The morning sun slipped through the small gaps. Seija’s small campfire was out and she remained half asleep, one eye was open as she struggled to drift back into the realm of sleep. She finally lifted her head up, looking up at the sky, grey clouds shifted slowly across the sky. “CRAP!” Seija cried out as she realized that she went back to sleep, knowing that stopping for a day would be disastrous as she knew that people would be on her trail. Soft voices and the occasional snap of a twig already indicated what Seija had feared, people had arrived to capture her. “Again?” She looked back, expecting for people to be behind her, nothing. She grabbed a small sack, removing a tattered cloth, coloured brown and greatly stretched to act like a hood, to protect her face. “I think I saw her!” A gruff voice finally broke the silence of the forest, and before anyone knew it, two men appeared in the forest, Seija turned and she was cornered, two men blocking her only exit, her only navigable exit. She turned on her heels, making a mad dash towards that one exit, as she reached the men she lifted her arm and quickly brought it down, the two men became helpless as they were off the ground, upside down. All they could see was Seija making her mad dash to freedom. After the clearing, Seija stopped for a second, to catch her breath, the mad cursing is all she could hear, she just smirked. “Causing the misery of others is a brilliant feeling, no one understands it. Of course unless you're me!”
____________________________________________________________________________
By the time Seija crawled out of the forest, the sun had reached it’s peak. Most of the clouds had dispersed into nothingness. Across the open plain, there was only one sight to behold, a village that held many humans and masquerading youkais. The true home for Seija.

Writers block and stuff. It wont do for me to miss two weeks though, so here it is. Hopefully I can do better next time.
The silver maid bowed and left the library as Patchouli finished her explanation. Her footsteps echoed down the hallway. Maids bowed as Sakuya passed down a pearly white corridor, brightly lit with braziers of fire. At the end of the corridor, two taps on the double ashen doors and a young, yet haughty voice pierced the silence. “You may enter, Sakuya” With a light push the doors swung open smoothly. Across a pristine glass table adorning flowers of pink, yellow and white; there stood a polished rosewood throne embellished with gold. Seated upon the throne was the vampire lord of the scarlet devil mansion: Remilia Scarlet, her clothes pink with the dye of blood. Her crimson-red eyes as clear and alluring as a set of rubies, complementing her cerulean blue hair, slightly curled- All giving off the air of refined aristocracy. “Milady, it is about the incident” said Sakuya with a deep bow “Oh? Did you not tell me you were going to handle it, Sakuya?” responded Remilia, grinning a little at Sakuya’s expense. “My apologies, milady. I do carry information from Patchouli regarding the incident, however-” *BOOM* An explosion shook the throne room ceiling, dust sprinkled down upon the black velvet in artistic patterns. “FLANDRE!” roared Remilia, jumping up and shoving open the stained glass window. A burst of gale force wind whistled past Sakuya’s ear as Remilia rocketed off the window sill towards the mansion gate with the speed of a Tengu. “…Oh dear”

Before Yuuka reached the door, Satori spoke from behind her, “You’re not very good with words, Yuuka. They might hurt more if you expressed them more eloquently.” Yuuka remained facing away, “Don’t lecture me, satori.” “This is my palace, and while you’re here you can listen to me. Besides, I have something you might want to hear.” Yuuka gave no response, but it was clear to Satori that she was listening. “Above ground, there’s a creature roaming around leaving people in comas; or worse. This is a creature of extremely powerful magic, and as far as I know no adversary has even managed to scratch it. Wouldn’t it be a shame if they took the crown of strongest youkai from right under your nose?” Clenching her fist, Yuuka turned toward Satori and almost gave a witless retort, but decided against it. Instead, she just left the office, not willing to let Satori enrage her any more. The few words Satori said had resonated with Yuuka. A youkai more powerful than me? Bah! I’ll have to show them who’s boss…Yuuka left the palace, and began the journey back the way she came. Flying straight over the Former Capital, there were some faint shouts from below regarding paying for food. They aren’t chasing me. That’s lucky… for them.Once she returned to the dark caverns that had guided her way into the underground, she had calmed down about the idea that there was someone stronger than her. And she had another thought: If this creature is so strong… and so determined on hurting people… perhaps I can learn from them. Maybe even make them my underling, now that would be fantastic! Another brilliant idea popped into her head. We could have killing races! First to a thousand! It’s rare to find someone to enjoy FUN games with. Let’s hope they’re not a disappointment, for their sake!Brimming with excitement, and confidence, Yuuka took her first breath of fresh air outside the underground. She now had what she wanted when she left for the underground palace, something out of the ordinary, interesting and hopefully fun.

" [Kreis of Lost Promise]!" the green-haired fairy declared her spellcard, and a big spiral of red danmaku bullets was fired towards the young vampire. The latter grazed through the bullets with no problem. "Aw, come on~... If you can't do better than that, this monster is going to eat you whole~" the young vampire giggled, as she flew in Dai's direction, raising her Lævateinn. "I'm sure Cirno didn't mean what she said! Please, calm down!" the fairy barely dodged the fire whip, and looked down as the night was illuminated by the flames left over by the scarlet sister's weapon. Dai gulped. " If I get hit by that I'm done for... Isn't there any way to make her stop...?" "'Didn't mean it?' Oh come on." Flandre lowered her weapon. "It's not like she would be the first one to call me that. I mean. Everyone thinks that I'm a monster. Even my grandfather thought so. All because of these unnatural wings~" the blonde vampire raised her head, her scarlet eyes shining with rage... and with tears. "And besides... If I wasn't a monster, why would big sis lock me down there for years? Maybe it's because she was afraid of me? ... Yeah. She is. Everyone is. Everyone is afraid of me, because I'm a monster." Silence. "So... May as well give everyone what they want to see, right? A mad, little monster. Secret Barrage [And Then There Will Be-" "Wait!" the green-haired fairy shouted. This made the vampire freeze, and stop declaring her spellcard. "What? Do you have any last wish before I tear you up?" "Uhm... So you've been locked up on the basement...? For years...?" Dai lowered her head. "You must've been lonely." "So what if I have been? It's not like anyone cared. Or cares. Or will care." the vampire lowered her head, and tears slowly dripped down her face. "Big sis hates me anyway... Everyone else too, they're all afraid of me..." The green-haired fairy raised her head, and slowly floated up to the vampire. "Hey, Dai! What are you going to...?!" the ice fairy shouted. Daiyousei opened her arms, and hugged Flandre with all her strength. The latter let out a gasp. "H-hey! What are you...?!" the vampire said, tears flowing from her eyes. The fairy let go of her, and backed away. "See? I'm not afraid of you. And I'm sure a lot of people don't, either." she smiled. "Honestly, you remind me of a fairy..." "You're lying... You think I'm a monster too..." Dai shook her head. "I don't. Not anymore, I mean. In fact..." the fairy got close to Flan once more. "I can be your friend if you want. ... You look like you need a shoulder to cry on, really. My name's Daiyousei, what's yours?" " My friend...? ... Flandre... Flandre Scarlet..." "Okay then, Flan. I'll be your friend, and I'll make sure you're not lonely anymore! Is that fine with you?" the vampire nodded slowly, and then she recieved another hug. " I guess those legends weren't really true. She's a kid, not a monster..." The green-haired fairy comforted the young scarlet sister, as the latter let her tears flow out. --- Marisa blasted out of the front gate, almost slamming against Meiling, and looked around, spotting Flandre with Dai and Cirno. “Flan-!” But her words died when she saw Dai hugging Flan. A smiled formed on her features. That green fairy sure was a box full of surprises. She should give her more credit. But she couldn’t appreciate the heart-warming scene for much longer. Behind her, a thunderous voice made itself heard. “FLANDRE!” “Ghee! The older sister!” Marisa zipped towards Flan and grabbed her wrist. "M-Marisa?! What's going on?!" the vampire yelled. “More talk later, we have to bail! Hang on ze!” Quickly, the witch connected her mini-hakkero to the back of her broom. “ Magic Sign [Stardust Reverie]!” And with those words her broom zipped forward with tremendous speed. Marisa didn’t know if Remilia was still on their tail, but she didn’t bother looking behind to check. The fairies looked confused at each other for about a minute. "Uhm... I guess we better follow them..." Dai said, as she took flight, Cirno following closely behind her.

“Potential!” Seija screamed as she merely skipped her way down the winding path that eventually led to a small wooden bridge, which led down to the village. She noted several people gathering on the bridge right in front of her. “Get out of here cheating trash!!” The human man growled as Seija tilted her neck to see the source of the hatred. It was a girl, she wore the exact same dress as Seija, save for the fact it had no red arrows, but red stripes dominated the bottom. “Damn poser…” Seija walked off, looking back for a second, picturing the girl to have been thrown in the river, the thought of that excited her greatly. The main street of the human village was always packed with faces, ignoring the hooded Seija. She slipped into a building, it was a packed tavern, crazed drunkards and men who could care less. She leaned on the edge of a table, near the entrance, her eyes darted between her and the table, she felt for the edge. “HEY FRIENDS, WE HAVE A SLEEPER HERE!” Seija screamed wildly as everyone stared at her, she jerked as the table flew forward, sending the table upwards smacking the man in the chin, her ability was put to use, everyone looked on in shock as then, she brought down the table. Beer went everywhere and then, Seija turned and ran like hell.

