This is a document listing and explaining the different types of holy bloods that exist within my setting. They will be named and explained, with their listed main element and which deity they serve under and which races have them.
Sun Blood: Sun Bloods are the descendants of Amaterasu who have the holy blood gene within them. Sunbloods are usually very kind people and very gentle, as is Amaterasu herself. There are exceptions to this rule, Yoshiro being one of them, his personality is usually warm and caring, but it has been noted that he can be cold way too often. Sunbloods are usually extremely good with the sword and have a strong sense of wanting to protect the people they care about. All sunbloods have two possible primary elements, those being Fire and Light. Whichever is not the primary, becomes the secondary. Sunbloods are known to be exclusively Kitsune in nature, though it is possible for a Kilf to be one.
War Blood: War bloods are descendants of either Frederick or Suzume, depending on if they are a Lupine or a Kitsune, respectively, though an unknown Karhu deity is also the ancestor of War Bloods. Depending on the nature of the ancestor, the war blood is either a dangerous berserker in combat or is a powerful soldier in their own right. War Bloods seek out battle and ever seek to grow stronger, but they are very respectful of other soldiers and will spare them outside of actual combat. Needless to say, most War Bloods end up becoming mercenaries. An interesting note is that a Lupine War Blood, because of Frederick's wife can end up becoming something called a War Monk, the only known one of these being Walthari Jaeger. 99% of War Bloods have Fire as their element, while 1% of them have Electricity.
Moon Blood: Moon Bloods are descendants of Amaterasu's unknown brother, as well as a few other deities out there. Most moonbloods are kind people, though they do seem very distant. However, this serenity also comes with a "New Moon" phase where sometimes they become very angry from little reason. However, the moon blood is a man who is ever curious and trying to learn something new. There are no known Moon Bloods, though the Kitsune, Kani, Kilves and Mofeta all have Moon Bloods within their ranks. All Moon Bloods have Water or Dark as their primary element, with the other being secondary.
Forge Blood: Forge Bloods are descendants of Mareike and other Lupine deities of the forge. Forge Bloods are workaholics, everything about them is work, work work. However, this attitude allows them to become some of the greatest weapon and armor smiths on Verbana. The most well known Forge Blood is Killian Jaeger, who is later considered in the New Generation to be the Ultimate Blacksmith. Only Forge Bloods can work with Ilma Metalli, which translates to Air Metal, as it normally just disintegrates before it melts. The mana from a Forge Blood allows it to melt and be forged. Forge Bloods are exclusively Lupines and all of them have Fire as their Primary Element and Earth as their secondary.
Death Blood: Death Bloods are descendants of Amaterasu's mother, Emiko among other deities of Death. All Death Bloods have the ability to see the spirits of recently dead people and communicate with them. Their entire job is to assist Emiko in rounding up those that have died to put them within the wheel of reincarnation. It is a job that they take seriously and will rarely deviate from this. As their job usually keeps them busy, they don't really seem to be much for small talk, but in reality, most Death Bloods are actually quite friendly and outgoing people. There are no named death Bloods in the setting, but they exist within the Kitsune, Kilvish, Drow and Neko Peoples. All Death Bloods have Dark as their element.
Justice Blood: Justice Bloods are all descendants of the deity Sinnikka. They believe strongly in fairness and justice for all individuals and will treat their enemies with the same respect and rights as their friends. However, a lot of Justice Bloods are quite too serious about the whole thing, forgetting that once in a while, they need to cut loose and relax a bit. ALL Justice Bloods wind up joining the Paladinic Order of the Kani, which is led by Sinnikka. Justice Bloods are exclusively a Kani holy blood type and their Element Varies. They are the only holy blood without a set element, rather they have a set EXCEPTION. They cannot have the Shadow Element. A well known Justice blood was Kauko Aaltonen. Also though Katriina Laureus is the daughter of Sinnikka, she was a demi deity. Mariita, despite being the other daughter, is a full deity and thus neither of them are holy bloods.
Sea Blood: Sea Bloods are the descendants of deities of the ocean, which are usually limited to ocean dwelling races. Sea Bloods are closely linked with the oceans and seas of their world and are capable of communicating closely with the sea life within them, though not through telekinesis, it's more of a magical sort of connection. Sea Bloods are usually the protectors of their oceans and will fight against any sort of invader that seeks to do them harm, whether it be from another ocean or on land. Their behavior aside from this isn't well documented as very few have been encountered. Sea Bloods are exclusively limited to underwater creatures such as Mermaids and such, and they are limited exclusively to the Water Element.
