for people, please don’t try to fight.”
The animals seemed to understand her and as soon as she stopped talking, they all left in various directions.
The vampire blinked a few times, confused. "U-uh..."
“More eyes will cover more terrain.” She mounted her dapeng. “Isn’t it right?” She smiled looking at the tiny tiger on the gigantic eagle, to which she received a tiny growl as answer.
Flandre nodded. 'S-sure... How did she do that...?!'
“Let’s get going, I let you lead the way.” The dapeng took flight.

Collab with Dankiri. Sad post incoming. :c
Kanako looked forward at the Myouren Temple with a tired look on her face, crossing her arms as she made her way over. "Of all the people to talk to..." she mused, approaching the entrance. "I want to get this over with quickly."
In front of the entrance, the goddess let out a deep breath and knocked audibly.
Byakuren opened the door, for a moment she looked worried but her expression soon cleared when she saw the one in front of her was Kanako. Tilting her head slightly, she smiled.
"Well, isn't this an unexpected sight, what brings you here, Lady Yasaka?"
Kanako smiled back. "Believe me, I don't want to be here at such a late hour, but things have been a complete mess lately, don't you agree, Hijiri? I know you're very well aware of what's been occurring, hmm?"
The monk closed her eyes. "Indeed... This incident has been worrying me since it's inception. But please, come inside, we will talk inside."
Nodding, Kanako followed the monk into her temple. Though Byakuren was as kind and hospitable as ever, the goddess noticed that she too seemed worn down.
The monk walked inside, putting away used tea glasses. "You are in luck too, I just prepared tea. It seems this temple has been prone to a lot of visits." She said, chuckling, more to distract herself from her worries than anything else.
Making herself comfortable, Kanako accepted the cup of tea Byakuren offered her. "I usually don't come down here unless it's for something important, such as what's occurring now," she replied, looking stern. "Gensokyo truly is in trouble."
Mimicking Kanako, Byakuren sat down. "Yes." She started gravely. "To think someone like this would set foot in Gensokyo... This kind of magic that is even unwelcome in Makai..."
Kanako raised an eyebrow. "You must be as confused as I am, no? This is very troubling."
"This is incomprehensible... What would motivate someone to do such a thing? Harming the lives of the innocent is nothing but vile." The monk said as she looked at Kanako. "And whoever is behind this is getting stronger. You must be careful, you and your family alike."
Kanako crossed her arms, looking solemn. "I sure wish I was more careful. Sanae was attacked," she informed, gritting her teeth.
"Is she unharmed?" Byakuren asked, her eyes full of worry.
"She was unharmed physically, but it took a bit of work getting her back into shape emotionally," the goddess explained, the soothing glance Byakuren was giving her calming her down. "I intervened before things grew fatal. If I didn't, then...Sanae would..."
She trailed off, not even wanting to think about the possibility of the lifeless form of Sanae facedown on the ground, her imposter standing over her with a malicious and bloodthirsty gaze. Shuddering, she rid her head of the thoughts and took another sip of tea.
"If she is unharmed there is no reason to repeat the past. But we should all be careful for the time being." She smiled. "I'm glad to hear she is safe."
Kanako closed her eyes and smiled slightly. "Indeed. She means a lot to Suwako and me, after all. I wonder how she's doing on her own mission..."
Some hurried footsteps could be heard approaching the room, someone opened the door in a flash. Kyouko Kasodani was standing there, trembling. "L-lady... Hijiri..." Her voice surprisingly quiet as she struggled to get her words out.
Immidiately, Byakuren stood up and rushed to the yamabiko's side. "Kyouko-chan, what happened?"
"I... Nazrin..." Tears started flowing out of her eyes, the hiccups making her voice even more strained. "...outside..."
The monk stepped outside and, on the porch stood Nazrin, her eyes hidden by her hair as she looked down, silent tears trailling down her face as she clenched her hands. At her feet laid Shou Toramaru, her face white as snow, completely unmoving.
Byakuren didn't let a sound. Slowly she make her way to the body sleeping on the porch, unsure if that was nothing but a bad dream, an illusion of somekind. Heavily, she fell on her knees, her trembling hand caressing the tiger's cold face.
"Shou-chan..." Disbelief, incredulity was all that dotted her voice.
Kanako slowly stepped outside and widened her eyes when she saw the scene in front of her. She observed as Byakuren brought Shou's head onto her lap and stroked her hair, her tears beginning to pour out of her eyes and splash onto her follower's pale cheeks.
The goddess then turned to Nazrin, who reverted to a crouching position as she buried her face into her hands, the mouse girl beginning to weep uncontrollably. Kanako frowned, fully aware that this event was definitely a major wound to the inhabitants of the Myouren temple.
Quietly stepping toward Byakuren, she knelt down beside her and put her hand over hers where it rested on Shou's face.
"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry..." Nazrin's voice struggled between hiccups. "It was... my... fault..."
Byakuren made no sound, her hands continued petting Shou's hair as her body shook. She had lost a friend, her most trusted friend. All of it for what purpose? Why Shou? Why them? Was this too yet another wound that fate had decided to make her go through? Why? Why would it happen again?
"Shou-chan... Shou-chan was such a kind hearted girl... why... her...?"
Kanako said nothing as she squeezed Byakuren's hand gently, wanting to comfort the other woman.
"Miss Hijiri, let's go inside." A voice rang next to them. "If more people were to see this, they would lose hope."
A bespectable bake-danuki stood by Nazrin. Her voice had sound unwavering but her eyes were full of sadness. She too wanted to mourn, but someone had to the the pillar to support them.
Byakuren didn't say anything more, quietly she held Shou to her and took her inside. Nazrin followed her, her small body shaking without stop.
Mamizou's eyes followed them but her body stood rooted in place.
Kanako stood up quietly, looking up at the starless sky. "I feared this would occur..." she mused, following them inside. "Best I can do is offer my insights to Hijiri once she composes herself."