Collab with Pimin If this beast truly is as fearsome as she described, then someone in the human village must know something about them. Arriving at the outskirts, she decided the best place to start would be the town square, as it was likely to have the most people. As she entered the square, Yuuka noticed that people still remembered her from the numerous times she'd visited the village before; mainly due to the fact that they gave her suspicious looks, and stopped their conversations to gawk at the ‘legendary sadistic flower youkai’. Out of the building that hung on the edge of the town square, a crazed prankster ran wild. She had her dose of adrenaline from her recent trolling and was enjoying the aftermath just as much. Her neck tilted back, and she saw two drunkards pointing and cursing wildly at her. Yuuka, wandering somewhat aimlessly through the crowds, turned her attention towards the commotion at the tavern. I wonder what's going on here? Perhaps I should start looking for information with that girl.Seija stopped in the centre of the square, looking at the same men, barely standing up as they made their way towards her. "GET BACK HERE!” "YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR THAT!" The two spoke in near unison. Yuuka walked towards the drunkards, with a smile that was instantly recognisable. Even though they were drunk, the men knew that their next actions could mean life or death. "Are you two causing some trouble for this girl? Why don't you leave her alone, get back to your drink, and I'll deal with her." The men whimpered, and crawled back to the tavern. Yuuka span round, and stared quizzically at the cloaked girl. "So then, what exactly are you doing here? You know, it’s not considered good etiquette for a youkai to piss humans off in the village." "Oh, hello! Thanks for saving me!" Seija pulled her innocent voice; however, she was cursing under her breath, "Pissing off people is an art that no one understands...""I'm not here to save you, I'm here for information. Do you know anything about a creature that puts people into comas?" "Heard nothing of the sort!" Seija smiled greatly, once again muttering a witty remark, "Unless it's you and your voice...”Overhearing what Seija had said, Yuuka gave a slight grin, "Ah, with remarks like that, it is clear you don't know who I am. I wonder which flowers I should leave on your grave..." "If only you saw my actions during the hunt... OH WAIT, YOU WERE TOO SLOW!" Seija leaped backwards, expecting an instant reaction from Yuuka "How's being the slowpoke working for you?" "A hunt, huh? I'm glad I missed it, anybody wasting their time with a pathetically weak youkai like you must be deranged. Besides, I prefer tending to my garden than chasing people who want to be chased." "Pathetically weak? Thanks for the compliment!" Seija beamed, and then pulled down her hood, revealing her face to Yuuka. "I will help, in my own twisted way…” "Hmph. You're certainly going to be annoying. So how does it work, with you amanojaku? If I don't want you to come with me do I say that I want you to follow me?" "I'm not hearing a no, so I'm coming with you! You could use some of my witty humour, lighten up a little." Yuuka took a step forward, and waited for a second in suspense. She grabbed Seija by the neck and lifted her up into the air; giving her a twisted look. "I'm not interested in playing petty games, small youkai." She squeezed Seija's neck, just enough for it to be painful. "You spend your life getting kicks out of annoying people... I get my kicks out of squishing weaklings like you. Regardless of whether you take this as some sort of compliment or not, I'm a lot worse than a couple of drunkards if you get on my bad side." Seija gulped, for once, "P-petty games?" She hacked as she felt the pressure built in her neck "I... I... I.." She stopped, trying to think of some witty pun or joke, but nothing came to mind. "I'll help... Just let me go.." She grasped her neck trying to release Yuuka’s grip. Yuuka calmed down, having got the reaction she wanted, and dropped the girl. Seija breathed heavily and looked to the floor. How the hell did I become overpowered so easily, I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE PERSON WHO NEVER GOT CAUGHT! She said nothing as she gathered her thoughts. "Of course, to understand the person who causes an incident, don't you need one who caused one?" Realising Seija could be useful, if for nothing else than just an extra pair of eyes, Yuuka warmed to the suggestion, "I've caused a few myself, but the more the merrier, I guess. You're certainly persistent, I’ll give you that. However, even after all this commotion, I'm still no closer to finding any information about this creature." Seija smiled, "If you're no closer? Try asking someone who quickly gets this information?" "I fail to get your meaning, please, go on." Yuuka replied, somewhat absent mindedly. Seija cleared her throat and spoke again, "Well, how does news pass around here? "I'm not sure... I prefer to avoid other people when I can. They're too much of a bother to deal with. Is there a newspaper, or something?" "Yes, exactly! An incident like this would be passed in a newspaper correct?" She paused for a second. "And who writes newspapers here?” "I honestly have no idea, just spit it out or I will make good on my threat." "Fine..." She sighed, her fun being ruined. "The tengus!" "...Oh yes, I remember now, back during the flower incident. There was a speedy tengu that wanted to write a story about how I was the culprit. Flattering, but false. If there's a newspaper, then it should be delivered to the village soon, right?" "It should be! Those damned tengus spread about me being a nuisance and that's when things escalated..." "If it is being delivered, that is great. We can wait for it. Besides, while I’m here, I've got some flower shopping I want to do~" Seija felt like a child who had been dragged by their parents somewhere they didn’t want to be. "Flower shopping?”

Finally, Marisa could see the familiar forest she called her home. Nose diving, she darted through the thick trees and landed gracefully on the soil. Quietly, she looked up and observed the night sky, listening to any sounds that could indicate Remilia was near. A few minutes passed and the witch relaxed, letting out a sigh while her shoulder slumped. “Man, that was close ze.” The young scarlet sister shook her head, feeling dazed due to the high-speed flying. "Ugh... Marisa, just what was that about...?" The blonde witch put her hand on her hip. "Your sister ze." She took the mini-hakkero from her broom and shook it. "She was coming after you and she didn't sound too happy about it. Your fairy fun was way too loud, I bet even the Tengu heard that. Hmm... maybe I should get more fuel..." "My sister... Guess I did make too much noise... " Flan lowered her head. "I didn't even get to apologize to the fairies, for attacking them..." "Why did you attack them?" Then she immediatly added in a dead-pan tone. "The blue haired one said something stupid, didn't she?" "The blue haired one... Yeah... She called me a..." Flan stood in silence, tears coming out from her eyes once more. "She called me a monster..." Marisa's eyes softened up and she approached the young vampire. "Flan..." She wrapped her arms around her and held her close. "That's not true, at all ze. You're a perfectly normal girl." She said, a smile could be heard through her voice. "You came all the way out here, hiding in a box and facing your sister's wrath because you were worried about me. How are those actions of a monster?" "I know... But why would my sister lock--" Flan was quickly interrupted by a voice, calling the witch's name. "Marisa!" The green-haired fairy, accompanied by Cirno, arrived at their hiding place. They both seemed tired. "We.. finally caught up to you two. Why did you even need to fly so fast...? Something happened...?" "Oh, good job catching up to us ze." Marisa let go of Flan, petting her head while she did. "Didn't you see the scary vampire lady coming after us?" She put her hand on her chin. "Uuh... I'm not sure if I should feel relaxed about that or scared..." "Scary vampire lady...?" Dai tilted her head to a side. "Well... I did see someone breaking through a window, but we went right after you two... Dunno if she's been following us. On the other hand... Uh... Marisa...?" the great fairy lowered her head. "We've talked with that Byakuren woman, and told her about your sigil and... well..." "Byakuren? Hmm, that was a good idea." The blonde crossed her arms. "I wonder why I didn't think of her, she is a magician after all." Her eyes looked at Dai. She could tell the fairy was worried at the new she was going to tell her. "So?" "That sigil..." Dai took a deep breath before explaining. "That sigil is slowly draining your life energy... If we don't manage to take it out, you... you will end up dying..." Marisa closed her eyes, arms still crossed. If she was shocked at the revelation she sure didn't show it. "Hm, I see." She pondered for a few more seconds and calmly added. "That makes sense." "You know, you look awfully calm for someone who might die soon..." the ice fairy said. "Did you already know about this, black-white?" "The ripper uses the sigil to absorb life force, that much became clear when Reimu told me about the attacks in the village. I felt weak each time I used magic... Something like this isn't healthy, there's no way it would be ze." The blonde opened her eyes to look at them. "But... each time I'm near the ripper it burns. In other words, it's easier for me to locate it." Her face turned serious. "It's a matter of choosing what I think it's best. Finding the culprit faster or taking more time and risking the lives of more people." She smiled faintly. "I'm a magician, I already risk my life on a daily basis." That's what she kept saying to convince herself she wasn't scared. She truly was. But she knew the implications it would have if she faltered. "I... see..." Dai said. ‘She's never been this serious before...’“Anyway... Byakuren said you should go and meet her... That sigil was made with dark magic, and she said that it's kind of difficult to know how to remove it without seeing it for herself..." "Hm, I'll do that when we catch the culprit. Or when I feel I'm close to kicking it, I guess. Ahaha...." The witch then looked at Dai with a smile. "Thanks for warning me ze. And thank you." She tilted her head slightly, motioning at Flan. "You should do it as soon as possible... Specially if you plan on confronting the culprit head on... Which you probably do, anyway... " The scarlet sister nodded. "Uhm... You fairies..." Dai turned to look at the vampire. "I'm... sorry for attacking you... I'm really sorry..." Dai smiled. "It's all fine. We're friends now, aren't we? Besides, I do agree that Cirno was being very stupid on saying that to you." she turned to Marisa. "Do you have any plans right now?" Marisa nooded, ignoring Cirno's muttering. "Yeah, I'm going to find Alice. There's something I need to confirm with her about the sigil. I'm going to head home and grab some mushroom fuel then I'm off. And you guys?" Dai rubbed her chin. "Well, even if it's not spring yet... I was thinking of searching around and try to find Lily... She's one of the oldest fairies, so maybe she might know something..." Dai turned to Cirno. "Cirno, it's plain winter... Maybe you can try and find Letty? Maybe she has seen or heard something..." the ice fairy let out a sigh, but eventually nodded. Flan lowered her head. "I... I don't have any idea of where to look or who to ask..." "Hmm... I wonder who else can we ask... Someone knowledgeable would be helpful." And her golden eyes went wide as an idea popped in her head. "Ah, I know!" A smile formed on her face. "Guess it's time for us to bother her for a chance." She looked at Flan. "Can I count on you to get her?" Marisa raised a finger, a grin forming on her features. "A naggy and nosy hermit that lives in the Youkai Mountain."

