Setting
Humans and Youkai seem to have been collapsing for no apparent reason. The victims are said to be found unconscious and drained out of their energy. Rumor has it that all victims were attacked during the night by an unknown assailant but it remains, at this point, unconfirmed. Is this nothing but mass hysteria or an Incident in the making? Currently CLOSED to new members. Feel free to PM the DM if you really want to join. This is an open to all RP. Join in and help making this awesome! Don't forget to read the rules and the prompt. The prompt adds information to the setting. PM me with the character you want and with any doubt you may have. This isn't an OC friendly RP, please choose canon characters. (Also, if you need me to make a prompt to introduce your character, do tell me. Otherwise, you can introduce them as you like.) In case I need to make a post as the Dungeon Master (using a not yet claimed character or the bad guy), the text will be colored in blue so that you can distinguish DM posts from Marisa's more easily. Please, read everyone's posts. I won't be doing summaries for anyone so if you need information on what has happened but are too lazy to read, that will be on you. Reserved characters:
Red - Main character Blue - Secondary characters Green - Characters that are reserved but player hasn't yet to post their introduction. (This means, if you want Yoshika, for instance, and post before the person who claimed her first, you will get Yoshika.) Purple - Characters that are out of commission and can't be claimed. (May or not be something temporary).
Marisa,Kasen,Koishi-> Dani Komachi, Reisen, Eirin -> Alzack13 Sanae, Yuyuko, Utsuho -> ZM Mokou, Sakuya, Remilia -> Akinaoki Alice, Satori -> Arya Daiyousei, Flandre, Ellen -> Shadie Yuuka, Orin, Elly -> Relick Seija -> Pikmin
Kurumi -> Zig (Inactive atm)
Keine -> Kay
Sunny Rumia
Hina Tenshi
Shou
Rules: -You can't control other people's characters without their permission. -If another person uses your character in their post, even with your permission, it obviously won't count as you posting. -Minimum of 100 words per post. -Each round has a one week duration. If you fail to update you will lose your turn and get skipped. If it happens the same on the next rotation and your character is relevant for the plot, you will lose control over your character until you return. If you know you will be MIA for a while, PM me so we can figure out a solution. -If someone fails to post for 3 consecutive rounds without a valid reason or warning, that person's characters will be up for claiming once again and the player may get kicked from the RP. The same penalty will be applied to those who keep abusing this system. In other words, if you keep posting each three rounds consistently, your character will be up for claiming and you might get kicked from the RP. -In the event you need certain characters to interact with yours but they have no roleplayer, you can write their dialogues for that scene or ask the DM/any other player for help. -If you see that it's important for a certain character to tag along yours, you can control her as a secondary character. (That means, control her actions and even have her accompany you). -You can only have two secondary characters. -If someone pops-up and is interested in roleplaying someone's secondary character, they will automatically take over from there. -You can change your main character and secondary characters whenever you want but you are required to warn the DM and leave them in a place where possible interested players can take over - leave your character doing something the Human Village, etc. aka don't kill them off just because you don't want to RP as them anymore unless you have an interesting plan for that, in that case, talk with the DM before you do it. You can also make one of your secondary your main and vice-versa. An update reminder will be sent three days before the end of the deadline to everyone. Gensokyo MapUse this map to guide your characters' steps. (There are some unmarked and missing locations, however.) Prompt
It was winter in Gensokyo, a calm, yet cold wind blew through the night sky sending a chill to all the Youkai brave enough to still be out in the open. Most, inhabitants, however, were sound asleep, the absence of the cicadas that were such a noticeable presence during the warmer seasons and the coldness in the air making sleep even more compelling.
Marisa Kirisame was no exception, the blonde girl laid comfortably under her covers, her chest moving up and down in her sleep while a single candle burned hazardously on top of a manuscript covered nightstand, a testament to the girl’s apparent lack of self-preservation. Everything was right with the world, or so it seemed.
A hiss… something was hissing. Her mind noted absent-mindedly. Still more asleep than awake, she concluded it was probably the wind blowing through the many creaks that riddled the house. But the hisses continued, getting closer and closer until they were no longer just hisses but murmurs. And even in her stupor she could hear something very clearly, it was so close she could swear someone, or something, was whispering in her ear:
“---why did they take them away?”
Marisa’s eyes flashed open, her mind racing to catch up with what was happening but she could no longer move, something was firmly clenching her arms against the mattress preventing her from striking back. Her head quickly whipped to the side, trying to understand what was keeping her in place, while her mouth opened in protest only to be silenced. Clenching her arms were a pair of skeleton hands, the white, bony fingers burying into her skin with the sheer force they were exerting. Though, that wasn’t the reason why she had fallen silent, something was constricting her neck.
“Agh!”
With effort, she managed to turn her face enough to look at her attacker but all she could see was a pair of disembodied spectral arms glowing in a green hue that dissolved into a mantle of darkness where she could see two bright lights peering down on her.
“You don’t need it, do you? …You will never amount to anything, you’re weak no matter how hard you try to improve… so it’s not important to you, is it?” it continued, voice oscillating and lagging as it spoke.
Her heart was pounding in her chest, so much so she thought it would burst, she was sure she would be trembling if she could move. As used to surprise attack as she was, she couldn’t say she was expecting one in her own home.
The room felt colder now, her erratic breathing was now materializing into a cloud of warm vapor. Those green orbs of light were still looking down on her and for some reason she couldn’t avert her gaze from them.
Marisa’s consciousness started to slip away, the murmurs and the sound of the wind seemed so far away now and her eyes urged her to go back to sleep. Then something screamed in her mind. No, she couldn’t die here! There were still a lot of experiments she wanted to do and a lot of books to be borrowed and above all, she still needed to beat Reimu up for a chance, no way in hell she would end like this!
She gritted her teeth in determination and started kicking and squirming with all her might.
“Let. me. go!” she managed through ragged breaths. And with a particularly strong kick she propped herself up, hitting her head squarely against her nightstand, “Ouch! Ghhh… you son of a…!”
She wrapped her hands around the top of her head hoping to sooth the pain, only realizing, as an afterthought, that she could move her limbs once again. Removing her hands from her head at the speed of a blazing comet and positioning them in an defensive stance, she looked at her surroundings which were… pretty much back to normal.
“What the…?” her eyes scanned her room for enemies but she couldn’t find any. There were neither disembodied skeleton hands, nor murmurs or hissing. The only sound she could hear was her ragged breath and her heart drumming in her ears. And a crackling sound.
“A crackling sound…” She looked to the ground where her candle had fallen and where a bunch of books were now acting as her personal fireplace. She sprung from her bed grabbing one of her covers and tapping the fire away in frenzy.
“No, no, no, no, no! Aww, crap…” She let herself fall on her rump, eyes fixated on the embers that were once books. “Patchouli is going to kill me…”
Her hands went to her face in defeat, feeling the cold beads of sweat still trailing down her face. One hand found its way to her neck, rubbing the soreness away. “Though… what on Gensokyo was that? Was it just a dream? It felt so real.”
Eyes focused on the morning rays seeping through her window she let her mind drift. “I will never amount to anything, huh…?” She shook her thoughts away and stood up, snorting, “Heh, yeah right!”
Nightmare or not, at least she had something interesting to tell Reimu today.