DM post. Collab with Rintofen, Piks and Buggy (Because miracles and magic do exist.)
"Kazami, words don't reach you, do they?". The sunflower quietly cast its shadow on the floor, overlapping with the standing ones', drew a canvas painting on the floor patched with black, white and mind-numbing shades of gray. "Soon, Kazami, soon. Just a little bit more, until this little one remembers..." Although their proximity was no more, deep in those eyes that held a whole future, everything that was there, she could still see, feel, and understand. Everything was, completely... "Kirisame." ...dyed in colors. "Before the questions of yours disappear, look around and tell me..." Colors that the world far from the sun, would never have. "Who has disappeared?"
Marisa was following what was happening with her eyes, but her brain was trying to process something else. All she wanted was a moment to collect her thoughts but all she got was annoying riddles and a bunch of noisy people. Her eyes regained focus as the mind-reader called her name and she stared at the girl through half-lidded orbs. Her body hurt and she felt already tired from all the commotion. As she purple haired girl’s question left her lips, something clicked in her brain. “You think I’m not worried about her, is that what this is about?” She glared at her, her humorless smirk back to her lips, as she did her best to not let that anger that wasn’t hers get the best of her. “You’re terrible with people, aren’t you?” ‘Of course I’m worried, Alice is my f…’ No, there was definitely something wrong there. That was not what she had seen or felt but the picture in her mind was no longer clear, as much as she tried to make it so. A white and blue canvas with turquoise eyes glaring at her… And the dark and green creature she had known the identity of, staring back at her in the abyss… And just like that, more questions filled her brain, questions she wished she had peace and quiet to reflect on. She looked at her bandaged hands, pensive, her anger laying forgotten someplace else in her heart. “Your question…” She started and then looked at Satori in the eyes. “Give me a little bit of time.”
The fingers of hers that were gently brought to the back of her chin, did not forget the feeling of that little one's braid. Such sunshine, like autumn leaves fragile yet beautiful... "Take your time, Kirisame. You still have a lot of time... It's you who still have a lot of time." Yuuka lowered her arm as Satori and Marisa continued to talk. Her seemingly random action was in fact a calculated one. As Satori spoke a final word to Marisa, she seemed to lose her balance, her lags wobbled and then the pink-haired girl slumped towards Marisa, laying on top of her. "A neat trick, huh?" Yuuka said, to no-one in particular. Lifting Satori off from on top of Marisa, she moved the now sleeping girl into a chair. "I bet she's pretty heavy, I almost feel sorry for you, Marisa.”
Marisa’s eyes went big as she saw Satori being lift off of her. “What the… did you kill her?!” “Anyway, I didn't just put the nosy git to sleep just to watch her snooze. Let's give her a taste of her own medicine, dream style." Yuuka moved her hands, and placed them onto the side of Satori's head. She shut her eyes, and thrust thoughts of fear into the girl's mind. Almost immediately, her brain reacted as any other would do and resorted to taking comfort from the terror by surfacing happy memories. This was exactly what Yuuka wanted - memory after memory of the satori's life came up, and learned by the green-haired youkai. "Koishi, your sister... interesting." Rin was still standing in the doorway, having been ignored. Watching her master being manipulated by what was effectively a monster forced her to take action. Before even thinking twice, she pounced forward, and punched Yuuka's chin.
A forceful blow, as Yuuka's eyes were shut she almost fell over. She rubbed her chin, "Ahh.. ah. I probably deserved that. Unluckily for you, however, I'm not one for justice." Yuuka jumped forward, grabbed Rin's head, and swung it into the stone wall, knocking her out instantly. "Now I've been interrupted, I can't really carry on, otherwise I risk waking her." She turned to the blond on the bed, "Marisa. You must tell me everything you know about the Ripper, and you better be quick about it. My patience is running very thin." She feigned a smile. The magician could feel cold sweat trailing down her face, part of her thought it was because of the pain she was feeling, the other part was sure it was because she was beaten up enough to effectively be a sitting duck with no means to run from Yuuka, someone who was already terrifying on a good day full of rainbows and sunshine. Eyes cast down pensively, Marisa started relaying the information she could remember. After all, if Yuuka ended up pitching herself against the Ripper, it would only help them. “I know that… whatever this Ripper is, she’s versed in dark magic ze. Patchy said that… there was a possibility that the culprit behind it can’t control magic herself but is using a magical item to give her those powers instead…” She semi-closed her eyes in thought. “I think… it had something to do with the sigil not having a personal mark… like we see in everyone else’s spells…” "Interesting. I did recognise something in the sigil on your neck, and it not being a personal mark certainly helps matters. Please continue." "Okay, Okay..." Seija spoke, glaring at Yuuka "Are you done having flirty time with miss Satori over there?" By the looks of things, Seija was busy daydreaming of something 'You call that flirting...' Marisa was looking at Seija without saying a word, but her expression pretty much said everything. She was in the middle of two insane youkai. Her eyes slowly rested on Orin's unmoving form. 'I hope she's alright...' "Well, this time, I can actually speak to you without getting danmauku in my face." Seija smirked, looking intensely at Marisa. "Eh..." Great, now she had both Yuuka and Seija fixed on her. Today was certainly her lucky day. "Well... you were more interested in wreaking havoc than actually talking, last time we met..." "After someone put a hunt on me, I was just trying to be nice and give the weaklings a chance, although if I did again, I'd be knocking on your door this time." "You... being nice?" The magician looked suspiciously at the amanojaku. "Is that reverse speech? How do you work again?" At the very least, Seija seemed to be friendly enough, to Marisa it felt relieving. "I don't need to be a complete asshole, y'know, you've got to have more credit in me." She smiled and cleared her throat "I am your friendly neighbor Seija Kijin after all!" "I see... then, if that's true, can you do me a favor?" The blonde asked. "Can you pick Orin up for me, please? ...And put her on that couch?" She was feeling sorry for the kasha, all she had tried was to help her master, even if Marisa doubted she deserved the protection. "Is that all?" Seija bent down, picking up the Kasha and plopping her on the couch, with hardly any care, but enough to not hurt her. Marisa sighed, happy that hadn't ended with more injuries to anyone. "Yes, thanks, Seija..." The magician gave her an unsure smile. She kept her grin, as she spoke, it felt like it was physically hurting her "No. Problem." Yuuka glanced at her companion 's actions. "Marisa. You were saying something." The blonde looked down again. “When I fought it…” She squinted her eyes, trying to remember. “I…” There was something, something that had led her to the conclusion she had forgotten. She put her hand over her face. “…I’m sure… I… saw something… there was something there that wasn’t supposed to exist, something I’ve seen in a nightmare… before I fought it…” "A nightmare?" She just stopped. "What kind?" Seija then pointed to Yuuka. "It'd better hadn't been about her! She'd give children nightmares by her looks alone." Marisa nodded negatively. “No, unfortunately.” For once she’d wish that she Yuuka was the one haunting her dreams. She thought for a few quiet minutes, carefully forming the sentences in her so that the meaning was absolutely clear. “…It conjured a sword… a sword that I had only seen in that nightmare… There’s no way I’d seen it before.” "Conjured a sword?" Seija sighed, realizing that her witty remarks weren't going to work on Marisa. "You've stumped me, no witty remark to make!" She dived towards the couch, nearly sitting on Orin's head. "Seija, you have this uncanny ability to repeat everything that was literally just said." Yuuka chuckled slightly from her poor joke, "Carry on, please, Marisa. Can you describe the sword?" "I became a parrot while I'm down here!" Seija screamed at Yuuka. “Huh… right…” It was becoming increasingly harder for Marisa to focus. “Uh… the sword…” She closed her eyes and she could see it slumped over the ripper’s shoulder, blood splattering down. “Black… wisps of black and green some, it was a claymore ze. It had… a characteristic pummel but… I can’t remember…” "Well, you're helpful, now I have to go around Gensokyo asking for EVERY SINGLE CLAYMORE IN EXISTENCE!" Seija screamed. "Provided you do remember before the satori wakes up, I don't mind that you can't remember now. Try and think about something else, what was it that was not meant to be there? Do you know what the Ripper looked like?" Golden eyes went wide at Yuuka’s last question. Yes, that was it! She had known what the Ripper looked like, she had looked inside that cloak and she had seen her face, she knew that much so why couldn’t she remember?
She racked her brain for an answer and through clenched teeth she said. “I… can’t remember… The Ripper approached me and I saw… under the cloak I saw something… why can’t I remember?” "Maybe it didn't exist and maybe it's a figment of your imagination that only appears if you dream of it?" Seija asked. “No… that can’t be it…” Marisa nodded negatively once again. “It attacked me… before I ever dreamed about it… Besides, it has attacked others, how can it be just my imagination?” "But it could of been anyone's imagination, someone with evil intentions created this thing." The amanojaku continued. "You can't remember because of the Ripper's magic. They remain latched on to your consciousness, and are trying to hide what you learned... by destroying the memory. You will need to overcome that destructive force and remember what it is, and do it with haste." Yuuka sweated a little, worried that her only lead might dissipate at any moment. ‘Soon you’ll forget.’ That voice she had heard before echoed in the depths of her mind. “Son of a…” She clenched her teeth once again. Like hell she’d lose to that asshole, like she’d let her laugh at her. Closing her eyes again, the witch put her hands over her head. Undoubtedly she had fought against it, she hadn’t won. She could feel her consciousness slipping away as the Ripper whispered something in her ear, and she had seen it then… under the shadow cast by the cloak, a pair of golden eyes. ‘It would be of bad taste for me (…)’ She heard vaguely. ‘You are me, but who am I?’ Marisa opened her eyes wide. “Me.” She answered. “Under that cloak… I saw golden eyes and blonde hair, I saw myself. But… that can’t be… I’m here how can there be another one?” Yuuka smirked. "Actually, that makes perfect sense. Unless there is anything else you are remembering, I believe that might be as much as we're going to be able to glean from your memory." She stood up, "You've been a lot of help, Marisa, get some rest now." “Ah… wait!” She could hear Satori mumble something as she slowly started to budge. “If you have any idea of what that means…” She balled her hands. “I can remember that… but I can’t remember… why it made sense to me, I can’t remember who exactly is behind it ze. So if you know, please…” A hearty laugh was heard from the green-haired girl, "Please do what? Tell you? You must be very naive to think I would." Noticing Satori was waking up earlier than she thought, Yuuka put her flower wall back up in her mind. She now had some of the most important information, and now she could get to the Ripper first. The grasp on her hands only became tighter. “Aren’t we fighting against the same enemy?! We should be trying to stop it before he hurts more people! I don’t care if you want to fight it on your own, if you want to die fighting that’s fine by me! But I don’t want anyone innocent to suffer because of it!” "Nobody's innocent." Yuuka grabbed Seija's collar, and walked out the room. “OI! Yuuka! Damn it!” Marisa watched as the youkai strolled out of the room and then looked around, searching for something, anything to write on. She looked at Satori’s desk and saw her things neatly piled on the corner. Acting purely out of instinct, she jumped out of the bed, only for her wounds to give her a rather rough reminder that she shouldn’t be moving much, let alone jump out of the bed without as much as a second thought. She bit down a myriad of curse words as her legs wobbled under her weight. In an attempt to support herself, she tried to hold on to the chair Satori was now on but the chair couldn’t handle the momentum and the witch ended up knocking both chair and Satori to the ground, fortunately landing on the mind-reader and breaking the fall. “For crying out… ghhh… son of a fuc…ing…” She grit her teeth, tears forming on her eyes as she felt the stitches on her wound give. “Wake up, already… you useless… piece of purple!” She crawled her way to the desk, stretching her arm to reach her notepad. “Every….single… one of you… morons!” With a light touch, the little booklet fell to the ground, along with the rest of her stuff. She winced as she sat down, resting her back against the desk as she hastily started to write down everything she remembered on the yellowed pages.

Collab with Dankiri~
As she flew through the night skies of Gensokyo, Sanae's eyes began to droop, but she opened them wide once more, not wanting to grow tired just yet. The Moriya shrine and the summit of the Youkai Mountain were growing closer every second, and she knew she could rest up there a bit with Suwako before heading out once more. Her area of destination was soon in her line of sight.
"What a long night..." she thought, her long green hair flowing behind her in the wind. "At least I can take it easy for now...maybe I can read some manga while I relax...that'd be nice~"
Sanae giggled to herself and smiled cheerfully, the shrine maiden feeling genuinely happy for the first time in hours. "I'll just pick up the pace now...wait..."
She stopped in the air and looked down at the land below her. An ominous red mist covered everything. Every tree, every plain, every hill...everything below her was blanketed in this mysterious fog. Alarmed, Sanae made a beeline to her shrine as fast as she could.
Descending down in front of the steps, she ran up them and slammed the door open, looking around nervously. "Lady S-Suwako...!" she called.
The goddess was laying on the tatami, a silly smile on her face as she chug down more sake. She appared to have a manga book opened in front of her, upside down but it seemed to entertain her nonetheless.
"Ehehe... look... the main sharacter ish sshtandin' upshide down... howsh... howsh he gonna defeat that robot? He ish... the blood will get to ish brain... and he'll pashh out..." Her face suddenly turned serious, eyes wide in realization as she looked at the frog next to her, which also looked drunk. "We have to sshabe him! If he diesh now... the unibersh is gonna eshplode!!"
Sanae rushed over to Suwako and got on top of the tatami with her, beginning to shake her shoulders. "L-Lady Suwako...red mist...creepy...scary...everywhere...help...!"
"SHANAE! WE HABE TO SSHABE AZSHNABLE! THE FATE OF THE UNIBERSHE IS IN OUR HANDSH! QUICK, LETSH GO!" And stood up, stumbling drunkly a few steps only to fall on her face. A few awkward seconds passed by and the goddess spoke again, holding a twitching hand in the air. "...S-Shanae... It'shh... too late....for me... leabe me behind... and go....shabe... Azshnable..."
The girl sighed, picking up her manga and tossing it onto the tatami. She grumbled inwardly at the spoilers she was just notified about, but there were more pressing matters to attend to.
"Lady Suwako, please listen to me," she said sternly, helping Suwako up and holding her hands. "What have I told you about drinking too much? You're gonna have a nasty headache soon..."
"But... I jusht had... three cups!" And Suwako emphasized the number of cups by holding five fingers up. "I can shtill dribe, dun' worry." She pinched Sanae's cheek, chuckling. "You worry t'mutsh Shanae..."
Sanae made a face. "A-Anyway...I think you need to take a look outside. Follow me."
Suwako followed Sanae, stumbling along the way, barely getting to the door.
Sanae led her goddess to the steps leading up to the shrine's frontal area and pointed down, the red mist gathering at the base. "Look at what's occurring."
Suwako's eyes went wide and she gasped slightly. "Why... ish the mist embarrasshed?"
"No, but it's just...creepy...if I recall correctly from stories told to me by Reimu and Marisa, this has happened before..." Sanae mused, more to herself than Suwako. "Remilia Scarlet of the Scarlet Devil Mansion caused this. It makes the night trail on...which means..."
She then widened her eyes. If this mist continued, the ripper or rippers would continue attacking innocents. This HAS to end.
"Ah... yesh... now that you menshion it, they did shay that... Well... it'sh porblably her doin'again?" The frog goddess put her hands on her waist. "Ash if we didn't habe enough problemsh... thish can't be good... ishn't the Ripper gonna me happy about dish?"
Sanae nodded. "That's why Remilia Scarlet has to stop this. But I just can't waltz in and stop her...I barely know her..."
"Oh, c'mon! If you shhink like that, you'll always loose t'dat good for nuthin' Arcshmey miko... Shshe alwaysh bargesh in! Sho should you! Remilia shatarted it, toush luck for her! No one toldher to be shtoopid!"
"W-Well, I wanted to read my manga, though..." Sanae trailed off, giving Suwako a dirty look. "But due to SPOILERS, I guess I can't do that now, huh?"
"What?! Whyddya gon' read now?! Work comesh first! Ish that miko rubbin'on you?!" She eyes Sanae. "I'll beat her up if she ish!"
Sanae stammered. "D-Don't worry, I'll clean up this mess!" she assured her. "I'll make you proud, Lady Suwako!"
And with that, the shrine maiden took to the skies and made her way down to the mainland of Gensokyo. "I dunno what's more frightening, this creepy mist or Lady Suwako on alcohol...probably the latter."
"SHANAE! TELL THE MIST THAT HE DOESH'T NEED TO FEEL ASHAMED OF ANYSHING! WE WILL SHUPPORT HIM NO MATTER WHAT HIS CHOICESH ARE!"
Sanae flinched. Definitely Suwako.