The sound of silent tea cup half-empty knocking itself down to the tainted tablecloth, briefly resembled a quiet sigh, relieved yet worried. The one who had just left returned the room its former tranquility, the air that felt fresh to the breath, yet did not take away the chaos outside. Or perhaps, deep inside her heart.
Footsteps of the small one also walking past her, slender shoulders peeking over the soft outfit covering the body of a child, all of them, all of them, was so quiet, briskly moving past her, as if wishing to leave the air around her untouched.
"It's a good thing that one had left."
Her words trailed behind Alice's back as the door gently glid on the floor fitting perfectly into the lock, blocking off the screams outside that surely sounded like a newly erupted fight. The voice that passed her, the gaze that ignored her, and the eyes that closed off to the chaos outside, all spelt a wordless question, as if half waiting for her to give an answer, half being content with receiving none.
And for a reason unknown to the depth of her mind, in the tips of her fingers that started to lift themselves up from her lap, she found a new strength as refreshing as a breath of home.
"Heh, after such a long time, it seems like she took a change for the worse."
Mind reading the mind reader.
Footsteps again streaming past her, this time slightly louder, yet was now at a more comfortable speed. The fragrance of quiet, artificial lavender trailed behind as their shadows intertwined, all so quietly on the floor.
"She is indeed very powerful though. Yet, power and strength are sometimes not mutually inclusive".
The gaze of bright red droopy eye spiralled into the depth of hers, firmly raising another single question.
"What do you have, Miss Margatroid?"
As if out of instinct, instead of cringing, she found herself gently nod to the other one's words. Her chin that she finally lifted to meet the other one's piercing gaze as if pridefully greeting the whole world, the rosy color of her cheeks that the world above perhaps had pasted on, all of them, perhaps had already said the answer that one awaited.
There will be times when even strength and power could not be your guardian angel.
"Because it is enough for me to fight on..."
On the tip of her tongue there lay a gentle taste hidden behind a gentle scent, overflowing with sugary sweetness only to turn painfully bitter as it traveled inside her throat.
"...how you label it does not very much matter."
Sweet and bitter, pitch black and stark white, a hopelessly lonely situation.
The sound of the other cup of tea gently set on its plate was perhaps drowned deeply in the sound of their thoughts and emotions, no longer able to convey by words. The gaze of the other one that had drifted away from hers, perhaps wasn't surprised, or perhaps was satisfied. And gently closing was that same pair of eyes, one housed a piece of the night sky.
"Well then, Miss Margatroid,"
Behind her vision covered with messed strands of hair shining in gold, she could certainly sense that, for the once, and perhaps only time, the nonexistent drop of sunlight in this world graced both the corners of their lips, altogether, at once, as if gracing them a quiet blessing for the future that neither of them may see ahead.
"Here you are"
On her lap was her most faithful companion sitting quietly, embracing in its arms the her that itself loved.
"at long last."
The words melted into the back of their past days...
It's as if she had not seen the sun for centuries after centuries. Such blinding light that gushed over her like a small typhoon of countless tiny pieces of the warm future, gently pushed her forwards.
Quietly again did the grand door slide on the ground, closing off the entrance to the so-called Chireiden of the hated. Such was the primitiveness she barely knew of, the gentleness she barely heard of, and the people she barely knew about.
The footsteps of her, that cheerful child, skipping while holding tight the wheelbarrow, streaming past her across the long long bridge separating their worlds, trailed off into the vast surrounding. Her beam that again bore a tiny sun on her lips, her braids that again waved at the wide world, were perhaps lighting up the whole long day.
"Miss Kaenbyou-- aren't you quite familiar with this world already? I'm surprised you are still quite eager to see this world."
Slightly tilting her head, yet still quietly gazing directly into her newly found companion, she gently asked, deeply basking in the light.
And the other one turned around, her grin again streamed like crimson, "Because your world has the beautiful things that I want to look for, corpses for examples~".
"...Before you said corpses I was thinking of something really deep and refreshingly romantic."
In the laugh of cat ears there lay a single, kind song...
"Well, if you wanna see the deep and refreshing thing then we should move faster. Whatever ruined mansion you spoke of won't suddenly appear in front of ya!"
"I have to doubt if that ruined mansion is deep or refreshing", her feet bounced on the final steps of the silent bridges, carrying her most precious doll on her shoulder, "though, miss Kaenbyou, to tell the truth. I do hope there is something at the Prismriver Estate, otherwise we'll be wasting time and your effort, so"
I'm glad you decided to come, without a single question.
"Well, didn't mistress say there should be some relations about your information and the dark arts of that mansion. I can look for Okuu and miss Koishi in the process as well, and either way I'm going to get a sea of corpses. So well, it's gonna be a waste of your effort, not mine~"
The smile of the child tainted with punching marks, was ever so honest, telling a story of an odd pair basked in the gentle sunlight, despite hidden behind the layers of the ever so notorious Misty Lake.
"Heh, I see, miss Kaenbyou. That's a good mindset".

and thus begins a specific subplot
-
Outside the Moriya Shrine, Suwako began to tie a purple ribbon with a small note attached to it around a frog's neck. "I can't help but worry about Sanae..." she thought as she tied the knot, picking up the frog.
"Alright little friend, you're gonna do me a huge favor, okay? My descendant is near the Hakurei Shrine right now, I assume. If not, then she's around that area. I want you to deliver the note around your neck to her, okay?"
The frog croaked in response, and Suwako smiled knowing that it understood her request.
"Good boy. Now go find Sanae!" Suwako declared as she let the frog jump out of her hands. The little amphibian began to hop away from the shrine at a rather fast-paced speed. The frog goddess watched it depart until it disappeared down the steps.
"Well, now all I do is wait," she sighed, stretching and turning around to go back inside the shrine. "Fufufu...I need a drink~"

Quick post to set up stuff for both me and Dani. Yay.
The group quickly made their way through the forest, reaching an old looking house after a bit of walking. It was a fairly big house for one person to live by herself, vines had claimed half of its rocky walls and the snow on the rooftop seemed to be putting too much of a pressure on it.
Marisa kicked the snow mound that had formed in front of the door and casually opened it. Inside, piles upon piles of junk were mixed with potentially valuable items without any semblance of organization whatsoever.
“Hmmm… So the map is…” She walked towards a smaller pile of stuff consisting of old tomes, notebooks and scrolls and started to dig away with a complete casual look on her face as if that was something anyone would normally do. “I’m pretty sure it’s… Ah-ha! Here it is!”
Carefully, she trudged her way to Flandre and gave her a small notebook. “The last page has her house current location, it’s pretty easy to spot, actually, but don’t tell her that.”
Dai looked around the house, seeming very confused. "How does she find anything here...?"
The young vampire took the notebook and nodded. "But... Uh.... How does that hermit look like...?"
"She has pink hair, two buns on her head, a bandage on her right arm and she has this really preachy look to her." Marisa put her hand on her hips, a smile on her face. "Kasen is pretty hard to miss, she's the only one who lives there and the place looks like paradise! It's warm and cozy even during the winter and it has animals wandering about the garden. It's really beautiful."
Flandre's face lightened up once Marisa started to praise the garden in question. "Okay then! I'll come back to you as soon as possible! Be careful out there, Marisa~!" then the vampire took off at a high speed, incredibly excited.
The fairies looked at the red blur that had passed by until she completely got out of their view. Dai turned around. "Well. We'll be off as well... We'll tell you if we find out something of relevance. And... Please try to avoid any fight with the culprit, should you encounter it." The green-haired fairy left the house as well.
"Good luck on your search for the creepy doll lady!" the ice fairy excitedly said, and left as well.