Sanae Kochiya stood outside of the Moriya Shrine, sweeping the dust and leaves away from the front area with a broom. The late afternoon sun situated itself in the middle of the sky, the blue and orange colors creating a spectacular scene. The green-haired shrine maiden looked up at the sky, a look of appreciation on her face. She closed her green eyes for a second before opening them, a small smile on her face.
"Wow, Gensokyo sure is lovely," she said to herself, continuing to sweep. "I'm glad I can reside in such a spectacular land~"
Once she finished, Sanae walked up the steps leading up to the shrine and propped the broom next to the doors. Stretching, she looked back up at the beautiful sky, amazed at how colorful it was. Wanting to remain outside a while longer to gaze upon it as well as contemplate, she smoothed out her skirt and sat down on the top step, resting her elbows on her legs and resting her hands on her cheeks. Sighing in content, she giggled. Things were absolutely wonderful.
"Sanaaaaaaaae!"
The shrine maiden's eyes widened as she looked around, hearing footsteps get louder from behind the wooden doors of the Moriya Shrine. Suddenly, they burst open, and Suwako Moriya jumped in front of her. "Ah, there you are. I've been looking for you," she spoke.
"Hmm? What is it, Suwako-sama?"
"Well, it's almost the evening, and...I want something special to eat tonight!" Suwako exclaimed, pouting. "Would you mind running down to the Human Village really fast and perhaps picking something up to eat?"
"Oh, I see..." Sanae replied, getting up slowly. "Alright, I'll see what they're providing on the market tonight. Then I'll make you and Kanako-sama a really delicious dinner. How's that sound?"
"Yay~ Thank you, Sanae~" the frog goddess cheered, hugging her descendant. Hugging her back, Sanae smiled.
"I won't disappoint you, Suwako-sama~" she promised as the two pulled away. And with that, the miko took off to the skies heading to her destination.

Enter: Reisen Udongein Inaba, and her little shit companion Tewi.
"I'm telling you! Just take one!" Tewi shakes a clear bottle of red-brown pills in her right hand, with an eager upward look to Reisen.
"That sounds like a terrible idea." Reisen gives a sideways look at Tewi's outstretched hand. "The bottle says 'Cures Leprosy'. I'd prefer to keep my skin where it is, thank you".
Tewi frowns in dissapointment, shifting the bottle to her other hand. Then, after flashing her usual mischievous smile, she flicks the cap off the bottle and downs the contents.
"AH TE-" Reisen instinctively reaches out to Tewi in an effort to stop her, forgetting the basket of valuable medicine she had been precariously balancing on her arm. Deprived of it's previous resting place, the basket overturns and spills it's contents on the ground, followed by more than a few crashes of breaking glass. Reisen pauses in her action, slowly pulls her hand back, clenches and unclenches her fist, then smacks Tewi in the face starts to pick up what hadn't broken.
"You see" Tewi interjects, in the midst of a mysterious hissing noise coming from a partially cracked beaker, "If you had just done it, this would have never happened! Now your in for punishment from the boss!"
"Indeed." Reisen replies. with a touch of tiredness in her voice. "You're certainly 'lucky' those pills haven't hurt you. In any case, hurry up and help me clean up here. We still have to sell what we can in the Human Village." Tewi clicks her tongue thoughtfully, then grins and replies "Lucky, huh?"
The afternoon sun glinted off the lingering snow, currently only a thin layer of fluff. The reflected rays of light shone in every direction, glaring in the eyes of all who walked by, perhaps distracting from the darkness that lurked ahead. Two rabbits walked towards a village of humans, oblivious to the events about to unfold.

Marisa was still pondering about what had happened the previous night. What was that all about? After she had taken a good look in the mirror though, something on her neck made her think twice about the whole deal being merely a dream.
“No, wait… Maybe it was that one mushroom… But then again this looks like something else…” she unconsciously scratched her neck.
Shrugging off her thoughts and wrapping her scarf around her neck, she picked her trusty broom and flew off, breathing in the cool winter air. She was speeding off when she noticed smoke coming out of a certain house in the middle of the forest.
“Early as always, huh? Oh!”
Alice was magician and a research-freak, surely she had a clue of what had happened to her, or whatever it was that was now adorning her neck.
Landing surprisingly gracefully for the speed she was going, Marisa stared at the door. Normally, she would just barge in but remembering what had happened the day before, she wisely decided not to push her luck.
“Oi, Alice, are you there?”
Silence.
She sighed. “I already apologized! I didn’t mean to Master Spark your rooftop yesterday. My aim was a just a tiny bit off. It’s not like you aren’t being over-dramatic, you already had your dolls fix it! I mean… I promise I’ll never ask you to spar with me near your house ever again. Can you open the door?”
Her brows twitched slightly as no response came. She had no other choice, she had to use that. “Something weird happened to me last night and I need your help.” she hesitated for a moment before forcing the word out. “P…pleaaase?”