You know the drill, collab with Relick.BGM: Jazzy Gensokyo, Past and Present ~ Flower Land - PoFV Yuuka gripped tightly onto Seija’s collar, and pulled her behind her at a brisk pace. Once outside Chireiden, she began flying, still holding on. “Let’s get to the surface.” "Oi Oi! Yuuka, please stop dragging me around like a rag doll?" Seija begged, in almost forgiveness. “Not yet. I need you with me, now.” She twisted her hand so that it hurt Seija’s neck. Yuuka put her other hand behind her, and out shot a long line of flowers, acting as an exhaust, propelling the two at great speed toward the exit of the underground. "AUGH!" She splattered out as she watched as she left behind the tea she didn't steal. Yuuka’s red eyes began to glow slightly as they came closer to the outside world. Her excitement was becoming too much to contain. “AHHH!” Yuuka pointed her flower blast straight ahead. Slowing down with a force almost enough to cause whiplash, her face stopped narrowly before the stone wall at the end of the tunnel. “Aha... almost turned into soup. Whoops!” She looked up, at the light of the above ground, and threw Seija up through the gap with a large force. She then followed up through the hole, and flew high above Seija. BGM: Rock-ish Gensokyo, Past and Present ~ Flower Land – PoFV"What the hell?!" She barley regained her balance in the air, she glared at Yuuka with intense anger. "Trying to kill me?! I'm not your enemy!" Slowing to a halt a mile above Seija, she shouted down with a booming voice, “Ahaha~ You’ve figured my plan!” She then angled her body so that her head was pointing towards the amanojaku, and positioned her hands behind her, ready for another flower thrust. A loud boom accompanied Yuuka’s rapid descent towards Seija. She looked back in shock for a second. "Screw you tratoir!" She clenched her first and she glared up and screamed. "TASTE ARROWS MOTHERFUCKER!!" Arrows of all colours flew at the descending Yuuka, hoping to knock her off course. As she fell, pink lights circled Yuuka, and then formed into her parasol. She opened it up, and used it to reflect the sharp arrows that filled the sky below. However, Yuuka could not accelerate any more, with the large air resistance on the parasol. She clenched her teeth, and waited until she was just 50 metres away. In what looked like a single movement, the parasol was shut tightly, revealing a sharp spike on the end, and pushed straight toward Seija. She saw the sudden closure of her parasol, and then saw Yuuka charging at Seija and she panicked, jerking to the right, out of her path. She clenched her fist and arrows formed around her. She was waiting for the perfect opportunity. While she had hoped she wouldn’t move, Yuuka had prepared for Seija to dodge. In response, as she brushed past Seija, she grabbed her and continued the descent towards the ground. “Time for some real soup!” "No you don't!" She smiled wickedly as the arrows around her exploded into aimed arrows, all going to smash into Yuuka's chest. "I knew you were going to fall for the bait!" Yuuka did not spot the new arrows, and several plunged into her body. She let out a loud scream of pain, and held tighter onto Seija as a result. It seemed she would be unable to even prevent herself hitting the fast approaching ground, but as long as she brought the annoying girl down with her it would be fine. She pulled Seija close to her, as close as possible without putting pressure on the arrows, and rotated their bodies so that Seija was beneath her. “You’ll make a good cushio- ack!” Yuuka coughed up some blood as she spoke. "I'm not becoming a cushion!" She screamed, desperately looking for a way out, a few seconds of panicking, she felt the uncontrollable urge to just close her eyes and accept her fate. "Yuuka, thanks for being an arsehole, up until the very end..." They hit the floor, and caused a plume of snow to spread around, leaving a small crater. ~ Yuuka opened her eyes. The sky was a deep red, something she had not noticed in her sadistic fervour earlier. Sitting up, a seering pain shot across her abdomen - an arrow was sticking out of it. She pulled it out, held onto the open wound and tried to stand up, using her parasol as support. Seija laid blanked in the snow, her vision was fast disappearing. There was Yuuka's blood stained all over her clothing. She coughed loudly in pain. Should I blame the moon For bringing forth this sadness, As if it pictured grief? Lifting up my troubled face, I regard it through my tears

Early in the morning, a scarlet mist had accumulated over Eientei, blocking out what would have been a clear, shining day. The earth rabbits on the premise scrambled into disarray almost immediately, and then just as immediately seemed to grow tired of panic and continued their daily rounds. Extended darkness wasn’t a new concept to them, after all.
Later, within the wooden confines of the mansion, a small rabbit in a pink dress had just quietly exited Eirin Yagokoro’s study. The usual jovial and scheming Tewi had a solemn look on her face, as if she doubted the future for the first time in her life. If only her luck had been present in recent events…
Disturbing news sometimes met with outrage, sometimes met with decisive action. Today, nothing but silence was heard within the mansion of eternity. As one might expect, news travels fast when there are hundreds of rabbits to speak of it, so virtually no one was in the dark. But, by the same token, these earth rabbits can be formidable information gatherers. Low profile, potentially silent, and fleet on their feet, it’s hard to find better scouts.
Indeed, the often-forgotten Tewi Inaba had different motives behind following the fairies a while back. Her long-standing alliance with Eirin often involved personal favors, and this was one of them. Un-noticed ears reported of events happening underground, near the border, and elsewhere. A perfect network, it’s only limitation the speed of a rabbit, providing what Eirin believed to be the most important part of solving a problem: knowing the right variables.
The nervous silence was broken when the master of the house spoke.
“So…” Eirin began, finalizing her thoughts. “Shou Toramaru is dead. Many more are injured. The ‘ripper’ continues to wreak havoc.” Standing up from her chair, she walked over to a large closet, her footsteps ringing in the mute air. This particular closet had not been necessary for quite some time.
“I’ve waited long enough…” Eirin said to no one, opening the doors and withdrawing a longbow brimming with magic. “There’s no reason to hold out anymore, everything is in place.”
Eirin walked out of her room, down the halls of Eientei, and out the front gate. Not a single rabbit dared to speak, continuing as if nothing was happening.
Elsewhere, a particular moon rabbit was reading instructions as to where to go next. On the clip-board in her hand, written in a doctor scrawl by the lunarian doctor a full day before, was the short note:
“Head to the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The mist is our bait.”

"... The zombie thinks she can have all the fun for herself? If someone is gonna represent us taoists then it's gotta be me, after all Taishi-sama can't be troubled with something this dangerous. Something like this can only be left in the hands of I the heir apparent to the Mononobe clan! Haw! Haw! Haw! Haw! Haw!
Futo opened the main gate ignoring whatever Tojiko had to say (it's probably not that important anyways) and politely waving to the echo girl once she had gotten past the graveyard, in order to not get a supersonic response.
"Now where could she have gone too? Considering the path to the human village is the only path it doesn't take a genius like me to figure it out. Haw! Haw! Haw! Haw! Haw!"
And so she went down the path to the human village laughing like a madwoman expecting everything to go her way as though it were fate itself.

Through my two eyes I look at the sky.
Such a foreign feeling to be able to finally see.
I walk through the white mantle of snow, admiring this world that, even now, even know covered in red mist, shines brighter than home.
Such a strange feeling, to be able to walk.
Scarlet. How fitting.
I know not who is behind this but I will consider it a sign, a sign that even Gensokyo itself wants to change. Looking at my hands I see – scarlet. The warm feeling of the thick liquid escaping each passing second as the cold of the night wins it over. The coppery smell ever present.
Such a peculiar feeling, to be able to feel.
The silence of this endless night is soothing, now that the one laying forgotten on the ground, forever resting, has fallen quiet.
‘̜̳̣̥̩P̤̰̞͙̣l̫̮̘̼̝͕̯ȩ̤͙͚͈a̸͙̲̱s̪̲̲̝͓̻e̜͡…̵͇̬̮ ̦̭̟̫͈̙͕͜p̻̝̻̠̙l͕e̸̤̜a̫͍̲̼̱̩s͏̺̻͎͉̹ͅe̥̱̼̦̜̞̕…͎̼̝̦ d͔̲͇͡o͖̺n̢̪͎͈’͏̜̪̳̰t̖…͎̪’̷̱̭̫̫͓
There is no use pleading, this was your own choice, you know your mistake. That’s why I refuse to grace you with even a word.
“You.”
Someone is behind me.
I don’t turn at the voice, I feel something pointed at my back.
“You are the one behind this incident, aren’t you?”
I can hear a smirk in the voice. Bold or fool, no matter what you are, the outcome will be the same.
“Didn’t your mother ever teach you not to walk in the forest alone, especially when it’s dark?”
“She has.” The voice replied with a laugh. “But I was never someone to listen.” The voice stepped heavily forward. “And unlike that half-baked god over there, I’m not someone you would dare to even touch, unless you want to enjoy a slow, agonizing death. You stand no chance~”
Oh, I see. Now it’s my turn to smirk and I casually turn around.
I understand who and what you are.
Poor, foolish, little girl, you don’t know it yet… how sorely mistaken you are.