Super collab with Rintofen! He had to go so there is no division of the text. Enjoy the wall (pun intended).
Talking cheerfully, the pair made their way through the snow. Their voices was the only audible sound for a while, it seemed as if Winter has brought with it nothing but cold and silence. However, it didn’t take long until another pair of voices made themselves heard.
“Master, I’m telling you! It isn’t working!” “How is it not working? Especially at time like this… Aah…”
Trudging tiredly through the white mounds was a tall, blonde woman, her vibrant orange and red clothes contrasting with the ground. Next to her was her mouse eared companion donning a couple of weird metal sticks on the air.
Spotting the two figures just ahead, Rin wondered what they were worried about, and ran towards them leaving Alice slowly walking behind.
"Hey! What's up? It's awfully cold out here, you must have a good reason to be trudging along arguing!"
Immediately after speaking, she realised that she may have been a bit too aggressive in starting conversation with the pair.
“Oh.” The blonde and black haired one was the first to talk. “Are you not the kasha who sometimes wanders around the cemetery? Orin, wasn’t it?” She smiled. “I have not seen you for a while.” Beside her, the mouse sighed at how her master always managed to put pleasantries first in every situation.
"That's me!" Rin stretched out her arm and gave a thumbs up. "Hmm... let me try and remember your name... Shou! Yes, short and sweet, I like it." "Anyway, it's good to see another friendly face. That girl over there is interesting to talk to, but she's a bit gloomy." She slightly awkwardly chuckled. "Who's ya friend?"
Shou looked at the doll master as she caught up to them. “My name is Shou Toramaru, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance.” She prompted with a smile.
But before Alice could answer, the mouse youkai decided to speak up. “And I’m Nazrin. We’re looking for Marisa Kirisame, the black-white witch. Have you seen her?” Shou sighed at how Nazrin always seemed to be so direct with everything.
Finding a common goal, Rin grinned and replied enthusiastically, "Oh, good! So are we! Although, most likely for very different reasons. You don't happen to be looking for her because she's related to the creature going around, do you?"
“Well, it is somewhat related.” The tiger spoke with a tinge of concern on her voice. “The fairies passed by the temple and told Hijiri about their encounter with the creature. They mentioned Miss Kirisame’s sigil and she things it is endangering her life.”
“In short, that thing is feeding off of her soul. If we don’t find her and convince her to remove it, then who knows what will happen.” Nazrin added calmly.
“We thought we had… I was sure she would be in the village. But… the rods stopped working and we ended up here.” The grey youkai looked at the metal rods on her hand.
“Are you certain that---“
“Again, yes, master. I’m focusing on it as much as I can and it’s not working!”
Rin looked sceptically at the rods. "Those metal things help you find stuff? Seems pretty unreliable to me... perhaps we should look in other ways?"
“’Unreliable’? Excuse you! These dowsing rods have been created using enchanted orichalcum, it has been passed on through generations! Blessed by Bishamonten himself! How dare you--“
“Uh… Nazrin, calm down.” The tiger put her hands on her friend’s shoulder.
"But she called them unreliable!" She stretched her arms in disbelief, confused as to why Shou wasn't getting how outrageous this was.
Realising she had touched a nerve, Rin tried to calm the mouse, "Ah, uh, sorry, I didn't mean it like that, I mean, they aren't working at the moment."
Alice interjected, "Please forgive my friend, she doesn't think everything through before she speaks."
“No, it is quite alright! She’s just a bit tired and edgy.” Shou said as she patted the other’s shoulder.
“Please don’t treat me like a child.” The mouse dead panned.
Rin stopped panicking once noticing that the mouse clearly had an attitude, but became slightly annoyed at Alice's throwaway insult, even if it was true. "Can we at least keep moving, rather than stand here in the freezing cold? We might run into her while you try to get the rods working."
“S-Shou-chan!” A familiar voice called. Maybe it had been because they were too distracted but they had failed to see Byakuren Hijiri stumbling towards them. Her face was completely bruised and her arm was firmly wrapped around her chest, trying desperately to stop the blood torrenting down the wound.
The tiger’s expression changed completely, her face going completely white before she ran off towards the monk. The mouse, on the other hand, seemed to have frozen in place, her eyes going wide.
“Hijiri!” Shou supported her as the woman’s legs gave in, her knees connecting with the cold snow.
“Shou-chan… the… Village…” Hijiri rasped, trying to catch her breath.
Shou helped her lay down, one arm supporting the other’s back. “W-what happened? Wait, do not talk! We have to get medical assis—“
“No. Shou-chan…”
The tiger tilted her head, to listen clearly to what the monk was going to say. “Kind… and sweet Shou Toramaru…” The blonde raised her brows in confusion. “How naïve can you be?” Byakuren smirked, looking at the woman’s eyes.
It was sharp, painfully sharp, the dagger that buried itself on her chest. Amber, feline eyes widened up as she looked incomprehensibly at the person holding the blade. Blood trailed down her mouth. And for an agonizing minute, everything was silent.
“Hi…ji…ri…” Without another word, she toppled to the side.
And Byakuren stood up, calmly, as if the wounds no longer weighted her down. A blue, white-ish smoke graced the blade of the dagger.
“Wha…” Nazrin started, her brain finally catching up to what had just happened. “Ma… MASTER!!!”
It had all happened so fast that Rin had barely processed that the woman she was just having a conversation with had now been severely wounded. The thoughts rushed through her head, then suddenly her mind became clear and she lept toward the imposter monk, determined to drive away the threat before it hurt anyone else.
Alice, in the meantime, processed the events rationally and with a level head. This enemy posing as Byakuren had so easily fooled the most disciplined disciple of Bishamonten, it was likely no weak foe. She thought it was probably best to hold back and approach Shou once the imposter left. As Rin pounced in to attack, Alice shouted, "NO! STAY BACK!" The monk smiled as the kasha approached her, such carelessness. Without even trying to move, she formed a transparent green wall in front of her and slammed it against the cat. Making an upward movement with her index finger, the wall multiplying into five around the two girls, effectively boxing them up. A huge version of the sigil that had now become familiar to a lot of people appeared under them.
Big, featherless dark wings with little specks of light as if they enclosed the starry sky itself formed on Byakuren’s back as she seemed to transform – a hood fell over her head, dark robes replaced her traditional clothes and a cobalt colored, metallic tail appeared behind her and she took a deep breath with her arms stretched in a cross, as if she had been liberated from something.
“Aah… finally. I was right, the life force of an avatar is entirely different.” She turned at her enemies, a smirk on her lips. “Now, fight, struggle with all your might. You won’t get out of there.”
The blonde magician put her hands on the wall and she could feel the dark magic embedded in it, she looked at her feet, the emerald sigil shining lazily under them. Alice knew, the clock was ticking and they didn’t have much time left.

DM post. I won't be using the bold blue font for the rest of the text because of reasons.
Marisa watched as the fairies and Flandre left and returned inside, making her way towards her desk, where she kept her mushroom fuel vials. She grabbed them and her notepad. As much of a carefree person as she was, Marisa was a magician - since early in the day had she taken the habit to log everything and keep track of experiments and incidents. This wouldn’t be an exception. All things packed and hakkero replenished, she jumped to her broom and left.
She zipped through the skies, thanking the fact that Chireiden was close. It was then that her neck started burning. A frightening thought haunted her mind. Flying as fast as she could, she looked down, searching for Alice or anyone familiar.
She spotted them, Alice and Orin, inside a magic field - a type of magic she now knew all too well- and near the ripper stood Nazrin, hugging Shou's lifeless form.
Like a flash, she descended on the scene, landing in front of the box, stealing a worried glance, over her shoulder, of Alice, who seemed to be trying some spells to escape the box to no avail. She noticed the sigil, she looked forward and saw Nazrin crying, quietly urging her master to wake up.
Something Marisa couldn’t quite tell snapped inside her.
“It doesn’t matter how much I try to keep you away, you always seem to return. Do you want to die that badly?” The ripper asked amused, tail twitching about.
“You hurt them.” Marisa’s eyes showed nothing but hatred. “My friends.” My family. Her hand was wrapped around her broom, gripping it tightly, her teeth were clenched, there was an almost feral look to her. “Let them GO!”
A woman stood in front of a mirror, white hair falling in a cascade over her shoulders, wrinkled hands trembled softly as they caressed the mirror.
A crackle.
She could feel herself crying, the warm droplets dripping down her face. Warm. For all she knew that warm liquid could be blood. Blood from remorse, blood from the sins she had committed.
Pictured flashed through her mind but it didn’t shake her. Firmly she stood looking at the ripper. Her semblance, however, was completely different. That who stood there wasn’t the cheerful witch with the carefree appearance. That who stood there was straight in posture, firm in step, arms tensed up around her weapons. Someone else.
The ripper wasted no time, she lunged at the witch, swinging her scythe horizontally, Marisa stood there unmoving and at the last second, she hopped above it, eyes burning into the ripper’s own orbs, and kicked her foot down, effectively forcing the blade down on the snow. With a light metallic sound her shoes connected with the buried blade as she landed, pointing her hand at her enemy.
“Light Sign [Earth Light Ray].” A blue energy beam blasted its way from her palm, hitting the ripper’s arm and breaking it as she shielded her head with it.
Before she had time to fight back, the blonde was already preparing another spell card. “Magic Sign [Milky Way].”
A myriad of stars rained on the ripper, but her usual vibrant danmaku was anything but. Dull and dark.
Almost nonstop she kept calling out spell cards. Time and time again, dull stars flew against her enemy.
What were spell cards again? She couldn’t remember, but she knew she had written it in a book before. It wasn’t important, all she had to do was keep fighting.
That was it… just like a doll play. Many a time had she sat down and watched Alice control her dolls much to the enjoyment of the Village’s children. She too was a puppet. Not like Alice’s. She wasn’t bound by threads, she was a stringless marionette, swaying ever so faintly at the gentle breeze. It was not fate that had her swayed, she swayed by her own volition. She swayed because she allowed herself to sway.
Crackle.
She didn’t deserve it and yet, in her final moments she wished for one more chance. A chance to fight back, a chance to be stronger than what she had been. A chance to pay their kindness… the chance…
The fire hissed as it consumed wood and cloth, the elegant flames casting her shadow on the opposite wall.
Slowly, she looked at the window at her side, there was no moon in the sky, only stars. Such a lovely sky, such a lovely night. How fitting of her to die in a night like this.
“Tch…” The ripper pulled on the scythe, unburying it and spun it around forming a green wind whirl, blasting the stars away. “You intend to keep bothering me, I see. Then…”
She swung down her scythe, a green half-circle shoot out from it tearing the ground under it as it quickly surfed towards the witch.
Marisa ran out of the way, running was hard with all the snow but it seemed like the white mantle wasn’t slowing her down.
The ripper waited, could Marisa see under the shadow cast by the hood she would see a smirk. When the other got close to her, preparing another spell card, she seized the opportunity to swing the scythe once more. The witch, however, saw it coming and with a grunt she grabbed her broom with both hands and protected her left side, she would parry it and then counter with a Master Spark. Scythes weren’t made for combat to begin with and she knew it, curved blades had a hard time hitting the target. But the ripper too knew that. The scythe swung against the broom full strength but what hit the broom was no longer a scythe. The claymore cut through the magical broom with little resistance.
Closing her eyes, she could feel the warm embrace of the blazes gently approaching her, lulling her to sleep. Far, far away, she could hear voices screaming. 'I’m sorry' were the words she uttered in farewell.
Golden eyes went wide as the inevitable pain came. The heavy blade buried itself on the witch’s side, red sprayed onto the white snow. The pain, perhaps as sharp as the blade causing it, threatened to blind her mind and for a split second, she felt her consciousness sway, yet the maelstrom of emotions in her heart refused to let her eyes close.
“Gh…” Pupils trembling frantically, Marisa clammed her jaw shut the best she could but the pain was splitting, she couldn’t hold it. “AAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHh!!”
God, if only I had a chance to be the one protecting them... Maybe in a dream... maybe in another life…Please…
But even so, Marisa’s knees didn’t bend, trembling, yet fiercely, she held her ground. The pain, the blood, nothing mattered. She had to fight.
She gritted her teeth, eyes burning with hatred, cutting into the ripper. The figure removed the claymore from the witch’s with a tug and swung it over her shoulder, blood trailing down and pattering near her feet.
It was then that Marisa took a good look at the sword, wisps of smoke coming from the blade, that characteristic pummel. Her eyes went wide in realization. The ripper merely chuckled at her frantic expression.
Yes, she had to fight. Her heart demanded it and yet, the regret, the anguish that engulfed it weren't hers.
Quickly, she put a hand on the gashing wound, a bluish layer of ice started forming on top of it, the skin under it turning an eerie blue and purpleish color but there was no more blood gushing out.
With a mocking tone, the ripper continued. “Shall I make it come true?”
And before it could make a move, Marisa was already running towards the box encasing Orin and Alice. I won’t allow that to happen. You won’t take them away from me.
The ripper rushed off, a speed that surpassed Marisa’s, and heavily slashed down at Alice. It would cut the box, just like it had cut the magical broom and the magician too.
Marisa put herself on the blade’s path and extended her left hand, open palm turned towards it as a big bright yellow sigil formed in front of her, dotted with stars and astrological symbols, turning on themselves as if they were cogs.
The heavy sword clanked against it and bounced off, sending the ripper staggering back and Marisa stumbling down.
“Gh!” Seizing the moment, Marisa threw a vial towards the ripper, it exploded on contact and she could hear glass shattering through the snow dust it caused. That was her only chance. Hurriedly standing up again, she approached the box.
“GET DOWN!” She commanded as she pointed her mini-hakkero at the green walls.
A rainbow beam blasted from the mini furnace, bouncing from the way but leaving a tiny crack. Again, the witch shot her Master Spark, only for it to make an extra crack.
She was running out of time. Giving a step behind, she called.
“Magicanon [Final Spark]!!!” The beam flew against the upward corners of the box with clamor, blowing snow dust everywhere. It was with a loud noise, only surpassed by the sound of the beam that broke it, the wall exploded into smithereens.
As the pair stood up from their places, finally free from the wall and the sigil, Marisa came running, taking a peep above her shoulder in search for her enemy.
“Take Nazrin and Shou to Chireiden and run, I’ll buy you time!” She instructed between breaths. Both of them hesitated, Alice was staring at her with a look she couldn’t understand. Was it fear? Was it worry? That wasn’t important, what was important was the fact she wasn’t moving. Why wasn’t she moving?! “Alice, you’re the logical one, be logical! RUN. NOW!”