A rock shone slightly in the sun. The surface was unusually smooth, as if it had been sat on every day for a decade. The savoury scent of roast bird wafted into the surroundings. It came from a yakitori stand a few meters away, run by Fujiwara no Mokou; the immortal who had rested here on this rock for over a decade. 'Today feels different'. Mokou walks closer to her yakitori stand for shelter from the snow. 'Hmm... Maybe I should go beat up Kaguya today.' Mokou thought to herself, the days of an immortal is an endless search for things to pass time, 'Or maybe I should go find Keine. I should go get some food too, or Keine is going to start nagging me for not eating, being immortal isn't a good enough excuse apparently.' Just like that, Mokou sets off, hands in her pockets down the familiar bamboo forest trail to the human village. Others saw the bamboo forest as a creepy, uninhabitable place. Humans children told each other spooky stories about the "Forest of the Lost". It disappointed Mokou, that they didn't see the beauty of it. She had lived there for as long as that stone has been sat on. Where others can see darkness and danger, Mokou can smell the cool, crisp mountainous air and can feel the cool breeze slightly brush her cheeks as she walks down the trail. It is times like these where reflection is a natural thing to do. "What is an immortal's life like?" Is one of the questions Mokou gets painfully often from lost people she finds that also recovers enough to be inquisitive. After all it is not unusual for her, as the forest guide to die once or twice to protect the lost sheep. After this, however, the questions start (of course as long as the lost sheep isn't too traumatised): "Are you, immortal?" "Yes, I am invincible" "How di-" "Hourai Elixr" After Mokou's successful guess, the lost person would shift uncomfortably and ask: "what is-" "I'm content" After two successful guesses, the conversation would come to a halt, Mokou knows that knowing what people will say is the reason why the Satori are avoided. Mokou is unsurprised people would be fazed, Immortals are rare, even in Gensokyo. After all, Mokou spent 300 years in boredom after even Youkai can no longer entertain her. Now this doesn't mean Mokou is a pessimistic and anti-social person. Contrary to popular opinion, Mokou is an ordinary person. As ordinary a 1300 year old person can be, that is. Although she does not show it, she has all the wisdom that only comes with age as a person can have. 900 years, was the amount of time Mokou spent as an immortal creature "the victim of the greatest sin", a strange animal no one understood. As time passed Mokou learnt, she experienced all that a human can possibly experience. Or so she thought, until she wandered into Gensokyo. Or more importantly, she was lovingly reunited to her mortal enemy- now turned immortal. Mokou's reminiscence was halted, she peered curiously ahead, spotting two familiar rabbit eared, quarrelling figures further up the forest trail.

"Shang-hai".
As if a sunshine had come to rest on its lips in this very fine morning, on this very quiet terrace rooftop, with so cheerful a look that even the most carefree fairies could not hope to possess, to its master's sleepy face, Shanghai flashed the most radiant beam. Hanging lightly on the fences was its petite form, almost fading into the meadow of white blankets, ever so gently swaying in the wind.
"Good job, Shanghai".
Staggering a bit, rubbing her eyes a bit, trying to win against this sleepiness, with fingers that had long since touched flesh and skin, she reached out to it. Bedspread so cool to the touch, even the slight moisture lingering on it contained no sight of dirt. Ah, so gentle was this fragrance, so brief yet warm as if a life on its own, this tender scent that papers would never had, somehow tethered her back to reality.
And then a voice, so familiar she could never forget, despite telling herself to so often, finally reached her. Oh no, not that girl, not her again, as if the rooftop wasn't enough to end the endless streak of sadism towards her poor only dwelling. Marisa, go away. She kept mumbling that, hiding behind sheets of laundry.
Seconds passed and nothing seemed to change. After all... only mere seconds had passed.
"Something weird", she heard. "Pleaaase".
Weird. Wasn't everything able to go weird in Marisa's presence? But how weird is that, she had to wonder. Weirder than scarlet mists, weirder than all other stuff they had experienced together. Something that could go weird, enough to force Marisa to use such tone while asking her for help. Let's see what could really go weird, or at least, at the very least, put a stop to this megaphone in such a fine morning.
Leaning over the fence on her rooftop, enough for her to take a look of her friend clearly, she quietly glanced at the scarf, while calling out with a barely audible voice: "If you want help, at least learn how to speak 'help' more gently!".

Sleeping. Actually, no sleeping, more like hibernation. But she woke up. Yukari Yakumo, Gap youkai who tends to the border of Gensokyo. Or, when she seems to want to do it. When she woke up, she was hungry, however. "Ugh... Ran?" She said in a sleepy voice. "I need food.." No reply. Of course. Her loyal shinigami must be out tending to the flowers, or something. With a sigh, she heaves herself up from the cough-thing and gets on her feet, and looks around for Ran. "Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan? Where did you go? I'm so hungryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy." Still no reply. Whelp. If food didn't come to her, then she would simply to have to go find food herself. She opened a hole in the air, the specialized, "Gap." "There we go.. Let's see if I can find something to eat, or that stupid shinigami.. I swear sometimes.." She walks in. - At the same time, Hakurei's maiden, Reimu Hakurei was staring at the shrine. Mostly bored. She looked at the sky and sighed. "Man, it gets so boring around here..." Her stomach growls. "And with no food too... ugh. I suppose I better buy some more raitons... Gah.." She got up and slowly walked to the human village. She didn't want to fly this time.

