I 1cced IN Easy twice in a night. The night I got it. Both Eirin and Kaguya defeated.
Yeah, it's easy on Easy. I hear it steps it up on Normal, though.

But I guess IN is supposed to be a game where you'll have to memorize each level of difficulty.
That or its an example of fake difficulty.

IN's pretty easy on easy but it's normal mode I'd say is about PCB easy so far from what I've played.

I think there's many merits to starting games on higher difficulties (most series, I do!) - Touhou is quite a rough one to do so in, though. I've only skipped easy for EoSD and TD so far. I know what you mean. The first time I did IN normal, I breezed through the first three stages and then Marisa shrek'd every life out of me. -- On topic: IN Easy is a step down from the rest, yes. I prefer this over PCB easy, though, which seems to be harder than EoSD normal for me. |

IN is really generous with lives, bombs, and deathbombing, as well as having only mediocre patterns. If you're not playing for score, it's one of the easiest games. |

EoSD did happen to be my first ever shmup, so I just jumped into easy mode to see what it was like. Got the 1cc second try. Which is only getting to Sakuya in EoSD |