Waiting for the one called Yuuka. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seija leaned on the wall of the flower shop, waiting for Yuuka to deal with her daily flower shopping trip. “Yeah, flower shops, such a brilliant idea…” Seija smiled, her reverse way of thinking was becoming the death of her. She begun tapping a simple beat with her fingers, humming a familiar tune… “Lets gather around the campfire…” She begun to sing softly. “...And sing our campfire song…” “Our C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song.” She stopped for a second, looking around to make sure that no one was watching. “And if you don't think that we can sing it faster then you're wrong, but it'll help if you just sing along!” She stopped. And then she begun to sing louder. “C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song,'C-A-M-P-F-I-R-E S-O-N-G song, And if you don't think that we can sing it faster then you're wrong, but it'll help if you just sing along!” She had to breath, she couldn’t keep singing at her insane speed. She took a deep breath, ready to begin the onslaught of singing. “It'll help! It'll help! If you just sing along!” She finally stopped, panting heavily. “SHUT IT!” A human who was walking past who was unfortunate to hear her singing. Seija sighed and muttered: “No one understands true talent…”

Dani, wtf... I mean, just... wtf... That was GLORIOUS.
Anyway, background post ahoy.
Despite what most of Gensokyo's inhabitants think, fairies have a somewhat organized society. There're small clans of fairies all around Gensokyo, and each clan has its own set of rules for deciding its leader, but it mostly runs down to this: 1. When a new clan is formed, the strongest, smartest, or the fairy who makes the best tricks, is chosen as the leader. 2. To revocate an old leader, the aspirant fairy must challenge the leader in single combat. If either one of the two fairies is defeated, or recieves external help, that fairy is automatically the loser. Most fairy clans are very obsessed with their territories, and won't easily allow other clans to interfere in their matters. As far as a fairy's memory goes, there has only been one time in which several fairy clans teamed up against one enemy: It was the Great Fairy War, the event in which the leaders of the Forest Fairies; Star Sapphire, Luna Child and Sunny Milk; backed up with the help of some of the Lake Fairies and the Spring Fairies, fought against the leader of the Lake Fairies, a small ice fairy named Cirno. Despite its name, it was a fairly small war, since most of the fairy clans stayed behind and did not fought, despite the Three Fairies' demands. There are way too many different fairy clans in Gensokyo, and it's hard to keep track of all of them, due to constant segregation. However, there are three special clans in Gensokyo that deserve mention: First are the Poison Fairies. These fairies live in the Nameless Hill, and have adapted to the poison there. In fact, they're the closest type of fairies that one would classify as "youkai". However, this isn't what makes them notable. The leader of the Poison Fairies is not a fairy... but a youkai. Rumors say the youkai in question is someone with the power to control poison and is a sentinent doll... But seeing how fairies are harder to believe than a tengu's newspaper, the rumors kind of fall flat. What it is true, though, is that the Poison Fairies are one of the most isolated clans, and they dispise the thought of even getting near other clans. Second are the Higan Fairies. These are the fairies that crossed the Sanzu River out of curiosity, and now are trapped there, unable to escape, living forever as the servant of the Yama. Crossing the Sanzu River is probably what most fairies think of as "death", since once you cross the river, you are unable to go back. And finally, there's the Sky Fairies. The Sky Fairies are those who live near the Gate to the Netherworld, and are well known for being the only clan... composed only by banished fairies. Banished fairies are those who have commited a horrible crime (or at least, what was considered horrible by the fairies), and are explused from fairy society, condemmed to live alone for all eternity, never to be accepted by other clans. To be fair, the only "real" banished fairy amongst the Sky Fairies is their leader: the Herald of Spring, Lily White. Her crime? Trying to provoke a full-flegded territorial war with the Higan Fairies, in order to rescue her sister, who had crossed the Sanzu River. Her intents were revoked, and she was banished from the Spring Fairies clan for instigating a war. She left quietly, without refusing, only followed by a few loyal fairies. Despite her banishment, Lily White is still somewhat of a mother to all fairies, due to her status as the announcer of spring's arrival... and due to her being an ascended fairy. Ascended fairies are those fairies that have such a strong feeling for something in special, that they end up evolving, becoming embodiments of that something. Ascended fairies are also normally called "Sprites". And this Sprite... the embodiment of spring, rumored to be the strongest fairy around Gensokyo -even stronger than Cirno-, and perhaps the oldest one... Is the fairy Daiyousei is searching for, hoping to get answers to the many questions she has in her head. --- "NOW!" a voice resounded behind a bush, and, pretty much instantly, two fairies, one with blond hair and the other with black hair, jumped out from behind a bush, and began throwing snowballs at the small ice fairy, who turned around surprised once she heard the cry, only to be knocked down by the massive barrage of snowballs thrown by the two opposing fairies. The fairy of starlight laughed once she saw Cirno lying on the floor. "Aw, come on, Cirno! Surely an ice fairy would be able to dodge some snowballs!" she said, before getting hit by a snowball herself. The ice fairy slowly stood up, with another snowball on her hand. "Go away, both of you! I need to do something very important for Dai, and I don't have time to play games with you!" The ice fairy turned away. "Sigh... 'Dai' this, 'Dai' that... You have an obsession with Brainy, don't you?" Luna said, but the ice fairy pretended she didn't hear anything and continued walking away. "Just what's up with her...? Oh well... Let's go find someone else to mess with, Star. Maybe we can try and make the creepy doll lady fall in another trap?" the fairy of moonlight said, as she flew away, followed by the fairy of starlight. The ice fairy grumbled. " Just what's up with those two...?!" the ice fairy shook her head and went on. Find Letty, tell her what's going on, and ask her if she knows anything that might help. That's what Dai asked her to do, but... It was probably easier to steal the red-white's donation box and come back alive. Outside of winter, Letty was impossible to find, and on winter, she was near impossible to find. And then, Cirno spotted her. A woman with light purple hair, wearing a dark blue and white outfit, looking happily at a snowman that some kids, probably from the nearby human village, made. The ice fairy quickly flew in the woman's direction, crying out her name. --- The young scarlet sister happily flew through the Forest of Magic, thinking about how marvelous that garden Marisa mentioned could be. Upon reaching a crosshair, Flandre quickly stopped, and took out the map the magician gave her. " Let's see, now I should go in which way...?" and then, the vampire heard something. It sounded like... a 'meow'? The vampire put her map down for a second and looked ahead. Indeed, there was a small, perhaps a little fat, cat sitting there, meowing at her. The vampire put the map in her pocket, and kneeled down near the cat. "What's the matter? Did you get lost?" the cat meowed, before turning away and running into the forest. "Hey! Where are you going? Come back!" Flandre followed after the cat. After a few minutes of being chased, the cat reached a clearing in the forest, where a young, blonde girl was waiting. The cat meowed, and the girl turned around. "Ah! There you are, Sokrates! Where did you run off to?" the girl petted the cat. "You bad cat, you shouldn't run off from me..." Seconds later, the young vampire arrived at the clearing, and the blonde girl stared at her. "Who... Who are you...?" she said, looking curiously at Flandre's crystal wings.