“Oh!” she gave a few steps back to look at the balcony above her. “There you are! Sheesh, I thought you were going to stay mad at me for the next century.”
She sat on her broom and slowly floated to the balcony, casually jumping onto it and to Alice’s side, her traditional grin returning to her face. “Morning ze!” Then she noticed Alice’s still sleepy face.
“Did I wake you up? I thought you were already up.” She looked at the smoke coming from her chimney and raised her brows. “Puppet masters really have it easy, huh.”
Marisa was trying her best to sound like she was completely fine but she was worried. This had nothing to do with the usual danmaku fights, where you could settle things with minimal risk of getting seriously injured, whatever had happened the previous night was something completely different. The fact she couldn’t counter the attack, her energy slipping away… this was something that could potentially get someone killed. That was the conclusion she reached and it sent a literal shiver down her spine.
“Ghh, it’s cold today…” she hugged herself while rubbing her arms and looked pointedly at the sun, that, despite shining brightly and beautifully in the sky, wasn’t doing its job of keeping things warm.
Her hand wandered once again to her scarf, adjusting it closer to her neck. “Did you feel any kind of magical disturbance or weird energy last night?” she didn’t look at Alice when she asked the question but despite her efforts, her voice was telling enough to know she was being serious for once.

Descending down outside the Human Village, Sanae walked into the populous area. The crowded streets went in all kinds of directions, and the miko quietly made her way down the street, in pursuit of the marketplace that was in the center of the village.
As she walked, she looked around at the various buildings and activities that were up and running, such as the schoolhouse in which Keine taught at and Mystia selling food to humans with her cart. Looking back at the walkway in front of her, seeing that less people were crowding together, she hurried to the market, intent on fulfilling her task.
"Hmm, what should I prepare for Suwako-sama and Kanako-sama tonight..." she said to herself as she walked in the area, picking up two bags and beginning to ponder her choices. "Perhaps I could prepare a meat and fruit combination...yes, I think that'll be wonderful. Hehe~"
As Sanae began loading the food choices into her bags, she began to contemplate what she would do once she returned to the shrine. Hmm...probably continue reading her volumes of Gundam. She was currently halfway through them, and things were getting good.
A large smile appeared on her face. Indeed, that's what she'll do.

"... and that's why I think it's a good idea to dye Kaguya's hair red while she sleeps. Everyone wins!"
Tewi had spent the last 10 minutes of walking explaining an elaborate prank currently in the works. Reisen hadn't really been listening to it, just nodding her approval when it seemed appropriate. 'Of course, if she goes through with it' Reisen thought to herself, 'I'll surely be blamed'. Glancing at the mostly empty basket of medicine she had, now firmly, in her hand, she figured it wouldn't change the outcome of the day anyway.
"I just think it would be cool if her hair was on fire! or, at least, looked like it was!" Tewi proclaimed, crossing her arms at Reisen's general dismissal of her fun. "Well, there's a much easier way to do that", Reisen noted, and nodded her head twice in the direction behind them. "We've had quite the fiery tail for the length of time you've been rambling."
"What? Really?" Tewi interjected, seeming genuinely surprised. "How can you tell?"
Reisen sighed, as if she couldn't believe Tewi would ask such a question "Well, she's not exactly being quiet. We ARE rabbit youkai, you know. Our hearing is pretty damn good. If you had just quit talking for a moment and listened, you would have noticed a long time ago. Anyways, we shouldn't bother her, and I don't know why she's following us in the first place. If she wants to talk, let her come to us. You know how she is."
With this last comment, Reisen turned to give a stern look to Tewi, knowing she would want to do something. It would prove, however, that this look came far too late. Tewi was no longer by her side. Reisen spun around, squinted, trying to make out the annoying little nuisance's figure. Muttering under he breath, she started walking quickly in the direction of their follower, where she knew Tewi would probably be.
Meanwhile, Tewi was indeed up to no good. Perched in a tree above an oblivious, or perhaps uncaring, white-haired phoenix, she waited for her moment to pounce. Once the target was in the strike zone, she pounced, screaming as loud as she could. "BOO!"

“There you are! Sheesh, I thought you were going to stay mad at me for the next century.”
I intended to.
“Did I wake you up? I thought you were already up.”
You should be able to see that I don't plan to sleep here for about a millennium.
These thoughts that should have been voiced, faded into depth of morning. Alice tried to swallow her thoughts with a deep breath, yet winter's breeze streaming through her nose and throat served nothing. Attempting a step back only to feel her back against the fences, her feet slightly faltered. From her eyes, the look ever so nonchalant disappeared, as well as the shining golden reflection in the depth of her pupils.
And yet the shining, golden real person was still there in front of her, perhaps was still staring without failure, perhaps was worriedly playing with the precious broom- she could not tell anymore. Nothing came to her view... yet she had taken a glimpse of it. A glimpse of the blue sky had resided itself on Marisa's ever so energetic cheeks. Something that wasn't there before, had appeared in Marisa's dictionary.
Worry.
"I see. So this involves you after all."
An unusual source of strength flowed into her soul, straightened her back. Regained her usually dignified posture, as if she had drunk a fair deal of the air, her words fell fast through the atmosphere, flat and distant. This weakness, don't let it get to Marisa. Don't let it make her afraid.
"Assume we're thinking of the same thing, then."
And from then on, just like reciting from a book she had long since memorised, she started to form her speculations into words. A few times her tongues twisted while staring at Marisa's eyes, ah, euphemism was never her strong suit nor her interest. With voice as cold as ice she spoke her thoughts, thoughts concerning strange magical powers, flows disrupted and balance swayed.
"I would like to refrain from making assumptions, yet, behind this perhaps was a... strange kind of creature, with strong resemblances with ghosts or spirits. Something probably nobody had seen in this Gensokyo. Marisa, whatever you're scheming... Stay safe".
The air, again, fell into utmost silence. Straying from Marisa's eyes, her gaze pierced past the scarf. Gaze that perhaps a fragment of sky had resided within, perhaps truly held the strength and wisdom the sky had to offer, chilled the winter morning.