The green-haired fairy took a few steps forward towards the red-haired shinigami. "Good morning, miss... I... I'd like to cross the river. I need to talk with the Yama of something very urgent..." "A fairy wantin' to speak with the Yama, I can't say that's common." The red-haired commented. "Ya know, I usually only ferry dead people across the river. These waters aren't safe for people who still breathe..." "But there are fairies across the river, right?" the green fairy crossed her arms. "Regardless, I really need to talk with the Yama. It's about the recent incident." "And I advised them against it." The shinigami replied with a sigh. "But I suppose fairies are too stubborn to convince." She tapped her scythe on her shoulder. "Lady Shikieiki is busy, as always, so don't go there with hopes she'll talk to ya any time soon." The great fairy lowered her head. "I... I don't really care. You just said it, fairies are too stubborn. So please, please. Take me to the other side of the river." "Fine, just don't tell me I didn't warn ya." Jumping to her ferry, she looked at the green-haired fairy. "Alright, hop on and keep your hands out of the water. Seriously." She emphasized the last word with a grim look. The boat started to ply the waters slowly, strangely without making a sound. No water, no wind, nothing could be heard appart from Komachi's cheerful humming, contrasting with the mist surrounding them. "So uhm..." Dai timidly asked. "What do you know about the Higan Fai-- eeeh... The fairies living on the other side of the river, Miss Ferrywoman?" "Higan fairies, huh..." She looked somber out of a sudden. "They're... I'm not sure if ya can call them fairies anymore..." The shinigami looked to the unseen distance. "They get consumed by the influence of the evil spirits... if things get too dangerous, Lady Shikieiki has to send them to Hell without takin' their good deeds into account, because there ain't no hope for salvation..." "... I guess that's what everyone means by them being effectively dead..." the green fairy looked at the shinigami. "And, uhm... Do you know a blonde fairy, who goes by the name of Lily Black...? Is she safe or...?" "Aww, no shocked expression? No yell? This always works with other people..." Komachi scratched her head in disappointment. "I'm just kiddin'. Well, partially anyways. Fairies can get influenced by evil spirits but that only makes them a lil' crazy, they start acting weird...er, and randomly bite people. We don't send them to Hell but we give'em a good beatin'." She chuckled at the memories. "Lily Black... Lily Black... hum... Oh, yeah, I've seen her around. She was safe last time I see her, but she was a bit moppy about somethin', she kept staring at the river as if she was expectin' something to come from the mist. She kept doin' that for days, it started gettin' a lil' creepy." "I see..." the green fairy lowered her head. "Well, Lily Black has a... uh... Nevermind, actually. It's not important." Arching a brow, Komachi looked at the green fairy. "You're extremely quiet for a fairy, ya know?" She looked forward as if she could see through the mist. The boat stopped and the mist cleared. "The incident ya mentioned sounded important for once so I didn't ask ya to pay me, but... I'm countin' on ya to bring me one of those takoyaki from the stands near the road. I'd do it myself but I already got scolded twice today." The fairy didn't even bother to answer the shinigami. Instead, she jumped off the boat and rushed forward as fast as she could. However she quickly stopped in her tracks and turned around to face the shinigami. "Uh... How to reach the Yama again...?" Komachi was staring at her with half-lided eyes. "At the end of that road there." She pointed. "Big building at the end." Dai bowed. "Thank you" she turned around and head straight for the building that Komachi mentioned. The green fairy stood in front of the building mentioned previously and gulped. "Well... I hope she doesn't mistake me for a spirit that needs to be judged..." the fairy opened the door and stepped inside the building. "Hello? Anyone home?" In front of Dai stood a huge line of people, from youkai to humans, everyone seemed to be waiting for their turn. At the end of the agglomerate, there was a big, golden desk, standing higher than the rest of the ground as if its owner needed to get a good look of the people on the other side of it. “(…) the good actions you preformed do not outweigh the grievous crime that is murder. I sentence you to Hell.” The green haired woman pointed her rod at the human in front of her making him disappear. “May the next soul step forward.” The great fairy gulped and stepped forward, getting near the golden desk. "Uhm... Excuse me... I guess you're the Yama...?" A lean noppera-bou stepped forward. The woman’s eyes fell on the youkai. “That is correct and as you can see I am busy. Hiromi, it is time for your soul to be judged.” The Yama raised a hand mirror towards the youkai. The green fairy floated a little, getting nearer to the woman. "Please, Miss... Could you spare a single minute...? I have to ask you some things about the recent incident..." The Yama raised a hand indicating the youkai to wait and she turned her head to the fairy. "I am not an incident solver, I am a Yama, I pass judgement on the souls of the departed. The incident solvers are in..." She trailed off. "You are alive." She narrowed her eyes. "Did Komachi bring you here?" "Well, I am a fairy, it's not like I can really die to being with..." the fairy shook her head. "Regardless, yeah. I asked the red-haired shinigami to take me across the river. ... Did I do something wrong?" "There are many ways to kill a fairy." The Yama answered calmly. "And no, you have not done anything wrong, Komachi did." She frowned. "I gave her strict orders not to let anyone alive cross the river, especially fairies, we already have enough around here as it is. It seems I was not clear enough." "There are...? Lily said that we fairies couldn't truly die unless nature stopped existing..." the green-haired fairy shook her head once more. "Anyway, regarding the reason why I came here..." "Death is not only of the body but of the soul as well." Eiki said with a sigh. "Please, make it quick. I would love to have a cheerful talk sitting on the higan flowers but as you see, there are souls I have to judge." "Y-yeah... My apologies." the green fairy said. "Well, you see... The culprit in question is supposedly trying to bring someone back through the use of life energy... So, the question is... Did someone's soul who died in uhm... strange circumnstances is the best way I have to explain it... Maybe on a fire or something... So yeah, did anyone's soul came here like that, since, uh... The last month or something?" "Everyday I judge around 500 souls, the circumstances that surround their deaths are never strange to me. Deaths by fire are one of the most common, countless people have perished from those causes this day alone so you understand how many did last month." The Yama replied calmly. "Your information is too vague." "I-I see.... ... Well I'm sorry, it's the best we have about this incident." Dai lowered her head. "Uh... but... one more thing... On these last few hours... Has anyone died from being drained out of his or her life energy...?" the fairy had a feeling that she wouldn't like the answer. "The list of people waiting for judgement is big and we are running behind schedule as it is, it is probably that there are but have not been subjected to judgement yet." The Yama replied. "But there was a big commotion about the avatar of bishamonten arriving here." She put her hand on her chin. "I wonder when that was, I think I lost track of time again..." "The avatar of bishamonten, huh...? So... I guess the ripper actually has managed to take someone's life..." the fairy bowed. "Thank you for your help, Ms.Yama... And I'm sorry for wasting your time." she said, before quickly leaving the building, heading back towards the place where Komachi had dropped her. The fairy put her hands on her mouth. " No... She couldn't have... Uuh...? Ms.Shinigami? Are you here...?!" she put her hand next to her ear. Komachi returned with a human woman and watched her step off the boat with an unreadable expression and without making a sound. The woman made her way through the higan flowers as the shinigami followed her with her look. The green-haired fairy let out a relieved sigh, while looking slightly at the human woman as she passed by. Then she got near the shinigami and her ferry. "So, uh... Care to take me back, Ms.Shinigami...?" "Yeah." She made a movement towards the ferry prompting the fairy to jump inside. As soon as the green-haired fairy prepared to jump into the boat, a voice rang behind her. "Actually, if you would just wait a second..." this made Dai turn around to look at the owner of the voice. A blonde fairy with big, semi-transparent wings, who wore all black clothes and had bright red eyes had her arms crossed and looked fixedly at Dai. "I would like to talk with the fairy a little... You don't mind waiting for a minute, do you, Komachi?" the black fairy looked at the shinigami. Komachi slumped on the ferry, arms behind her head. "I can wait 'till I'm called to the other shore." "Enough for me. Now, Lake Fairy, if you please..." the black fairy went ahead, crossing the higan flowers. The green fairy quickly followed her.