Since Relick ain't here, time for Seija to get in trouble for no reason. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
“Oi! Shut it!” The lone human walked past Seija, glaring at her. “Well, didn’t you enjoy my singing? I think personally it was beautiful.” She smirked evilly before the human shook her head and began walking past. “Now where the hell is that slow coach? I bet she just got inside the freakin’ store and it’ll take her 10 years just to reach the counter.” Seija thought of a wicked fantasy where Yuuka moved at the speed of a snail, she quickly dismissed her thought. “Maybe I can wander around the village, can’t wait 10 years, I have to live after all.” She muttered to herself, noticing that the crowd had formed around the bar again. “Have you seen a amanojaku?” Crowds of people were forming around the entrance to bar, she looked briefly and saw the same hunters that tried to capture her. “Crap! CRAP!” She muttered her first word and then screamed her second. “There she is!” The first hunter pointed at the hooded Seija, sprinting towards her. Before the hunter grabbed her, she grabbed his outwards arm. “Oh, you gave up?” The hunter smiled greatly. “Come on then, take me away!” Seija played her innocent voice. “Alright, keep moving then!” Just as he moved, Seija kicked back, her sandal nearly coming off as she kicked him in the stomach, he quickly fell to the floor. “Never lower your guard against the brilliant Seija! You didn’t learn the last time!” Seija stood tall and proud. WHACK!
Seija fell to the floor as a crossbow slammed into her back and she hit the floor. “Damn you, that was cheap!” She cried out as the crossbow was pointed at her neck. “Bet you miss your cheating items girl?” He smirked evilly.

Before we know it, you're crying with me.
Before we know it, you're no longer here."---ice!"
A sound as clear as the summer wind, as forceful as a certain someone's hands bruised and scratched, flowed amidst the sky drenched in blood, yanking her off her reverie. "Alice!"
That someone's petite figure streaming down like a whirlwind, drowned in the blazing noises and dusts. A loud noise- a chain of further louder noises, as if the sky exploding from the other side. Spellcards' smokes, dull lights showering the other one's hair dampened with sweat and sorrow, porcelain white skin reaching out to her. In the heart that overflew with nostalgia, that feeling she tasted... How familiar it was, as if the moment she closed her eyes that scenery lived, to each of its details as vivid as day, to each of her fingertips tinkling with the sensation of flesh and blood, that scenery lived. And that voice, that familiar voice, echoed through all of her own world. Behind her eyelids, that scenery lived, her brightest dream in the form of a shining little sun, lived. “--gical! RUN. NOW!”
Even only until the world of reality collapsed on her. "Alice, pick them up and run away!'
That certain someone's voice glistened with pain and blood, lit the night sky up as if a living torch. Nightmares bursting incandescently, as if another sun blindingly reigning their world. Reigning over the warm corpse of someone she just met, the silent sobbing of someone clinging to her, so near, so near that one's shivers transcended into her. Immobilized in this world with the new sun, for the first time in a long, long time, she felt someone's tears, so warm, so salty, as if a sea of sorrow. The eyes of such child wet with fearful tears, looking up at her as if begging for a way out. Just a little numb. Even if her frilly skirt was stained with blood, even if the one she was leading by the hand kept weeping and weeping, even if someone writhing in agony weighed on her back, her footsteps tasted no faltering, all deep in this one night.
The sight of those innocent two, tattered and traumatized, one not even conscious to taste all of this pain, huddling together right in front of the stone gate, then quickly brought inside by some random pets, kind of broke someone's heart. The eyes of the young mistress were again fixed on her, the one that minutes ago just bade her farewell, as if inquiring, yet as if already having understood everything. Outside the walls that contained nothing but artificial light, her petite figure leaning back on the stone columns supporting her only home, her quiet gaze always a tad off to the left, that distinctive sharp chin, all of them, somehow felt so small, and yet so real. That broad, so broad space that contained these tiny, so tiny people. "I see your shining shadow has come, Miss Margatroid."
On the corner of her lips that arched up, there lay a gentle, kind smile... "I did not expect it to be this soon."
Those were her words that the mistress recited from her mind, or the thought of her own? The one that always stayed in a corner of her heart. Her--- "Shining, yet still, a shadow."
--beloved pain. "Miss Komeiji, now that the enemy is right at your doorstep, what will you do now?"
Her effort at redirecting the conversation, to uphold her strength and herself, was perhaps working. And yet, such a ruse it was, knowing at the other one will simply, simply see through it. The young mistress' lips turned into a firm line, her voice unfazed, like when they met for the first time. "I expect it to come here randomly, not for any specific target, especially us. Currently this place is well-defended and safe." "...Safe?". Her eyes narrowed as her nose churned, as if slightly upset. "As far as I know, it tends to target individuals and does not either destroy objects or mass massacre. Still," the last word perhaps lost all its weight, hanging mid-air, signaling coming words that wouldn't be comfortable to listen. "As for Miss Kirisame's safety, on the other hand... It's hard to guarantee."A part of hers wished to scream, to ask how cold that other one's heart could be, yet, the other part of hers, understood, for someone who ran away, even if it's per Marisa's own request, she was not much better. "You did the right thing, Miss Margatroid. If you're worried, then come and watch over her from here."
The soft voice that was directed at her, the brief consolation, and the slender back of the child as she walked ahead, leaving Alice to follow behind, quietened down the anxious vibe. Air rushed in through the wide, yet carefully hidden gap amidst the rocks, brought back a sweet sense akin to lavender. From the gap, a piece of night sky was visible, as clear as day- the shadow at huge size, and the witch drowned in darkness that kept trying and trying. No difference from past days, was there? Still such vigor, such courage, such dedication, as if-- there would be no future. "So this is the enemy you talked of, Miss Margatroid." "It's been endangering the whole world for a while now."
And that perhaps, was still an understatement. "Indeed. This does not look like anything we see everyday... or every month, year, century, at that. Yet, I'm rather surprised." "Surprised about?" "If the world of yours is filled with people like you, worrying, trying and fighting, why is she there, battling it alone?"
The silence that filled the air, as their eyes stared at the same direction, watching the battle taking place outside, was somewhat, slightly, jarring. Others-- the mistress was talking about the others. Yet, on the path of hers, she did not meet anyone, she did not see anyone. Only her shining shadow--- "I do know others are out there, investigating and fighting. Such thing I am certain of. Yet, indeed. I have not met with any of them." "Interesting... And I thought people your world are cold to otherworldlings such as us alone---"
For a moment, she had forgotten all about the girl next to her. Such a normal conversation, a normal feeling, a normal-- human--- "There are some people in the world that might be upset if you tell them they're normal."
Yet, such normality, was something some people wished for but never got. "Please do not get me wrong. Such power defines me, and everyone's fear defines me. If I am to be reborn-- I want to have this same power. I definitely- want it." Perhaps, I wonder, why we were born with these powers ourselves. "Miss Margatroid, considering you are heading to Prismriver Estate, are you aware of the story about the otherworldlings there?"
The fingers of the child, intertwined within each other as she leant back, further back, until such petite figure escaped from Alice's vision. "In that place there used to live a single one who had come from the other side of the barrier, someone whose love, and sadness, and everything, was all drowned deep within the flames. And from that ash... there are poltergeists that came into existence."
Mere "Poltergeists that perhaps held hopes in their souls as they cling to this world..."
sorrowful "and prayers for the one that was left behind."
existence. Have you never heard of this poem, Alice? Dear... Let me teach you.
In front of the ancient clock that stopped one hundred years ago
By prophecy, an actor shall ascend to that famed stage
Come on! The countdown begins
When the awaited ones arrived on the promised land
The sound of the bell which destroys the silence shall resound
Make no mistake! He is the one
A dear friend's blade glistened with blood!
A drop- will carve a way to 'his' land.