after a long time and procrastination
After walking to the village, Reimu was more tired than before, and her hunger continued. If only she got more money at the donation box, it wouldn't be like this, where she would be struggling for food.
She continued on, with the money she luckily had, and went to go eat something. "This should.. Be enough.. For an apple at the most.." She said to herself, as she had continued walking before tripping and falling before the food cart.
Imma only do Reimu for now i have plan

COMMENCE AKI X ALZACK otp MEGAPOST
"Whoa!" Mokou looked up, toward the sound of yell. Giving a slight start, then a split second later realized who it was again
"Oh, it's just you, Tewi."
"ahaha, I totally got you!" Tewi proclaimed, hopping up and down excitedly. "Works every time!"
Mokou snapped "Hey, if I had not looked before I blasted, you would be a pile of ash right about now!"
Abruptly halting, Tewi cocked her head to one side, as if in sudden deep thought (Which, mind you, is not a very common look for a rabbit), then asked "Wait. Why are you this close to the human village? This isn't the normal day..."
Sighing, Mokou started to put out the flames that had instinctively come to life in her palms. The she realized "Normal Day? You mean you memorized my schedule..." She gave Tewi a weird look, "....WHY?"
"Well, I, uh, need to know when to collect your regular donations!" Quickly diverting the subject away from the current pressing topic, Tewi repeated her previous pondering. "So, yeah, why are you out this far?"
Mokou raises an eyebrow at the subject change. "This far? It is only halfway to the human village, you know. I'm going to go see Keine, also food. What are you out here for? Selling medicine?"
As Mokou replied, Reisen came bounding through the brush, with a frantic look on her face. Once she saw that Tewi and Mokou were merely talking, though, her countenance immediately relaxed. "Oh, thank god. I was afraid I would find a pair of burning bloomers. Knowing Tewi...."
Reisen broke off, and gave Tewi the hard stare that she had avoided earlier. She regained eye contact with Mokou and continued;
"To answer your question, yes, we're going in to town, and delivering medicine to the inhabitants by means of monetary exchange. You may come with us, if you'd like. Keep Tewi busy."
A dark look flitted across Mokou's face, for some reason 'Keeping Tewi busy' sounded like it would be a huge pain, she wonders if anything was to happen to Eirin how would Eientei stay in business, but saying so would probably elicit a huffed reply from the apprentice. "Alright, we're heading in the same direction anyway, since Keine would probably be at the residential area as well."
Reisen gave a small smile, and turned around, her long hair flicking as she spun.
"Alright, then. Shall we be going? I'd rather not be too late in setting up the stand."
With that, Reisen began walking back down the path, in the direction of the village. Tewi quickly hopped after her.
Mokou gave a small smile and quietly walked a small distance after the two rabbits.

If there was something Keine loved was to be a teacher, there was something satisfying about passing on knowledge to the children that were the future of Gensokyo and seeing their eyes sparkle with childish curiosity each time they found a topic interesting.
Today, however, things weren't as cheerful. The children were restless and barely paying any attention. Yes, something had happened in the Human Village and she couldn't help but blame herself for letting this happen.
She sighed to herself and looked pensive to the window while her students were finishing their assignments. Her eyes regained focus when she spotted the miko from the Moriya shrine.
"I'm going away for a minute, please continue your assignments and don't leave the classroom." - she rushed out of the classroom, berating herself for her lack of professionalism.
She caught up with the miko near the market
"Kochiya-san! I'm sorry to disturb you, but can you spare me a minute of your time?"
Sanae turned around, her green eyes lit with curiosity. "Ah, Keine-san~" she greeted. "What do you need me for?"
She looked at Sanae, her face grim. "Are you already aware of the incidents that took place here?"
"Incidents? Not that I'm aware of..." the shrine maiden answered, looking a tad guilty. She spent the vast majority of her time at the Moriya shrine and tending to her duties, only leaving to head down to the village on either Kanako or Suwako's requests. And only then it was only for a little while.
Keine noticed the look on Sanae's face and gave her a reassuring smile.
"Please don't feel bad. It just happened yesterday and if nothing else..." -her smile faltered.- "I should be the one feeling guilty about this. And there is the chance I might be overreacting a little but..." - she shook her head- "Can we talk somewhere else? I want to avoid making a fuss about this this soon and the walls have ears."
Sanae nodded, a serious look on her face. "Alright, tell me everything you know about this when we get there," she responded, determined on helping out as much as she could.
Keine lead her to her office and closed the door. "Please, have a sit."-she gestured to the chair in front of her desk. She then crossed her arms and looked to Sanae with a worried look in her face.
"Last night, five villagers collapsed for no apparent reason. I wasn't worried at first as it is common occurrence when the temperatures drop this low, but when I visited their homes I noticed they had a magical sigil on their necks. It was green and intricate and it disappeared shortly after my visit. What worries me is that the villagers have yet to wake up... They almost seem to be in a... comatose state."
Covering her mouth with her hands, Sanae's eyes widened in shock. "T-That's quite strange..." she said quietly, before she brought her hands down onto her lap and looked at Keine. "I want to investigate this more, though. It seems like something intriguing I read once in a sci-fi manga...where a town was being invaded by these alien-esque beings that left glowing green goblets on their victims. Mm...in fact, it sounds quite like it!"
Sanae crossed her arms, closing her eyes in thought. "Interesting, very interesting..." she mused.
"I was thinking that rather than aliens, this was probably the work of a magician." Keine looked at her with an expression that was a mix between anger and annoyance and added - "I hope this isn't yet another one of the Black-White's ideas of a joke, because if it is her doing I swear by the Three Sacred Treasures I won't hold back this time."
"Hmm, would Marisa-san really do a thing like this? It seems to be a little too extreme for even her to pull a prank like this..." the shrine maiden replied. Either way, she was starting to look forward to help figure out what the problem was.
Well, after she prepares dinner for her goddesses, of course.