And the Kaflan adventures continue. (Collab with Shadie as usual)
Kasen tailed Flan, looking at the vampire as she flew seemingly, without any goal in mind. She smiled, expecting Flan to stop any time soon.
The young scarlet sister stopped midair, while rubbing her chin. "Hmm... I was thinking... If this dream manipulation thing was forbidden in that Makai place... Maybe we should check there? There's a chance we might find a clue there." she said, while turning around to look at the hermit.
"See? Isn't thinking things through helpful?" She closed her eyes, tilting her index finger like a teacher explaining something to her students. "One must keep calm at all times and think before we act."
She looked at Flandre and continued. "I was thinking in going there myself, but..." Her hand rested on her chin. "Entering Makai isn't something that can be done just like that. The gate is sealed to most."
Flandre closed her eyes, lost in thought. "Hmm... I think... I remember overhearing Remilia talking about, uh... What was it again...? Someone who could make portals or something and teleport people to places... What did she say... 'Gap hag'...?" she crossed her arms.
Kasen chuckled. "That would be Yukari Yakumo. Yes, that would be a way though..." Her eyes averted Flan's gaze. "She's a bit off a pain to handle... Owing her something is like making a pact with the devil."
"Well... It's our best choice, right...? I doubt anyone else can open the gate to that Makai place..."
The hermit groaned. "It really is..." And she sighed in defeat, mentally preparing herself to talk with the infamous gap youkai. "She's usually seen at Mayohiga, so let's head there. Lead the way!"
"Got it!" the young vampire prepared to fly at high speeds, before turning around to look at the hermit once more. "Uuuh... Which way is Mayohiga...?"
Kasen smiled. "Mayohiga is somewhere near one of Gensokyo's borders, separating our world from the outside world. The border is that way." She said pointing. "As for the its actual location, there is none. It is said that the more we get lost near the barrier, higher are the probabilities that we end up finding it. That's why you'll be leading us."
The young vampire nodded before quickly taking off at full speed in the direction Kasen pointed.
The hermit's dapeng batted its wings, following Flandre closely.
'I hope that we can at least avoid her shikigami...' Frowning, she looked at Flandre. 'I'd prefer to get to know Flandre a bit more before we go into any serious encounter.'
The vampire landed softly on the floor once they finally arrived at Mayohiga. "Hey! I did it! I found the place!" she was practically jumping out of happiness, with a big smile on her face.
"Good job, Flandre!" The hermit grinned as she jumped off her dapeng. She approached her and petted her head, looking at light mist covering what it seemed to be a village, much like the Human Village, but deserted apart from a few stray cats. "'Village of Cats', we're in the middle of Mayohiga."
Flandre looked around the area, still smiling. "So... Where's this 'gap hag' woman?" she said, while kneeling down to look at a small cat.
"She's said to usually loiter around a state to the north of here." Kasen said, petting a cat with a smile as more cats started to gather around her. "So we have to go there... or, you know... Stay here forever... ahahaha~!" Cats were now mobbing around the hermit like a feline mosh pit.
The young vampire blinked a few times while watching the scene. "I... I'm just going to go on ahead...!” ‘Wow, she really likes cats...’ she said, while heading straight north.
"No, ahah... that tickles... W-wait, ahaha...! I'll go too!" She stretched her hand. "But... they're too fluffy... I can't...."
Flan sighed and took flight. She went over to Kasen and grabbed her arm, taking her away from the cats before heading north.
"Uuh... bye, bye!" She waved at her newly found furry friends. "I'll talk to you later!"
As Flandre was turning on one corner, a yellow haired woman appeared on her path, a calm yet menacing look on her face. "Who exactly are you, may I ask?"
"You're Ran, aren't you?" She pulled Flandre to her side. "Yukari's shikigami?"
"You are correct, and you are?" The shikigami asked, her expression unchanging.
"Kasen Ibaraki, a hermit. We want to talk with your master, it's important."
"And who are you?" The blonde promptly ignored the hermit, eyes falling on Flandre's frame.
Flandre's crimson eyes stared at the kitsune, angrily. She didn't like the woman. "... Flandre Scarlet."
"Scarlet? As in... Oh, I see. So the rumors are true, you do exist." Yellow eyes scanned Flandre. "You look nothing like Remilia."
Kasen grit her teeth. "Hey! How is that important to this? We need Yukari's assistance, you know what has been happening, right? Is there time for petty talk---"
The kitsune looked at Kasen straight in the eyes. "This is important. I'm the one who decides if I should trust you enough to talk with my master. You're awfully impatient for a hermit, Miss Ibaraki."
"Of course I exist! Just who the hell do you think you are, fox-girl!?" the young vampire yelled, showing her fangs. "And don't you dare compare me to my sister!"
Ran smirked. "Indeed, I shouldn't compare you to your sister, after all, at least she knows the basics of courtesy."
On her side, Kasen was starting to get angry as well. "Leave her out of this! How is attacking someone---"
"Is it because of the time you spent locked inside a room?" The fox continued, still ignoring Kasen.
"I couldn't care less about courtesy and about how my sister ac--" the vampire froze once she heard Ran talk about her being locked up in the basement. "H-how... How do you know...?"
"Everyone knows, rumors and whispers, about the monster that Remilia Scarlet has locked away in the depths of her mansion." The kitsune answered, her voice completely even."
There it was again. That word.
"Look at those wings! She's a hellspawn! Just throw her into the sunlight already!" an old vampire once said.
The young scarlet sister's face darkened, as she reached for a spellcard. She didn't say a word.
Ran smirked. "Do you have nothing to say, little Scarlet?"
Flandre's wings glowed brightly as she put the spellcard in front of her face. "Forbidden Barrage [Critical Red Eyes]" the glow on her wings suddenly switched to a blood red color, and fast, red lasers came out of them, going straight for the kitsune.
The lasers quickly approached Ran who made no move to avoid them, someone, however, pushed her out of the way.
Kasen stood there, looking at the beams, that had missed her by mere inches, explode the house behind her to bits. "Flandre, please calm down!"
The vampire paid no attention to the hermit. Instead, she focused her sight on the kitsune. She extended her arm, opened her hand and a small red orb formed on it. "Squeeze and..."
Kasen's eyes went wide as she saw the vampire stretch her arm, it was just like that time...
"GET DOWN!" She yelled at the kitsune and she rushed towards her.
"You really are a monster after all!"
Time seemed to slow down as the hermit saw Flandre close her hand, she stretched her right arm directly in front of the vampire's aim and she watched her arm being blown apart.
And at that point, Flan returned to her senses. ‘N-no... I-I didn't...’ she hurried over to the hermit's side.
Kasen didn't let a sound, her body was shaking and she was panting heavily, supporting herself with her remaining arm on the ground. The fox in front of her stood dumbstruck, looking at the scene in front of her with the face of someone who had realized her plan had gone wrong. The arm that had been supporting its master's weight suddenly shot upwards, clenching on Ran's robes and dragging her down to her level.
" You... I realized... this was supposed to be a test... wasn't it?" The hermits eyes, previously covered by her hair, looked menacingly at the kitsune. "No matter how you put this... you took it too far!" Her voice felt like low growl. "I don't give a crap if you trust us or not, bring you master here, now! She's the one who has to decide who she talks to, not you, a mere servant that I could crush with my hand!"
Ran was bewildered, staring numbly at the Kasen as she let her go, promptly dropping her hand to the floor again. Uncharacteristically stumped as to how to act, Ran stood.
"I will... I will call her." And she left.
The young vampire kneeled down next to Kasen, crying. "I-I'm sorry... I didn't mean to, I just... I..."
Kasen's hand fell on Flandre's head. "Don't cry... I'm alright..." She raised her head, and smiled, it looked a bit pained despite her efforts, but she smiled nonetheless and then settled to lie down on her back. "Don't worry..." Her head tilted to the side, looking at her inexistent right arm. "...my arm was gone to begin with."
"N-no! You're not alright! I-I need to take you to a doctor or something or--! ... Wait... What... What do you mean by that...?"
"I... lost my arm, a long time ago... I'm still searching for it. What I had was just an... illusion... magic, if you will..." She smiled. "Even though it has been lost for years... when I hit my fake arm it still hurts... Our brains are weird, aren't they?"
‘It was a fake...? But then, how did it...?’ the vampire shook her head. "I... I shouldn't have used my ability. I... I'm sorry... I got too angry when she called me a monster and..." the young scarlet sister lowered her head, still crying.
Kasen sat up and put her hand on the vampire's chin, making her look at her. "No, you're not." She smiled. "You just need to learn how to control both your power and your emotions and I promised you I would, help, didn't I?" She softly wiped Flandre's tears away with her thumb. "...Changes aren't exactly easy... they take time."
The young vampire wept a few times before finally stopping crying. "Y-yeah..." she said, wiping the rest of her tears off with her arm. "Is... There anyway I can help you restore your arm...?"
"I just need sake and I'll be fine." Kasen stood up slowly. "Maybe Yukari has some."
‘Sake...? Is she really a hermit...?’ Flandre thought, looking at Kasen with a confused look. "How long will that foxgirl take...?”
"Oh, she will, I think you've traumatized my shikigami." The gap youkai was hovering above them, peeking from a gap as she flapped her fan. "That aside, what an odd pair you two make. Not that one of you wasn't already odd to begin with." She added, amusedly giving Kasen a look.
'Uuh... I knew she was trouble.' The hermit kept staring at the youkai, feeling a bit of sweat forming on her forehead. Flandre looked at Yukari. "I'm guessing you're that gap ha-- eeeh... Yukari Yakumo?" she quickly corrected herself. Provoking someone else's anger wasn't the best course of action right now.
"That is correct." Another gap opened in front of them as she stepped out, her whole body visible. "And you're Flandre Scarlet, Remilia's sibling. I wonder what you're doing here so far from home."
She pointed at Kasen. "Along with the weird and naggy one."
"Oi..."
Flandre crossed her arms. "I heard from the maid fairies that Marisa was attacked by this ripper guy, so I ran away from home to help her." she looked at Kasen. "As for her, she wanted to help too, so..."
"Hum... the 'ripper'." Yukari's joking tone was instantly gone. "I see..." She turned on her heels and started walking, a gap forming in front of her. "Come inside."
"Hey... Isn't this what Kasen used to summon all those animals...?" the young vampire grabbed Kasen and jumped inside the gap.

The Feels shall hit you.
Complete silence developed the makeshift battlefield.
How strong that would have become, as for you and me I want to be together.
Near the small crack that allowed Gensokyians to enter the Underground, there was a small crater where a single girl laid in. Her legs were completely unusable; she looked up at the sky.
Skies of freedom, why have you forsaken me?
She saw the early morning’s ray slipping through trees, the rays touched the snow, glittering and nearly blinding the girl. She was on the verge of life and death.
Please, I don’t want to die.
That phrase rushed through her head, bitter memories of betrayal ran through her mind. For a moment, this girl thought she had gained a friend.
All friends treat you right until they throw you away like trash.
A friend who treat her with little respect, but it was enough to make her happy.
She’s just like the rest! Shinmyoumaru did the same to me!
She wrapped her arms around whatever snow was left. Hugging it tight, like a young child with a brand new teddy bear. She smiled for a second, coughing loudly, breaking the silence of the area.
Since Hell didn’t accept me… Where will I go, to an endless void of darkness, only fitting for a trickster like me?
Her wild thoughts where going left and right. Her body was useless to her now. Yuuka had crushed her legs.
“Maybe if I die, everything will be better…” She muttered, coughing again.
If I die…
Her eyelids began to give way at last. She could feel the growing void of death.
“No!” She cried out, her eyes swinging open.
I am not going to lose to death! I’m not going to lose to anyone!!
Yet she laid there, in the crater, with no friends or allies.

After a short bit of thinking after Reisen left, Youmu had made the decision to calmly fret about the situation.
“Lady Yuyuko is doing something dangerous?” she said to herself, swinging at nothing with her sword. When Youmu was worried about something, she was a fierce pacer. Walking to and fro amidst the rubble of the gate, she vented her worries. “Why would she go and do that without telling me? I would have helped!”
Exasperated, Youmu sat down on a piece of gate rubble and sighed. “She’s so annoying sometimes… going off on her own without letting me know… She’ll probably be fine though….”
Youmu managed to smile, then stood up and began walking toward the mansion to prepare. But a thought intruded her conscience: “Wasn’t there talk of an incident going on?” This managed to refuel her distress, and she went back to pacing near the front gate, swinging at the air in frustration and worry. This cycle went on for a while, with different errant thoughts pulling her back each time, until Youmu sensed a presence near the front gate.
“Lady Yuyuko!” Youmu called out, rushing past the destroyed gate. “I was so worried! Let me KNOW when you’re going to…” Youmu cut her sentence short, as she got a glimpse of the figure approaching her.
Instead of the familiar blue and pink colors of her lady, Youmu instead saw the foreboding blue and red colors of Eirin Yagokoro, who was fast approaching her with a grim look on her face.
“Oh, L-L-Lady Yagokoro! What a surprise to see Y-You here!” Youmu gulped, unsure what to do with the new situation. “Do you need anyt-?“ Before Youmu could finish, Eirin interrupted in a loud, worried voice, her face dark as she said “Youmu Konpaku, you have to come with me. Right now.”
“W-What?” Youmu stammered, even more confused now. “N-No, I can’t! Lady Yuyuko said to stay here!’ Eirins countenance changed from dark, to pleading. “Youmu, we can’t waste any time! Yuyuko is in danger! I need your help!” Eirin prostrated herself on the ground, her forehead to the ground. “Only you can save her right now!”
Youmu experienced a rush of emotions going past her, shifting from worry to fear, fear to sadness, sadness to anger, and finally anger to resolve. Without stammering, Youmu said “Miss Yagokoro, please stand up. Lead me to where she is!” Obliging, Eirin stood up, and, looking relieved, clasped Youmu’s shoulder. “Thank you, Youmu. I knew you would be brave enough to help. Follow me, I know where she is.” Eirin turned around and flew off, toward the Scarlet Devil Mansion.
Youmu, her face grim and determined, followed soon after. She could think of nothing else than saving the one she loved most.