Marisa saw as Alice ran off with Nazrin and Shou, Orin had stood behind, what was that idiot thinking?
There wasn’t time to dwell on that, the ripper flew at her, sword pulled behind to gain momentum. Once again did she raise the protective sigil in front of her, once again did the sword rebound on it, but this time, two magical crescent blades formed as the blade connected against the magical shield, swerving past it and making their way back as if they were boomerangs, surfing in mid-air while aiming at the witch’s unprotected back. Marisa ducked in the nick of time and saw her hat crumble to slices. It had become apparent she was an easy target without her broom, she had to do something before her neck was the next thing getting sliced. The ripper had no intention of giving her time to dilly-dally, much like the witch had done before, she kept swinging her sword at her.
Marisa dodged the flurry of attacks, her mind was as attentive as it could be, but she could feel her body starting to lag behind, exhaustion slowly setting in like a parasite and she knew that would cost her.
The blade finally caught up with the witch, hitting her with the blunt side of the blade on her face with a sound that was as painful as it had looked.
She stumbled to the ground, holding the now bleeding side of her face as she spit a glob of blood to the ground. “Ugh…” She raised her eyes to the ripper as she approached and then realized something – the ripper wasn’t using any magic.
She stood up straight, staring at her opponent with the same eyes as she had started the battle. Yes, there was a reason why she wasn’t using any magic, that had just confirmed her theory.
“Aren’t you satisfied, yet? Do you like pain this much?” The cloaked figured asked, a tinge of frustration in her voice.
“Try… as much as you want…” The blonde said, snarling. “I will always stand up. Time and time again.”
“You will? After using all those Master Sparks to free your friends? That’s awfully conceited of you, don’t you thing? You’re just a measly human. Even as I speak your life is slipping away, your magic too is reaching a limit and you can’t fly.”
What can I do? I’m powerless… If only there was something, anything… A way for us to be together once again.
Indeed, Marisa too had refrained from using her magic, it seemed like the ripper too had noticed her status. The magician clenched her hands, her expression darkening at her enemy’s words. Perfect.
“Shall we end this?” The cloaked figure made a movement with her hand.
Four walls rose around her, the same that had encaged Alice and Orin before, the top was left open as if mocking her inability to fly.
But the walls and the ripper were wrong. It wasn’t befitting of a witch and she had forgotten the last time she had used this spell, but if there had been a time to use it, it had to be now. From her back came a pair of feathered wings, white as the snow under her feet and, with a power full flap she flew up to the sky.
The ripper had been wrong. It was true that her body had its limits, it was what separated her from the youkai, but her power, her power alone, she believed it to be limitless. And exactly because of that human body of hers she had decided she would give all she got that instant.
Without a moment to spare, between white feathers swaying calmly down to the ground like snowflakes, she thrust her hand at the ripper.
“Magic Bullet [Test Slave]!” Much like the ripper’s own box, a round magical force field encased her as red strings made of magical energy connected it to its owner. The witch tugged on the strings, effectively pulling the ripper up to her.
The ripper readied her sword, but it was too late to attack, she had a mini-hakkero pointed at her face.
“Love Sign [Master Spark…” Her enemy automatically formed a wall in front of her, it should endure the magician’s beam as it had done previously. – “like flashlight]!”
And from the mini-furnace came an innocuous, yet extremely bright light, only made brighter due to the glass wall in front of the ripper. “Ugh!” The creature shielded her face with her arm the best she could.
“Light Blast [Shoot the Moon]!” And on the ground a myriad of sigils formed, shooting a hail of colorful beams squarely against the ripper, and for that moment the sound of beams zipping through the air and glass shattering was deafening.
Yes, her body was reaching its limit, and she swayed, beads of cold sweat trailing down her features as she saw the ripper hitting the ground. She landed next, her wings dematerializing themselves as soon as she touched the ground. She could feel her knees bend under her weight and she knew there wasn’t a lot more fight in her. But her enemy, on the other hand, was starting to form back, pieces of broken glass joining together to form the hooded figure she had grown to hate.
“Your power isn’t limitless. I know that much.” Came in the witch’s strained voice. “So drag this, c’mon, do it!”
Raising to her feet, the creature stood up. “So that was your plan? To exhaust me?”
Marisa didn’t answer, she was trying to catch her breath and keep herself from passing out, but her content expression was an obvious answer.
“I would appreciate it if you stopped being a rock in my shoe.” Her usually calm and mocking had been replaced by anger. She quickly whipped her tail, and watched as an emerald orb of energy speed against Marisa, too fast for the witch to dodge.
Closing her eyes and instinctively putting her arm in front of her face, Marisa braced herself for the impact that she soon felt sending her skidding through the snow.
An eerie silence stood as no one moved, the ripper stood observing her fallen opponent.
Hugging her chest, the witch started hacking and coughing as the wound she had sealed with ice reopened. That was it, she had no more strength left. Slowly and painfully, she got to her knees, it was the closest she could get to standing, and looked defiantly at the enemy who was approaching her with muffled steps.
“Kill me if you want, but by everything I hold dear, I promise you I will come back and end you! I will drag hell itself with me if I have to! But I will make you suffer, bitch!” She spat in a gurgle.
A chuckle. The ripper was laughing at her. “I know.” She smiled as if she was expecting those words.
Such a calm voice, Marisa was at a loss. The ripper approached, standing inches from her, Marisa straightening herself, mini-hakkero pointed at her heart even if she knew it would hold no effect.
“I know you would.” She repeated, bumping into the witch’s mini-furnace as if prompting her to shoot.
“Love Sign…”
“But I won’t kill you.” She said, smiling and tilting her head towards Marisa. “After all…”
Marisa’s eyes went wide, her mouth opening in incredulity. She saw them, from inside the hood, a pair of golden eyes and a mess of blonde, wavy hair.
“It would be of bad taste for me to kill myself.”
Two more words, just two more words and she’d blast that creature point black. Her brain was screaming at her to do it, but her body wouldn’t move. The ripper inched back, straightening herself, sparing two seconds to observe Marisa and then turning away.
“You are me, but who am I?”
“So I’ll let you die on your own.” She said as she continued walking, slowly dematerializing into thin air. “Tick-tack, tick-tack, Marisa Kirisame.”
And the witch let herself slump to the ground, head turned to the sky that had now gained a lighter shade of blue. Silence invaded the air, she wasn’t sure if it was because the battle was over or if it was because she was no longer able to hear.
She would have laughed if she could, instead she chuckled quietly, a content grin in her face. “...Now… I know... who you are...”
She had gotten there in time, that was all that mattered to Marisa now. That nightmare had stayed a nightmare. That was enough for her, it was all she could ask for.
‘I’m glad you’re safe.' She felt her eyes close.
The frosty touch of a snowflake was all Marisa could feel as everything went dark.

Rin stood frozen, as Alice ran off with the two Myouren travellers, and Marisa took a stand against the creature that had just taken one of the traveller’s lives. Options that she could take flooded into her mind: escape with Alice? Run somewhere else alone? Help Marisa? Stand by and watch? Given time to think things through, Rin normally made a rational decision, although in this circumstance the pressing need for an action and the high level of danger left her standing in shock. - After a bright flash of danmaku, Rin came to her senses, and saw the creature standing above Marisa, who was now laying on the ground. It turned, and as it walked away it disappeared; Marisa’s head slumped to the ground. ‘Could she be dead?’ Rin thought excitedly. She ran over to where Marisa lay, and checked for a pulse. It was still there, but weak. Looking at her wounds, it was clear she would not last long sitting in the snow. “Hmm, that’s annoying. I was kinda hoping you’d already be dead!” She frowned with disappointment. “That Alice girl is probably going to want to see you back alive, but I haven’t got my cart with me. Dragging you across the snow would probably finish you off, I’ll just have to wait for her to come back.” She took Marisa’s scarf off of her, and began to wrap it around where the frozen wound had come open again. As she did this, she spoke absent-mindedly to the girl who clearly couldn’t hear her. “You know, I always like talking to people just before they die; they often have incredible wisdom to share as a moment of clarity is reached. Although, in this case, you’re not gonna talk to me, so instead I can share with you one of my stories.” Rin finished tying the makeshift bandage, and lay next to Marisa to keep her warm, and looked up at the sky. “I once met a man who had committed a crime and was due to be executed. Only 24 years old, so pretty young as far as humans go! His family was very poor, and he was struggling for food, so he came up with a plan to rob the rich family who lived nearby.” Rin shut her eyes, to help recollect. “I remember the room was cold, and the air stale, as he described to me his meticulous burglary plan. It was quite impressive, actually, if I wanted to steal a body from somewhere I’d come up with a plan like that myself too. Basically, the rich family would leave the house and go on a long walk every 7th day. He planned to use the small time window then to grab just what he needed and get out. Then, to avoid suspicion, he would slowly sell the items he acquired at a rate just quick enough to keep his own family alive. Of course, a plan only works if you have a backup plan in case it goes wrong, which he didn’t, he was simply too desperate. He had failed to take into account that the day he decided to enact his scheme; the father had fallen ill and remained in the house. It ended in a homicide, and he was caught practically red-handed by the family returning from their stroll.” She sat up, and looked pensively at Marisa, still lying unconscious, but just about hanging on. “The whole ordeal ended in tragedy for both families involved, even though just a small ounce of patience and a backup plan would have turned things around. Of course, I got a couple of bodies out of it, so not everybody lost out, but my point is…” “Marisa, do you have a backup plan?” (MMD Scene of the Week:)
(collab with Pikmin. YuukaXSeija the not OTP back in biznis!)"Dammit!" Seija looked up at the smiling hunter. Yuuka walked out of the flower store, content with the Gelsemium elegans she had just bought. They would come in useful, some time. She saw that Seija was in trouble, again, and pondered whether it was worth getting involved. On the one hand, she could be useful, on the other hand, she was probably a lot more trouble than Yuuka cared to deal with. "Oi Miss? She’s yours?" A man walked over to her, pointing at the downed Seija. "I guess she is. My pet does get into a bit of trouble every now and then. What's the issue this time?" "No idea, those two men ran after her after she tried to slip, that and she has a horrible singing voice..." The man shook his head at Seija. "Do you think she flipped a table?" "Well, I'm sure she's more than capable of dealing with a few humans. She is a youkai, after all." Yuuka turned, put up her parasol, and headed toward the area that a tengu had just landed and was giving out newspapers. "DAMN YOU!" Seija's voice screeched as her foot connected with the towering hunter; the hunter fell to the floor in an instant. She flicked her hand as the other human disobeyed gravity as he floated upside down. She jogged after Yuuka; however, as she passed the human, she slapped him in the face. "That's for calling me a bad singer!" Yuuka took one of the newspapers, and saw that the headline story was about the incident caused by this creature. Not surprising, considering the ruckus Satori said it had caused. It stated that it had been given the name 'The Ripper' and detailed how it had attacked several people, humans and youkai. An appeal from Eientei was written at the side asking people not to panic over their loved ones, and just below was written the last known location of the Ripper. "The geysers that lead to the underground," Yuuka said to Seija, who had just arrived next to her. "There isn't much here about it, though, which means it must have been a sighting literally as these rags went to print." "So we're going underground now?" Seija tilted her neck, trying to get a good look at the main page. "Ech, I hope not. I just came from the underground, and it smells truly awful." She gave the paper to Seija and pointed to the single sentence describing its last location. "However, it seems that it is above ground, not underground, that it was spotted last, therefore I don't think it will have gone far underground; or did at all. The quicker we leave this place and look for ourselves, the more likely we are to find it, though." "And what do we do if we find it?" Seija held the newspaper tightly, looking at every word. "Have you ever seen the 'ripper' in question?" She glared at Yuuka for some reason. Yuuka laughed, "Of course I haven't! Otherwise I wouldn't be scrounging for information in a tabloid!" She coughed. "If we find it, we fight it. Or at least, I will fight it. You can do what you like. You know, you don't have to come with me, I'm not forcing you." "I'm coming! I wasted my time trying to get us together, I'm not giving up now." Seija was strangely fired up now. "I guess the next job is... getting to its location before we miss our chance to fight it." Seija looked to the floor now, reaching for her hood and lifting it over her hair. "Okay, let's go then. But first, I'll do a small favour for you." Yuuka's face filled with an evil grin as she walked up to the hunters, who had managed to clamber back to their feet. She grabbed their heads, and swung them into each other, knocking them both out. Out of the bag of newly bought flowers, she took two small cuttings, and placed one into each of the mouths of the men. She stood up, and turned around. "Let's go, Seija. These men won't bother you anymore." Yuuka flew high, and in the direction of the geysers. "Why did you do that?" Seija quickly followed suit, she took to the sky but her loose sandal came off and it landed on the head of one of the knocked out hunter. "Just some amusement for myself, really! Nothing to worry about." "Well, it may be the last time you see amusement..." Seija muttered to herself.