Wall o'text day \o/.
The moment Alice mentioned ghosts, one name popped up in her mind. Yuyuko… Her mind started theorizing and trying to put the pieces together while still carefully listening to what doll maker was saying.
“Stay safe” Marisa’s brows arched slightly at those words.
She and Alice had known each other since they were kids, a couple of years after she had met Reimu, she reckoned, when the witch and the miko had pretty much invaded Makai and Shinki’s home. Friendships were made of first impressions, and Alice’s first impression of her was, understandably, not the best. But while Marisa promptly forgot about the ruckus she had caused, Alice had kept it vividly in her memories, and when she moved to Gensokyo she made a point to ignore the witch the best she could… not that it stopped Marisa from annoying her either way- she had to admit that it was sort of an hobby to make the magician lose her calm composure. But as fate would have it, Marisa had happened to be the puppeteer’s last resort, or so she claimed, and they went to solve the Imperishable Night Incident together. Marisa figured it was probably vexing for Alice to pair up with her back then, and she herself had joined in just because solving incidents is fun, but in the end they concluded they did make a good team. It was then, she thought, that they really started being friends and getting less on each other’s nerves. They had solved more incidents together since then and the doll maker had proven herself to be a valuable help. Alice’s cool demeanor sometimes made Marisa forget that she did care and that Marisa herself cared for her magician friend.
Marisa’s expression softened and she smiled a tiny but grateful smile. “Don’t worry ze, I don’t plan on doing anything yet. I just want to figure out what this thing is. I’ll be careful.” –her amber eyes looked at Alice, who had finished talking and was now fixated on her scarf… or rather, on what was under it. Marisa was expecting it already, there was no way that would get past her keen senses.
Her hands stopped on her scarf. “That thing attacked me when I was sleeping ze.” –she then explained what had happened in detail, from the skeleton hands, to the whispers, to the green orbs cloaked by darkness-
“…and then it clenched my neck. I felt like it was absorbing my energy--- no… rather than energy, that felt like…”- she trailed off. Life force. She shook her head. “Anyway, when I finally got it off me, it disappeared and…”
She gingerly took her scarf off. Her neck was quite visibly bruised, black spots contrasting with pale skin, but it was obvious that wasn’t what was worrying her- she pointed at the left side of her neck where a small but intricate green symbol was now engraved. It was clearly a magical sigil, but it seemed somewhat blurred and deformed as if it had been rushed.
“It left this. I’ve never seen this one before… But I guess that at least now we know that it knows magic.” –she gave a humorless laugh.

because i keep forgetting:
Youmu sighed for the 100th time. Sure, she loves her job but her master could be so infuriating sometimes. How was it even possible for someone to literally eat every bit of food in the house?
She was currently making her way back to Hakugyokurou, two bags full of groceries on each hand and an enormous one hanging from her back with even more food. Frankly, she looked ridiculous to say the least, and it had started attracting the passerby's attention which, in turn, made her even more frustrated. The half-ghost, half-human clenched her teeth, wishing she had a huge hat on her to cover her raising blush.
The swordmaster continued to trudge away, muttering to herself through the whole process. "Honestly, there is a limit to how gluttonous you can be, Yuyuko-sama! Is your stomach infinite, is that it? You wanted to eat the poor koi fish in the pond! Koi fish! They don't even taste good! And you even ate all the noodles! Why would you do that!? THEY WEREN'T EVEN COOKED!" - she exploded with a scream scaring a bunch of villagers that were passing by.
She panted as she regained her composure, sighing once again. Looking forward, she noticed a group of people gathered around, whispering.
"What happened, is she dead?" "I dunno, but I'm not touching her... she might be cursed or something." "Well, she looks cursed..."
Youmu curiously peered between the crowd and.
"Gah! Reimu-dono!" -she promptly dropped her bags and rushed to Reimu's side, carefully supporting the miko on her arms. - "Reimu-dono, hey! Hang in there, Reimu-dono!"
Reimu was quite unconscious. She was hungry, lost, and tired. She didn't want to die in the street of course.. So she started to stir. She heard something poke her side. Perhaps she was in the afterlife, perhaps this was just a dream, and she was still in bed and the donation box was full and she could eat.
"I... Don't want to get up." She murmured to herself, and blinked as the sunlight hit her eyes, and infront of her stood Youmu Konpaku, eyes full of concern.
"Huh..? Youmu? Am I truly dead?" She said to herself hazily.
Youmu sighed with relief. At least now Reimu was awake. Well, kind off.
"No, you're very much alive." - she frowned, still concerned- "What happened? Did you stumble and fall? Or..." -her eyes narrowed in anger-" Were you attacked by someone while you were shopping? If that is the case then I, Youmu Konpaku, will find the culprit and make him pay for such a dishonorable act---"
Her monologue was interrupted by a loud, roaring sound... that came from Reimu's stomach.
"Eh...? Wait... Does that mean...?" - her brow twitched as she came to the realization of what had happened to the Hakurei miko. She reached for one of the bags and grabbed a piece of beef jerky, dangling it in front of Reimu's face.
Reimu who was almost out, came up in a split second to bite the jerky in Youmu's hand and munch on it as she fell back to the ground.
"No I was attacked.. By my own hunger.." She said before looking at Youmu. "I was headed to get food then everything went black. Ooooooh.." She said to herself. "I probably would've been gone if you weren't here.."
In one side she had a vacuum cleaner of a glutton and the other a poor miko who didn't earn enough to assure her own subsistence. "Poor Reimu-san, life is so unfair..." "I'm sure someone such as you who fights youkai for a living wouldn't be that easily defeated." -she looked at the sun and then back at Reimu, extending her her hand - "I'm still on schedule so please come with me, I'll treat you to some udon."
She gestured with her head to a food cart. "I heard the udon from that seller is delicious."
Reimu got up slowly. At the first, it seemed like a bothersome but she got up at last. She looked at Youmu directly and stood up.
"You're right. If I fight youkai on a daily basis, then hunger shouldn't affect me. It's nothing." She said confidently. "Thank you, Youmu. I'll make sure to pay you back in the future.." But in her mind she said 'I don't have the money or the food to pay her back though..' She smiled at Youmu.
Youmu waved her hands in front of her. "Ah, you don't need to pay me back." -she smiled and turned around, leading the way - "You're the Hakurei miko, you keep the barrier intact and by extension Gensokyo. Consider this as a small token of my gratitude." -she raised two fingers indicating the seller she wanted two bowls and then sat down on the cart's chairs, facing the street. She smiled apologetically. "Besides, me and Yuyuko-sama gave you enough troubles already, so it's the least I could do to make up for it."
Reimu smiled and sat down in front the bowl and began to eat ferociously. "Yes I know," She said in-between gulps, "But I want to do something for you." 'Eh, doesn't matter.' She said to herself. 'At least I'm not hungry anymore.' She kept eating until the bowl was empty. She sighed and sat back into her chair.
Youmu started eating her own udon, smiling contently. She concluded she should enjoy some "me" time more often. "Ah, it's Sanae-dono. Hey, Sanae-dono!" -she waved at the green haired miko as she passed by the food cart.