Unhurriedly, my fast steps resounded on the snow. It was risky I knew that much, but I had to get there, if time had ever been of any importance, it had to be now.
I mustn’t get lost, I mustn’t get lost, not now.
Through the dense forest of bamboo, the big mansion that once had shone in front of the bright moon had become visible, now surrounded by scarlet mist that would have, otherwise, contrasted with the day sky.
Arriving at the mansion’s gate, I yell. I call for help.
Fortunately, my desperate voice has been heard and a group of Earth Rabbits approach me, questioning me about what had brought me to their home. There is no surprise on their faces when they see the unmoving body in my arms. That wasn’t the first attack, they said, but they felt restless… Eirin Yakugoro, their doctor, wasn’t present at that time.
How would we save her, then? She was badly hurt by someone, there had to be a way!
They let me inside, they would try, at least, to stabilize her,
I lay the girl on a bed, gently removing a mesh of her long, blue hair away from her features as she slowly breathed, each breath closer to death.
I stand up. In a moment, just a moment, it would be over.

#LackOfIdeas, so have some KaFlan featuring Yukari. Collab with Dani. Also no BGM tags because I'm lazyyyy.
As soon as they stepped inside the gap, they found themselves in the middle of a traditional looking living room, a kotatsu standing in the middle and a bunch of weird, not at all traditional, objects and devices were scattered around almost as if that was a kappa's lair. A weird box with a glass in front was showing what it seemed to be tiny people being judge for their cooking skills, or so it seemed since they spoke in a weird language. Kasen appeared to not have noticed them at all, she had just let Flandre drag her and currently looked like she was half-dying. No, the arm didn't hurt anymore. Her soul did. From being there. With Yukari. Flandre looked around the room as she let go of Kasen. "Woah... What's... What's all this weird stuff...?" she walked around the room, taking a closer look at the objects scattered around. Yukari chuckled as she slumped on the tatami. "Treasures from the outside world. They're interesting, aren't they?" The young scarlet sister nodded intensively. "I've never seen this stuff before... Not even in the books on Voile." she looked at the 'box' with curious eyes, but quickly shook her head and looked in other direction. She felt like the box might suck her in if she looked at it for too long. Not like she could understand what the tiny people inside it were saying, anyway. "Not a lot of people have the luxury to see these. That's a television, don't worry, nothing will happen to you if you touch it." She said and then looked at the hermit on the other side of the kotatsu, making a movement towards the sake jar on top of the table. "That is a foreign show, it's like a play, but happening on the outside world instead of right in front of us." Kasen put her hand under her Chinese dress and grabbed a sake box from there, then begrudgingly pouring some liquid in it. "I see... Maybe I should try and convince my sis to get me one for my room!" she said happily, but the smile on her face faded soon after. Of course, she forgot. Remilia wasn't like that anymore. The vampire sat down near Kasen and sighed. "So, regarding our reason to come here..." Yukari tilted her head. "You want to get somewhere, usually inaccessible to people." Kasen just limited herself to chug down the contents of the box and then pouring herself yet another box. Flandre looked at Kasen. "You're going to get drunk if you keep drinking like that." she looked back at the gap youkai and nodded. "To be more exact, we... We want to go to this Makai place. We think that we might find clues there.... Regarding the incident." 'As if...’ Kasen chugged down the second box as casually as she was drinking water. Yukari put her fan in front of her mouth. "Makai... Interesting, that is certainly logical, however... that place isn't exactly hospitable but I reckon you know that." Flandre nodded negatively. "Not really... To be fair, this is the first time I've heard of it..." "It seems that the hermit is failing at her job~" The youkai sing-songed. Kasen was semi-listening to the conversation, she tore a bit off her dress off as wrapped it around a small mass off smoke that had started to form on the place where her right arm should be, as she wrapped the pink cloth around it, it started to form the shape of an arm, as if a real limb was under the makeshift bandage. "That's strange, to see you being so obvious about it." Yukari commented as Kasen stood quiet. "Both you and Flandre already know about it, there's no point in hiding it." She stated as she opened and closed her new arm as to confirm it was fully functional. "You could've asked me for bandages." "I'm in your debt enough as it is." The hermit replied with a sigh. "Your fake arm is made of... Smoke...? It looked very real for it being made out of smoke..." she turned to Yukari. "So... What exactly is Makai?" "A place for demons and weird people with weird tastes in magic, which is why that place is dangerous. There are good people there, the creator of that world, Shinki, is surprisingly a very kind person. That place is known for its dusty, deserted lands and dark reddish sky, or was the last time I visited." Yukari commented and then added lazily. "I try to avoid it since it's not a very good spot for summer vacations." "Demons, huh..." Flandre looked at her wings. "And how exactly would we reach Makai...? I doubt there's a big door that says 'Welcome' if it really is such a dangerous place." "That's why you're here, isn't it? You want me to open a gap directly into Makai." She answered. "And I'm willing to assist you." The gap youkai saw as Flandre's expression seemed to lighten up. "However..." She continued, her fan in front of her mouth, eyes peering amusingly at her guests. "I knew it..." The hermit groaned internally. "I would want you to do something for me~" Yukari cheerfully retracted her fan. "And that is...?" Kasen continued, unsure if she wanted to know the answer. "A secret for now~!" The vampire raised her eyebrows. "Uh... Sure, I guess. I wouldn't really mind returning the favor." she shrugged. ‘She's kind of creeping me out, honestly...’ Kasen looked at Flandre. "I'm not sure if we should trust---" "Then it's settled!" Yukari interjected with a smile. "Hey, I haven't agreed with---" With a movement of her hand a gap opened near them. "Whenever you're ready. Please don't die there because you still owe me a favor.~" The hermit eyes were fixed on the gap, the corners of her mouth twitching as a look of defeat formed on her features. 'Ah... I just sold my soul to the devil...' Flandre looked at the gap. ‘Makai, huh...? I guess this is as close as I will ever get to a trip back to the Outside World... Back home.’ she immediately jumped into the gap. Kasen approached the gap and before jumping in, she gave Yukari a suspicious look. "I've got my eyes on you." As she jumped in she could still hear the gap youkai's creepy chuckle echoing in her ears.

