Perhaps! Also you're right, Scarlet! Soku, for example, game Sanae a boost in popularity. Same with HM and Koishi. Not only that, but it elaborated their personalities in more depth, which character personalities is a massive part of Touhou's appeal. And since Mokou and Sukuna, two fan favorites, are due to appear in ULiL...those fans will be particularly happy. |

When you're the at the top there's only one place you can go.
If it wasn't KanColle, it would have been something else because Touhou can't be #1 forever. It can still be turned around, but I think its good that artists have other interests than just one series.
I don't know the quality of the art though, because I'm not really interested in sihp grils.

I've seen this Kancolle stuff on my google+ for awhile now. It's literally everywhere and I have no way to respond to it.
Also, when I read the title, I was half expecting for it to say: "Oh my god, new artist are coming and ruining 2HU"

And people are overreacting. Seriously, KanColle is a fad. Everyone is jumping into the bandwagon now but they'll soon forget about it. Touhou has a really well established fandom, it's the only series ever to have all those music mixes and fangames and whatnots. There is no way KanColle will outlive Touhou, for more than one reason. As soon as ULiL is released, people will return. Though yeah, KanColle tries to be a rip-off and I still find the whole "girls with the SOULS of WAR SHIPS" deal stupid. you can say this about anything though Your points are mostly around one thing, and clearly if you're gonna say ripoff, you have 0% of what you actually know about the series. |

I meant some designs and the character style overall, not the concept of the series. If Touhou's concept was about "girls with the soul of inanimate objects" I wouldn't like Touhou to begin with. Ah, and no, I can't say this about "anything". And I don't know 0% about the series, I know 1%. And that's enough already, I have no interest in knowing more about it because I find the concept ludicrous. |