By the time the entourage of forest-dwellers made it to the human village, the sun had already shifted a good ways toward the horizon. "That would have been a problem" thought Reisen, as she gave a downcast look at her less-than-full basket "If I had all the wares I set out with"
Mokou had been trailing behind a little ways, as was her fashion. Interestingly enough, she apparently provided ample entertainment to Tewi, who had left Reisen alone the rest of the walk to bug their fiery friend. From what Reisen bothered to listen to, though, the conversations were essentially: Tewi says something, Mokou grunts a half-answer, and Tewi laughs. Repeat process. "Oh well. As long as Tewi isn't breaking anything, and Mokou isn't breaking Tewi." No matter how entertaining the thought was.
After a quick jaunt through the outskirts of the quaint village, the party reached the Market Square, Although it was more of a large, disorganized circle than anything else. Reisen approached the stand with the signed marked in large, calligraphic letters "Eientei Medicine". It was a rather boring stand, but it's reputation precedes it.
"Any illness, injury, or affliction you can name, and we have the cure!" Reisen repeated the line dryly to herself. She would be more enthusiastic in practice, of course. To be entirely fair, it's not wrong or misleading. Anything short of death could be cured by medicine from Lady Yagokoro, although more serious things require either a rare special order, or the even rarer personal trip.
While Reisen started setting up the display, Tewi came bounding from her thankfully long chat with Mokou. It would seem the much-welcomed peace was at an end. "So, Tewi, you have a nice chat?" Reisen asked nicely, if not rather condescendingly.
"Well, she didn't talk much, but at least SHE seemed to enjoy the pranks I think of!" Tewi replied, with a huff of indignation. "Mhmm. I wonder why that is...." Reisen replied quite sarcastically. It would seem Mokou didn't mind the kind of warfare it would take to fight Kaguya these days. "Where did Mokou go off to, by the way?"
"Oh, I think she went to mee-..." Tewi suddenly stopped talking. Reisen, who had her back to Tewi as she talked, turned to see Tewi staring toward the center of the village, an arm outstretched, pointing toward something in the distance. "Uh, Reisen? I know we got here late, and all. But do we usually get that large of a crowd right off the bat?"
Curious at Tewi's sudden change in tone, Reisen slowly followed the pointed finger, to see what had captured her attention. "That....." Reisen slowly formed her thoughts into words, "That is definitely not good news. Tewi, go over there and see whats up. I'll get ready over here." "Roger!" Tewi replied, and quickly went off.
A normal day watching the medicine stand usually involved taking care of many common colds, minor fevers, and other trivial things. There was usually 1-2 special cases a day as well, but the traffic wasn't generally to heavy. Today, there seemed to be a distressed mob on it's way to the stand, upwards of 30 people at once. It would seem Tewi was not to be the disturber of the peace this time.
Something was very off indeed.

Rusty, but back \o/
The pride creeping through her chest as the prediction concerning Marisa's scarf turned correct did not linger on for long. Eyebrows leaving ripples on porcelain skin though frowned, was still saintly gentle compared to the pair of eyes. Streaming under her chest that had somehow turned womanly was breezes so strong, yet unable to calm sparks of curiosity glowed in her irises. A magical sigil gleamed emerald was stubbornly engraved on her friend's neck, as if laughing at her. The strange aura it emitted kept escaping her grasp, no matter how much force she poured in to comprehend.
Such a chaotic existence.
“It left this. I’ve never seen this one before… But I guess that at least now we know that it knows magic.”
The dry laugh, as if it held a power within its visible sadness, raised its hands to tether her back to reality. Slightly lifting her look off the sigil, she stared at her companion, only to have a hold to all this emotions that their relationship never observed. In their days they had seen better and worse, yet such an atmosphere like this never appeared, an atmosphere so tender, as if even a heavy breath could shatter it to thousands of pieces. Her face slightly tilted to a side revealing a chin line so well-fined, feigning disinterest, she raised her voice.
"What do you plan to do with it, Marisa?".
Unspoken words held great strength. Threats and dangers perhaps unbeknownst to most, the strange link between the collapsing people drained out of their energy and this problem, in silence, she could tell Marisa was all aware of it, she could tell the next words to be spoken and the next decision she would make. Shanghai blinked its eyes, giving her a yielding, yet surprised look.
Ah, Shanghai, I'm not just here to see through her...
"If you do plan to meet others for this, I'd suggest changing that scarf into something less suspicious. Bandages or the like. It's easier to believe Marisa got in a fight than Marisa got cold, Also more convenience".
I'm here to see her through.
Beneath the sky that glared at the pair, someone who had recluded herself from time and weather clearly felt it, the last drops of lingered warmth disappearing into the winter.