Collab with Bubug, if it wasn't obvious enough by the strange formatting bit :v
Frenetically, Marisa wrote every single piece of information she could remember.
‘Ripper – can control dark magic -> bring people’s nightmares to life. - Possibly someone controlling or being possessed by a magical item. - Attacking it causes no harm. You exhaust it if you keep attacking (?) - Sigil on your neck reacts to it, it burns when you’re near it. -You see images (memories?). An old lady, burning -And the lady with the ripper – maybe possessed after all? You saw yourself as being the ripper. Possible illusion? Due to dream manipulation? You got to a conclusion after seeing yourself… the nightmares, the ripper… Yuuka says it’s blocking your memories but you can’t remember it at all. Yuuka knows the answer, she didn’t tell you. Description: Ripper wears a dark robe, usually cloaked. Usually uses a scythe but also uses swords.
Other abilities: Shapeshift … ’Marisa stopped to think about what more she could add to the list but nothing else came to mind. Clenching her hand she growled in frustration and then restarted writing. She could feel blood seeping through the bandages, she had broken a few stitches after all, but this was more important. There were other things she didn’t want to forget. ‘You are Marisa Kirisame, a human and a magician. Reimu, miko clad in red and white, is one of your best friends. Alice is also…’And she stopped. Alice was also what exactly? Like Reimu? Golden eyes fell on the items she had knocked from the desk, among them was a charm with a tiny doll. Stretching her hand, she reached for it. She looked at the doll on her palm. Alice had given her the tiny charm… she couldn’t remember why and when but she could remember she always had it with her, no matter where she went. Why was that? Alice and she were friends, someone she enjoyed spending time with, reading books, chit-chatting over tea and cookies. Snarky and no-nonsense was her standard behavior, but sometimes, only sometimes, Marisa would say something that made her smile or chuckle and that always felt like a victory to her. Alice had a beautiful smile, she wished the girl smiled more. Why hadn’t she felt like that towards Reimu? Then she remembered, she remembered how she had felt when the Ripper held her captive, when the Ripper tried to--- ‘Shall I make it true?’ Make what true? Her worst nightmare? Losing Alice? What would she feel if she lost the puppet master? How would her lazy days spent idly reading books enveloped in the gentle aroma of jasmine tea be like without her? How would her life be like if Alice was gone? Slowly her hand closed on the charm, her throat feeling tight and her mouth running dry as she reached a conclusion. She couldn’t. She couldn’t imagine life without her. She couldn’t imagine it because Alice wasn’t just a friend to her and she had cheerfully kept on going, blindly unaware of that simple fact. Shaking slightly, as if what she was about to do had power to tamper with fate itself, Marisa reached the notepad and rewrote the sentence. ‘Alice is what you treasure most in your life, don’t ever let her go again. You love her, idiot.’ Two halves of her brain did a quiet valse inside her skull as if someone punched her on the forehead or just slapped her to sleep. Definitely just simple 'as if', as if there was no violent one, no cheeky one, and no golden shining little one, ever, ever in her room, similar to this. As if the one closest to her whose hands were always stained with blood, who now was still bloodily drenched, was just simply, merely, peacefully, sleeping. So it actually did come to that... Broken pieces of that little teapot, the thing she cherished that vanished along with the screams of bridge children, lied there quietly, untrembling. The world above that rained pain on us, perhaps you thought this was your blessing grace? Trails of blood on that fallen piece of paper tainted with handwritings... "Kirisame." How much did it take for my voice to keep itself from wavering---"Is this amount of blood enough of an answer for you?" The me that probably was seeking for a sad, poor lost lamb..."Hope that has the color of blood." On her feet that kept wobbling, she flopped down on the floor, next to that quiet figure. Her hand that as shaken as it was, reached out for that golden hair, that golden, little hope in the color of blood. For the sake of those who were there, close to me, and dragged into this, by you.And for the sake of pitiful, sad, little golden birds that would never get to see tomorrow's light. "Let these awakened memories of yours carry you out of here..." So irrational, and therefore so sad. "Miss Kirisame." Marisa watched as Satori clumsily made her way towards her, she figured the mind-reader had probably hit her head when the witch stumbled on her. ‘Well, yeah, not gonna apologize to that, you totally deserved it ze. Also, I ain’t paying for that teapot.’She listened to the girl, her brows knitted together in a confused frown and then Satori’s hand made its way to her hair again. “Nah, nah, stop!” Marisa held her open palm before she went any further. “First, Orin tried to protect you and Yuuka knocked her out. You should do your job as her master and check on her, that looked really painful and she’s bleeding.” She pointed at the sofa . Second…” She glared at the girl. “Leave my hair out of this, you should learn what personal space is, for once. You don’t talk with people a lot, do you?” The witch sighed, putting the doll charm on top of her closed notepad and rest her hand on her wound. “Third… about your question, I’m not answering what you asked, I’m answering what you wanted to ask and…” Marisa started getting progressively redder but she did her best to look at Satori in the eyes. “Alice… is…” Her brow twitched slightly and she breathed out, trying her best not to look embarrassed in front of the youkai. “She’s… someone I can’t live without. I… love her.” ‘And just so you know, I’m going to make you pay for making me say this out loud, keep that in mind.’ “And I was dumb for not noticing it sooner…” She ran her hand through the bloody bandages. “I will do anything to protect her. So…” She narrowed her eyes, embarrassment gone, her voice sounding lower than usual. “These wounds…” she started, feeling the remaining stitches under her thumbs. “…they are way too serious for a human like me to survive them. You were talking about her sacrifice, weren’t you? What did Alice do?” She adjusted herself to the desk, straightening herself and putting the notebook on the opposite side from where Satori was sitting. “Memories will take me away from here, but only your answer can tell me where to. Where did Alice go?” Marisa casually grabbed her mini-hakkero. “And this time, I don’t want riddles nor empty words, you will answer my questions or I will make you.” Her voice wasn’t menacing, it was straightforward and casual as if she was stating a fact. Won't it be better if colorful flowers can blossom before spring for the sake of winter children? But everything is never done before too late.Tenderly, quietly were there drops of blood dripping from that little red ball on the couch, that few hours ago were still up and about, in a split second standing out while falling mid-air, then rapidly meshed in the color of crimson carpet. The sad ones' dreams held as their existences wavered in the wind, painted the winter transparent. And the alive ones' reddened thoughts streamed like a March's tea party. ~My sealed feelings spreads out the roots and heads to light beyond white clouds-- "If your-- Because your words did not lie about your love" , perhaps somewhere her past self planned to answer these questions, "For the one that crossed the line of fate for you, who were dead and are alive." ~Someday I will hold you in my hands. "For the one that was willing to be that shadowed shine for you, her shining shadow," ~Tanned petals are floating in the wind on a summer day "For that colorful transience" ~Have a good sleep here. "Soundless rainbow river became her path from here." Golden eyes looked down at nothing in particular as the mind-reader’s words resounded in her ears. She clenched her hands, her chest tightening up. So she had died… and Alice had brought her back. Any magician, human or not, would know that such magic never came without consequences for the caster, a punishment for those who dared to cross the border of fate and death. Quietly, she heard everything Satori had to say, her mind absent mindedly wondering about what the other meant by ‘you, her shinning shadow’, a sliver of hope shining in her heart as she wondered about the meaning concealed in her words, only to be quickly replaced by worry and crushed into inexistence. “Alice… is she…” The blonde gritted her teeth. “…alright?” ‘The Girl of Death’, had been Alice’s tittle when she first encountered her… and now she had brought her back to life. The last thing she wanted, the very last thing was to see her suffering, burdened with something she had caused with her own recklessness and yet… “…The… Prismriver sisters, that’s what you mean, right?” She looked at Satori, her voice suddenly sounding weak. “Why would she go there?” Unnecessary questions, just like those that filled the world, swirled over that little one's head. As if the stone just hit the water surface, even when the water has stilled, there were ripples silently around, left unhealed. She found herself sitting back straight, maintaining a proper posture, as if there were no longer any motivation, any force pulling her forwards. The child that had remembered, and the child that had chosen to forget... Her quiet words, were somehow barely audible, as if a chirping of a bird gone astray. "She is all right. She will be all right." Walk now, humans of the end. "As much as this world allows her to." This ridiculous, sad little world... "That one, who came and left, solely wishing to chase after your goals." That one, who feared no death or pain worse than death itself, who were just a little victim, like her lonely children, involved in this battle's. "It was only for your sake." That one, who came to her, who came to them, bringing a drop of sunlight. And yet, her original sunlight, was there on the couch, coagulated blood darkening crimson... From the corner of her gaze that could not stray away from her scarlet child, there appeared a single, small shadow... "Please bring her out and tend to her." The back of the child, under layers of clothes still glistened golden, as the other pets of hers approaching her gently, as if her unspoken commands were heard. Pensive eyes followed the pets fussing over Orin, the replies from the mind reader echoing in the calmness that was now her mind. She had felt tired and she was sure she was still, but her awareness was as clear as ever. ‘A sound mind in a sound body’, her body wasn’t sound but Marisa was a firm believer that thought had more influence over the body than the opposite. “Only for my sake, huh… That idiot, doing something so uncalled for…” Muttered words that held no real meaning. Even without her epiphany Marisa would’ve done the same for Alice were the roles reversed. She closed her eyes, brows knitting together on a light frown. “Screw what the world allows.” She stood up, slowly and unsteady yet determined, hands using the desk as support. Head turning to the one still sitting on the ground, she smirked, her expression boastful as if the magician had reminded herself about who she was - someone who would always stubbornly brave against adversities. “The world can kiss my glorious butt ze!” The blonde extended her hand towards Satori. “I’ll make sure she’ll be alright ze.” She smiled. “It will be troublesome for the world if it underestimates humans.”