Gengetsu( Introduction Post ~! It is a small written post for now as there isn't much to do at this time. )One of the most fearful demons during her own time; A moonlight angel seen as a misinterpretation; Simply seen as a cute devil who wanders around in her own hopeless masquerade; Tonight was the night that she, Gengetsu, would make her return to Gensokyo after seven years of being hidden in the darkness since her supposed seal within the Unnamed Dream World. It is surprising that Gengetsu is out in the open in Gensokyo. The interesting thing is, in order for her to have escaped, she and her sister Mugetsu would have had to break the entire seal that Yumeko and Shinki created, which is exactly what they did. Now in the open, she was far past many of the main areas of Gensokyo, on the outskirts of the Road of Liminality in the grasslands. The moon shined bright on this night, illuminating everything that was around the area Gengetsu was near. Her moonlight magic had drastically become stronger and with the moon out fully tonight, it gives her a boost in magical strength. She floated in the air, just above the grass, having a reaction of normalcy. It had been a while since Gengetsu saw a real full moon instead of the un-ending ones her and her sister would see when they flew pass the Never-Ending Chess Board of Forbidden Makai Prophecies. Her yellow eyes pierced the sky, staring endlessly into the moon, with no emotion. Her large, white wings flapped backward then forward, the red bow on hr hair blowing vigorously in the winds she created. The pink dress she wore fluttered on the bottom, blowing in the wind, as she had a hand on her burgundy vest that she wore over it. Something was different about tonight. All you could hear was the sounds of wild youkai throughout the night, yelling, fighting and doing what they normally do most, run free. No one would be out this far in Gensokyo tonight, unless they had a reason. Gengetsu did not need a reason to be where she wanted, because now she was free to travel in and out of her dream world with her sister. The palms of Gengetsu's hands glowed, silently absorbing magical energy due to the moon. She levitated so carelessly but gained power so efficiently. The night so far had caused no issues or provoked her in any way to do nothing out of the ordinary, so she simply floated, staring at the moon with her eyes.

Collab with ZM, and Aki (kinda)
Utsuho stretched. "All these bamboo trees as far as the eye can see..." she said aloud, looking around curiously as she followed Sanae. "Are we almost at that hospital, Sanae?"
The shrine maiden nodded, smiling back at Utsuho. "Yeah Okuu. In fact..." She pointed ahead at the small building of their destination, which was not too far in front of them. "It's right there!"
"Woohoo! Let's hurry over, Sanae!" Utsuho cheered, running past the green-haired girl as she made a beeline toward the front door. "O-Okuu, wait!" Sanae said as she ran after the hell raven. "We can't just barge in like this!"
Reisen opened the door just as Okuu was about to knock it down, effectively avoiding the need to replace the door. Again. Reisen barely had time to jump back from the charging hell-crow, who stumbled from not meeting the expected wooden resistance. Okuu’s right leg slammed into the plank floor, and being made of some fairly dense metals, met little to no opposition. If one thing is sure to happen in Gensokyo, it’s property damage.
By the time Reisen had made a little sense as to what had just happened, Okuu had one leg stuck in the floor, the green miko was running towards her, and Mokou was laughing her ass off, leaning against a wall. Reisen walked over to the struggling bird, crouched down, and asked.
“Hello, welcome to Eientei. How may I help you?” Utsuho felt dazed. "Ahhh...we're here to see the doc...~" she slurred, shaking her head and trying to register what happened.
Sanae ran up to Reisen and panted, looking over at Utsuho and sweatdropping. "Oh, for the love of..." she sighed, looking up at the Lunarian. Standing up straight, she dusted off her skirt to make herself look presentable. "Sorry about my friend's reckless behavior, Reisen-san," she apologized, bowing. "We have some business to attend to here with Yagokoro-san..."
Mokou started to help Okuu out of the floor as Reisen engaged Sanae in conversation.
“Ah, you want to speak with my Master, then. She’s very popular these days...” Reisen looked Sanae in the eyes, a little tired of all the attention her home had been getting lately. “I could probably answer any question you have to ask, as long as you promise to pay for the… collateral damage.”
Sanae's face paled and then she looked down, various feeling of embarrassment and wanting to cause harm to Utsuho coursing through her body. "I guess I'll get Kanako to handle this..." she said to herself. Looking back up, she grew serious. "I promise."
Reisen smirked, and quipped "Ah, thank you. It's interesting to have the Moriya Shrine in OUR debt, for a change. So, what did you want to ask?"
Meanwhile, Mokou did a final heave, pulling Okuu out of her hole. If one looked closely, you would be able to see the hole was bigger, and more than a little warmer.
Sanae gave Reisen a fake smile, annoyed at the rabbit's attitude. But she would be pleasant. She wasn't going to be talked down to like this. "You know about what's been going on, right? With the civilians of the Human village spontaneously being attacked?" Sanae explained to Reisen.
Inside Eientei, Utsuho beamed at Mokou. "Thanks for that!" she praised, holding Mokou's shoulders. "YOU must be the doc, right?"
Without missing a beat, Mokou replied to Okuu “Yep, that’s me. Doctor Yagookooru. Whaddya want?”
Utsuho smiled widely. "We need your wisdom, Miss! Please save Gensokyo~!"
Reisen dropped the flippant look and attitude, as the conversation turned toward a serious topic. “Yes, of course. We’ve been take care of the multitudes of patients who are afflicted. We’re currently investigating the cause and possible treatments. Are you, or is anyone you know, a victim of the beast?”
Sanae looked off to the side. "I-I was attacked, but I'm okay now..." she replied, beginning to feel uneasy. "I was investigating with Lady Kanako in the village earlier on, but I wasn't being careful enough and was attacked. Thankfully I was saved before it could've turned way worse..."
Without asking, or really much warning, Reisen grabbed Sanae’s chin with her thumb and index finger, and turned it to the side. Quickly analyzing her neck, she concluded “Ah, well, you have no mark. And you look in good enough health. That’s good. What’s your purpose here, then?”
Mokou grinned, and replied to Okuu “But of course! But I need your help. See those flowers out front? Go and pick a bunch for me! They’re very important for the medical procedures.”
Utsuho saluted Mokou. "Will do!" she declared, hurrying past Sanae and Reisen in pursuit of the flowers.
Sanae's face turned red a little at Reisen's touch, but she kept her composure. "Like I said," she continued. "We need to hear Yagokoro-san's thoughts on the matter. Is she available?"
Reisen frowned, and replied “Well, she is very busy, but if you insist….” Sighing, she continued “Fine, I’ll let you see her. But I’ll have to request you leave your friend outside. People are hurt enough as it is…”
Sanae nodded understandingly, looking over at Utsuho and seeing her investigate in which flowers to pick. She decided on leaving her be. "Alright. Is there anyone else present here?"
"If you mean is she busy, then yes. I'm not sure HOW busy, though. I suppose you'll find out, depending on her mood." Reisen gave her a mock-scared look, and then pointed down a hallway. "You should find her in one of the rooms down there. Look around, but don't go snooping or anything."
Sanae smiled and bowed. "Thanks Reisen-san," she replied, heading inside and beginning to make her way through the hallway. Reisen watched Sanae walk off, more than a little curious as to what exactly she would talk about with Eirin. “Oh well”, she thought to herself, turning back towards the front door. “I’m sure Master will fill me in later.”
Just outside, Mokou was sitting on the wooden stoop, apparently giving more orders to Utsuho. Mokou would point in a direction, say something about being a doctor, and the hell-crow would obediently rush in that direction. She was currently punching a tree, and winning. Reisen walked past Mokou, and tapped the clipboard.
“C’mon, Mokou, that’s enough playing with stupid people. We have a job to do.” Mokou, who was trying her best not to laugh, replied “Yeah, I’m starting to feel bad at this point. Let’s get going.”
Mokou jumped up, dusted off her pants, and set out after Reisen.
Utsuho turned around, a triumphant look on her face. "The tree is a threat no longer, doc!" she chirped. Her expression then changed into a confused one as she watched Reisen and Mokou leave the area, and she quickly made her way over to them. "Yo, doc," she said, moving to stand in their path. "Where are you and this rabbit going?"
Mokou facepalmed, and turned to confront Okuu. “We’re heading out to do some investigating. Also, uh, I’m not actually the doctor. I was messing with you.” Reisen watched the exchange with mute enjoyment.
Utsuho looked a little crushed. "Well, that was a rude joke..." she replied, feeling rather foolish. She perked up a little, however, hearing the two were going to go investigating. "Perhaps I can go with you, anyway! Sanae must be busy in there, so I want to go with you two for a while. I'll meet up with her later."
"It's alright, I think we can handle ourse-" Mokou started to object, but was cut off promptly by Reisen. "Actually, Utsuho, we'd love to have you along. And I'm sure Mokou would appreciate your company as well."
Reisen knew full well the kind of power this crow possessed. As Mokou had demonstrated earlier, all you need to do is point her right. Reisen then leaned in, and whispered in Okuu's ear. "And, I'm ACTUALLY a doctor. No phony."
Utsuho shot a dirty look at Mokou before she smiled at Reisen. "Okay! You're much nicer than that phony, anyway~" she replied. "If you need me to do something, just let me know!"