Keine watched as her students left the classroom, paying particular attention to a little girl who was quietly packing her things to return home. Her father was one of the people in the village that had collapsed and had yet to wake up. The news had spread between her classmates, but as with the adults, Keine was sure she had convinced them not to tell anyone else. Yes, mass panic had to be avoided, she couldn't even phantom how hard it would be to control the whole village. "Chiyo-chan." Keine called softly. The little girl raised her eyes to her teacher as a warm hand petted her head. "Don't look so sad, I'm sure your father will be back to his normal self soon enough. I promise I will do everything within my power to make it so." "Really?" the girl asked hesitantly. "Really." she smiled. "But now you must stay strong, for yourself and your mother. I'm sure she will feel more at easy if she sees your beautiful smile." "Are you sure?" "A 100%." The little girl smiled. "Thank you, Keine-sensei! I'll be strong!" she added, putting a determined hand on her chest. "That's what I wanted to hear! Be careful on your way home." Keine warned with a motherly smile. "See you tomorrow, sensei!" the girl waved as she exited the classroom. Yes. Keine had promised she would do anything to solve this problem, and it was as much of a promise to Chiyo as it was to herself. Keine sighed again. She should try and find some clues before things went south. Her face fell, but only for a second as she noticed who was standing at the classroom room door now. "Hello, Mokou!" a warm smile graced her lips. She could use a friendly face right about now. Seeing Keine's happy face, Mokou tried to smile back, though it turned out a little pained. "Hey Keine...What exactly, is going on?" Keine wasn't sure if Mokou had listened to her conversation with Chiyo or if she had guessed something was wrong from her expression, but the worried look on her faced made her feel like she had not only failed the village but Mokou too. She turned to her desk to collect her books, using the moment to hide her own expression from the white haired woman. "Something happened in the village. People started collapsing out of the blue and haven't come to yet, like they were in a coma. And I have no idea what caused it. Some guardian I am, don't you think?" she chuckled humourlessly. "You're a wonderful guardian, Keine, everyone thinks so too and it doesn't look like there was anything anyone could have done, see." Mokou tries to comfort Keine, youkai causing incidents have always been hard on her and she has to act tough for the sake of all the townspeople. But there was a pressing matter at hand, "Keine, try not to stress out too much, but..." said Mokou gently, "...but have a look outside". "Thank you, Mokou." Mokou always managed to cheer her up whenever she was feeling down. She was glad she had met her. "Outside?" she put her books down and walked to the window. "What is i---" Dozens of people were now gathered around the medicine shop, trying desperately to be the first ones in line. "W-what?! But... How did the whole town..." then she caught a glimpse of a bunch of papers on the ground. "Bunbunmaru Newspaper". "That Tengu, if I get my hands on her!!" The aura surrounding Keine was so dark that if there was something round and bright around the classroom she would surely turn into her hakutaku self. She promptly rushed outside.

Youmu looked at Sanae's face as she approached. The miko seemed lost in thought. She frowned lightly, her smile disappearing. "Sanae-san, is something the matter?"
Sanae snapped back into reality, shaking her head. Turning to Youmu, she bowed her head in apology. "O-Oh, hello Youmu-san. I'm just thinking about some things I've found out about," she told her.
"Things you found out? Judging by your current state I'm going to guess it's an Incident." She looked at a huge crowd that had formed far away. "And that that has something to do with said Incident."
The shrine maiden nodded in confirmation. "Indeed. From what I've heard from Keine-san, apparently residents of the Human Village have been falling unconscious in their homes, and they had some kind of green-colored phenomena around their necks before the items disappeared. The villagers have yet to wake up, unfortunately," she explained, fidgeting a little. She had to get back to the shrine soon, and couldn't afford to be out too much longer.
Youmu frowned again. "That sounds strange... What kind of person would attack people inside their homes? Such a cowardly act can't go unpunished!" The half-phantom said as she put the last bit of her Udon on her mouth.
The food cart man interjected. "If you ask me, that's the work of a ghost, that is. Cursin' everyone."
Youmu chocked on her food. "G-ghost?!" She managed through her coughs. "I mean... Aah~ it's getting late, isn't it? I-I should probably get back to Yuyuko-sama before she starves to death! Ahahah!" Putting her bowl down, she quickly grabbed her bags. "Have a good day, Reimu-san, Sanae-san." And she left, awfully fast for someone carrying that amount of bags.
Sanae held back a giggle and smiled gently as she watched Youmu leave. "Sorry we can't stay and chat for longer, I reeeeeaaaally need to get back to the shrine," she apologized under her breath. It was then that she noticed Reimu, who stood by quietly, looking to be lost in thought.
"O-Oh, Reimu-san! Sorry for not noticing you sooner!" she said, bowing her head in apology once more. She felt as if she was all over the place at the moment, due to the apparent ordeal going on in the village and thinking about what she'd make Suwako and Kanako tonight.
"Alright, I'll see you later, Reimu-san!" she exclaimed, levitating off the ground before taking off and heading back to the shrine. She hoped that Suwako wouldn't be in a fowl mood due to her being gone for a while.