Collab with Shadie #SorryAlice C':
Kasen looked around as they arrived to Makai. There was dust everywhere, granted, but it didn't seem as deserted or as depressing as Yukari had described. Up from the mounds they were standing on, her eyes could spot villages scattered around here and there and the sound of voices and the general noises one would expect from such places. Her eyes wandered about to noticed trees and green patches off grass near the communities, the sky, however, was still of a reddish hue.
"Huh... it doesn't look as bad as I expected... then again looks can be deceiving."
Flandre crossed her arms. "It... Looks kind of pretty, in my opinion." the vampire took flight and began to go in the direction of one of the villages.
The hermit followed Flandre. "It does look pretty. I wonder what made it change." She looked down at the village. "Regardless of how it looks like, we can't let our guard down."
Flandre nodded and landed near the village, slowly entering it, taking a look around her surroundings.
'I was planning to ask Shinki about what she might now about this and I know she lives in Pandemonium but...' She looked at the village as she landed. "This place sure is bigger than I antecipated..." She half-closed her eyes. "I feel cheated by my own books..."
The vampire sighed. "I guess... If we want to learn something about the ripper... We should probably ask people around." she rubbed her chin. "Maybe we should ask about where this Shinki woman is...?"
"We should try and pick someone that doesn't like like they want to kill people with their stare." Kasen commented while she was observing the people walking on the streets. "Since it would become completely obvious we're not from Makai if we asked that, I'm positive everyone here knows where her fortress is located."
Flandre didn't get to hear the last lines, since she already was running off to ask the first random person she saw. "Hey! Excuse me!"
The gruff demon woman in front of her looked down in her direction, her hands in her pocket looking positively like a yakuza version of a youkai.
"Whaddya want?"
Flandre gulped. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. "Uh... Well... I was wondering... Do you know where a woman named Shinki lives?"
"Haan? 'A woman named Shinki'? You mean, the creator of this place?" She looked down on Flandre and then smirked. "You're not from here, are ya, little girl? What is an outsider doing here when the barrier is closed?" She inched closer to Flandre.
"Well. Uh... I..." Flandre froze. She had messed up big deal. ‘Ugh... Think Flandre, think...!’ "I... I got exiled from my own world a day ago. An old, scary woman threw me into a portal and I ended up here."
"Ooh... Then, why would you want to talk to Lady Shinki?" The demon asked, a suspicious look on her face.
"Uuh... Because I... I'm a big fan of her! And since I got thrown here then I thought I could use the opportunity." she said, making the most obvious fake smile she could.
"Hey, are ya take me for a fool? It's pretty obvious you're lyin'." She cracked her knuckles. "For an outsider ta step in our world, ya sure have guts to show waltz in here and show yer mug." Her smirk grew bigger. "Hey, ya guys!"
The people on the streets stopped walking and looked at the scene.
"We've a lyin' outsider that wants to die, let's oblige her."
And suddenly, everyone was surrounding them.
Kasen looked at the scene. "...Oh boy..."
Flandre looked around her. "Uh... I... I think I messed up..." she summoned her Lævateinn and got ready to drive off the attackers.
The group of demons mobbed on Flandre without any warning and Kasen prepared her hand as she watched the scene unfold. 'Tch...'
Flandre quickly took out a spellcard. "Taboo [Four of a Kind]!" she glowed red for a second, and then 3 other Flandres, each armed with their own Lævateinn, appeared around her.
That didn't seem to faze her opponents, spells and blunt weapons started flying about as demons tried to hit both Flandre and her clones.
Kasen stopped on her tracks. 'Aah... which one is the real one?'
Flandre and the clones tried her best to dodge the incoming attacks. ‘Dammit! It should've worked!’
Suddenly, a barrage of dark red danmaku bullets rained down the area at a high speed, forcefully knocking away some demons. "Just what the hell is going on here?!" a voice rang, angrily.
The mob stopped, recognizing the voice and suddenly everything feel silent.
A woman descended down to the floor. She had long blond hair and dark crimson eyes. She wore a white shirt with a big blood red skirt, and a bow on her head of the same color. She held a small magical wand with a star on top of it, and the symbol of a red five-pointed star was painted on her left cheek. And finally, she had big, purple, bat-like wings.
This last detail made Flan, who discarded her clones, somewhat shocked. ‘She's a...?!’
"I believe I asked you damned idiots a question." the newcomer said, looking angrily at the mob of demons.
"We've found a trespasser from the outside, Miss Ellis!"
Another demon piped in. "And we don't allow trespassers here!"
The rest of the demons chimed in. "Yeah!"
Elis turned around and looked at the young scarlet sister, her crimson eyes staring into her own. She got near Flandre, put her hand under her chin and raised her head, as if she was inspecting her. "My, my..." the makaian vampire, backed away from Flan and turned to the crowd of demons. "Stand back, guys. She's not an outsider." she said, with a grin on her face.
They started whispering among themselves.
"Oh,really?"
"Maybe really is a weirdo with a thing for Lady Shinki?"
"Well, if Lady Elis says so, then it's probably true..."
"Who cares, let's just grab booze."
And like that the mob of demons started to scatter away.
Kasen let a deep breath out. 'Crisis averted... somehow...'
Flandre hurried over to Kasen's side, her head lowered. "Sorry, I messed up..."
Elis got near the two once she made sure there weren't any demons in hearing range. "You two owe me one. Better be thankful I'm not going to ask you to give me a taste of your blood."
Kasen patted Flandre's head and then stretched it towards the vampire in front of her.
"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Miss Elis. My name is Kasen Ibaraki and this is Flandre Scarlet. You have our gratitude." She bowed and then she added as an afterthought. "I don't think my blood tastes good."
"Heh. Whatever. I'll be the one to decide that. And Scarlet, huh... Now there's a name I haven't heard in ages." Elis played with her wand. "So where did you two come from, and what are you doing here in Makai anyway? I doubt you came here to get a tan."
'Why do people even think of this as a vacation spot?' The hermit collected her thoughts. "We're from Gensokyo, there's a lot of trouble going on because of a dream manipulation user. So we came here to ask Lady Shinki for information on that."
"Gensokyo, you say?" the vampire chuckled. "How's the spoiled brat doing? I heard she moved there."
"'Spoiled brat...'" The hermit trailed off as she searched in her mind for someone who was from Makai. "Ah, you mean Alice Margatroid?" She smiled. "I've seen her at a few parties at one of our shrines. She's doing great. She's pretty well known there for being a great puppet master and loved by the children in the Human Village, they love her doll plays."
"... The kid gets an incredibly powerful grimoire and she uses it to do doll plays instead of cause havoc...? Tsk. Such a model demon she is." Elis said to herself, but loud enough that Kasen would hear her. "Anyway, you wanted to see the almighty goddess of Makai?" she said, with a sarcastic tone. "Fine, I'll take you to her. Under two conditions."
'That's probably because she isn't a demon...' Kasen raised her brows, wondering if she was going to sell her soul to a different kind of demon now. "...What are the conditions?"
Elis raised a finger. "One. Don't mention you know where Alice is. No one here wants to cause a full-fledged war with Gensokyo just because 'mommy wants her little blondie back'" she raised a second finger. "And two. Once you're done, you get your ass out of Makai. Forever. Come back and I'll take all your blood reserves. We clear?"
"Wait... she's Shinki's daughter?!" Kasen looked to the side, searching her memories of Alice that, albeit few, still showed that one time she'd seen the doll maker getting a bit too tipsy in one of the parties and leaving, only to be found asleep the next day, hanging upside-down from a tree after falling for a fairy's trap. 'No waaaay!!! She's that Shinki's daughter?! What kind of person is Shinki?'
She could still hear all the horrible puns the girl had to endure for a week, courtesy of Marisa.
'Hey, Alice? Did that prank sweep you off your feet? I bet it turned your world upside-down!'
"Eeeh... Who would've guessed..." The hermit dead-panned, unconvinced.
The makaian vampire nodded. "Yeah, or that's what Shinki and the spoiled brat said back in the day, anyway. Rumors are that Alice was just a human child that Shinki kidnapped for her own purposes." she shrugged. "Not that I care."
"Aah, that explains it..." Kasen raised her brows. "But doesn't Shinki know where her daughter is living? I mean... if she went all the trouble to possibly kidnap her..."
"As far as I know myself, Alice left without telling anyone. But, who knows. Shinki's a goddess. Maybe she just wants to leave her daughter alone." Elis chuckled. "You know, Alice is in a difficult age and all that. She needs to fall in love and stuff."
"She'll be in trouble if she falls for one of the weirdos she surrounds herself with..." The hermit commented as she looked to the side.
"Heh. It can't be much weirder than living in a land surrounded by demons, right?" Elis crossed her arms. "Anyway, we wasted enough time chit-chatting. Want me to take you to Shinki or not?"
Memories of all the Gensokyo inhabitants she knew flashed through her mind. "Yeah... You'd be surprised." Then the hermit nodded. "Once again, thank you for helping us."
"Bah. I just want to get rid of you, one way or another." she turned around and took flight in a general direction.
Kasen followed suite, her eyes paying attention to any suspicious movement around them.

Collab with Dani, you know the drill. Also new ships.
Marisa walked the streets of Former Hell, she had been getting a lot of weird looks and she couldn’t blame them considering her current look. Slowly, too slowly for her taste, she made her way to the exit when she suddenly felt a force impacting with her back. “Agh…” “Yo, Marisa! Watcha doin’ here?” A tiny, orange haired oni looked at Marisa with a grin. Marisa turned her head slowly towards the girl. “Ah… Suika… hey…” The oni put her hand on her chin, inspecting the pale looking Marisa in front of her who was wearing a bandage around her forehead, pink pajamas and a pale purple trench coat she had legitimately borrowed form Satori. “Image change?” The magician groaned in exasperation. “It’s a long story…” “Ya goin’ home already?” The oni asked, supporting Marisa. “Yeah, and I’m fine, I can walk.” “No ya not, ya look like crap!” Suika said with a hearty laugh. “Why, thanks for the compliment…” Marisa chuckled smiling faintly. They continued their way, with the witch narrating what had happened as they reached the outside. “Oh, there were rumors about a fight happenin’ outside, so it was you, huh? That ripper guy is trouble…” Suika narrowed her eyes. “I hope that bastard doesn’t come here.” Stepping on the snow, Marisa looked around. “I need to find my broom…” ‘Or what’s left of it anyways…’ “I’ll help ya out.” Then, in the silence, there was a slight cough, and disturbed snow where it looks like there was dried blood all over it. “Huh… did your hear that?” The magician straightened herself up looking in the direction of the sound. “Hear what?” Walking towards it, the blonde looked around. It was unheard of people getting lost in snow storms at this time of the year, it was best to make sure this wasn’t one of those cases than ignore it. It was then that she reached a crater on the ground, the snow surrounding it was painted in red, died blood contrasting with the brightly white ground. “What the…” Golden eyes fell on an immobile figure at the center of the whole mess. “Ah… S-Seija!?” Awkwardly, Marisa stumbled towards the amanojaku. “O-oi, Seija!” She barley had enough energy to move, she barley tilted her neck, looking at Marisa with weak pale eyes. “H-hey, hang on!” Quickly, Marisa removed her coat, gingerly supporting Seija and wrapping it around her. “Oi, Suika! I need your help!” She could hear the oni walking towards her. “Hey, don’t you dare dying on me too!” She felt a knot on her stomach. Had it been the Ripper attacking her? If so where was Yuuka? She gritted her teeth. As Seija walked up, her broken legs gave way and she gave out a pained yelp. "Damn bitch got a-" She erupted into another round of coughing, looking at Suika and Marisa, both who had chased her in an attempt to capture her. Marisa wrapped her arms around Seija from the back. “You’re not going anywhere, are you nuts?! Stop talking and stop making efforts!” She looked at Suika. “Let’s take her to Chireiden.” Suika nodded, smoke surrounded her as she turned bigger. “Ain’t it better to take her to Eientei?” “She’s bleeding out, we can’t risk it.” “Gotha!” The one carefully held Seija in her arms. “Stay put, amanojaku.” "But... what if..." Her voice retreated to a whisper, she relived the last moment before she was used as a cushion, her betrayal hurt Seija more than her wounds. Marisa frowned looking at the other girl’s expression. Maybe something had happened between her and Yuuka, she wasn’t sure. But it bothered her, that sad expression on Seija’s usually smirking face. “Hey, it’s okay. You’re not alone anymore.” "...Just take me back..." The magician looked confusedly at the girl being carried by Suika. “Take you back? Where?” "Somewhere. Just somewhere where I can recover." “We’re on it.” Marisa was having trouble keeping up with Suika but soon enough they were back to Chireiden. “We… we need help…” She managed to blurt out between breaths as the pets answered the door. “Seija is hurt…” "..." She looked around the bleak house, little did she know that she was going to come back after leaving at least a day ago. In her head, the same phrase repeated: "Sever." Marisa panted as she watched the pets tending to the amanojaku. It seemed that they had gotten more dexterous at mending wounds lately. Suika turned to the magician. “Ya have things to take care of, right? Go. I’ll stay here.” Clenching her hands, the magician turned to Seija. “You’re gonna be okay ze! Don’t worry!” She smiled. Suika was right, she had to leave. She looked at her squeezed hand and she had to bring out a tiny smile. "Thank you." “I promise I’ll come visit later ze!” She patted Seija’s hand. “Get better quick, yeah?” "I will. And Marisa? If you find Yuuka, kick her sorry arse!" ‘So it was her after all…’ Marisa gave her a smirk. “I will ze!” "Thank you..." She felt the first wave of tiredness finally hit her, letting out a gigantic yawn. Marisa nodded and turned away. ‘Whish me luck…’ and she left. Suika sat down, staring at Seija. “Fighting Yuuka, huh? Heh, ya sure have guts!” "She attacked me...." She coughed, catching her breath. "Ended with my legs being shattered..." “Yep, that sounds like her. Yuuka isn’t a good person, believing she is digging ya own grave.” Reaching for her gourd, she extended it to Seija offering a sip. “Ya can trust me on that, oni tell no lies.” She took a tiny sip, grimacing the taste and looked at the ceiling. "Where do you think she gained from that?" “I wonder…” Resting her back against the chair, the oni looked at the ceiling. “Yuuka lives in her own little world, some stuff she does prolly only makes sense in her head. But if I had to guess… Yuuka sees everyone she finds weak as fodder best dealt with before getting in her way.” "Ugh... May I have another sip, maybe your gourd will wash away pain." “Know yaself out!” The oni laughed. “The sake in my gourd is endless!” She went to grab the gourd again, taking a large swing of it, afterwards, she shook it to test what Suika said was true; it really was endless. “That aside, get some rest. Even if you’re a youkai, your wounds are pretty serious.” "I will, thanks for not being a dick, unlike Yuuka." Another hearty laugh. “Yeah, no problem!” She balanced herself on the chair. “And I’m letting ya in on a secret: No one is a bigger dick that Yuuka.” And she laughed again. "Yep..."