Life Blood: A life blood is the descendant of a deity of life, the most notable one being Fumio of the Kitsune. Life bloods are generally the opposite of death bloods, their entire job is to make sure that people live. However, that being said, a lot of life bloods sometimes take their job a bit too seriously and get into conflict with Death Bloods. Which can lead to bloodshed. Life Bloods are the only holy blood type that is confirmed to be able to use any form of healing magic as well. There are no named Life Bloods in the setting, but they exist within the Kitsune, Fairy, Neko, Widder, Paard, Centaur, Wood Elf and Mermaid races. Their element is almost exclusively Light. The only exception is electricity, which is used to restart the heart.
Rebirth Blood: Rebirth Bloods are the descendants of Kimiko, the Deity of Rebirth, who originally was a Fennikkusu. Rebirth Bloods heal extremely fast on their own, possessing near regenerative qualities. They are generally isolationist people, who prefer not to get into conflict with others and assist Kimiko with the wheel of reincarnation. Like all Fennikkusu, they are very theocratic, basing their lives off of the teachings of their deity. However, they are kind and gentle souls, helping the souls of the dead reach their new lives. Kaori is a Rebirth Blood and all Rebirth Bloods are dual element of Light and Fire. ALL Rebirth Bloods are Fennikkusu, without exception.
Honor Blood: Honor Bloods are the descendant of a not very well known Mofeta Deity, who was considered to be the greatest knight to ever life in mythology. All Honor bloods believe in a code that is similar to medieval chivalry and well never break that code, even if their own life is in danger. Like all Mofeta, an Honor Blood is sworn to take a life debt if they have no Lord and someone saves their life. There are no named Honor Bloods in the setting, though in universe some rumors have arisen that Rogelio Sanez Lorca was one, but these are false. Honor Bloods can use magic of ANY Element that isn't the opposite of their innate.
Stealth Blood: Stealth Bloods are the descendants of Saskia, the Leader of the Eekhoorn assassin's guild. All stealth bloods have the ability to blend in with the shadows and render themselves invisible, so long as they are in the shadows and move extremely silently. Stealth Bloods, tend to avoid being seen and try to interact with people as little as possible, so they avoid contact with others as much as possible, unless it is strictly for business. Though Lilah/Klaartje is the daughter of Saskia, she is a demi-deity through her mortal father, and thus lacks the holy blood. This means there are no named Stealth Bloods in my setting. All stealth bloods have the Shadow Element Exclusively.
Power Blood: Power Bloods are the descendants of many different deities, existing with many different races. Power Bloods all have unnaturally high strength for their species, and are ever seeking to increase their own physical strength. They can usually be seen at some sort of gym, working out to build up their strength and will usually not focus on speaking to others while there. When away from the gym, they are anything but the stereotypical muscle head and are usually quite eloquent and intelligent, surprisingly many people who judge them on their first glance. Some join the military and in combat, they favor weapons like hammers and axes. Power Bloods exist within nearly all races with Fairies Mermaids being the two exceptions. They exclusively have access to the element of Earth.
Speed Blood: Speed bloods are the descendants of the spouses of the deities of power. Speed Bloods are faster than their non speed blooded counterparts and usually seek to increase their speed. They're usually seen running marathons and races that only allow them within them because of their advantage over other racers. Speed bloods are also quick to think and react to situations, making them great strategists if they decide to join the military. They also make good messengers if everything else fails. If they do join the military, they favor weapons like swords, which require speed and finesse. Oddly enough, despite exclusively having the Wind element, which opposes Earth, Speed and Power Bloods are very compatible with each other.
Nature Blood: Nature Bloods are the descendants of the Mus and Krysa deities of Nature. They are closely linked with nature and the Dryad race, and usually care for them. Though all Verbanans believe in a co-existence between nature and technology, because of the dryads, Nature Bloods take it a step further and have invented technology that uses no artificial parts that is powered by mana. Nature bloods are very caring creatures who can soothe even the most angry of beasts. Though there are no named Nature bloods, as stated, they are limited to the Mus and Krysa, and they are limited to the Earth Element(Nature variant).
There are other holy bloods and will be listed and added to when I develop them further.
Races that can use magic without holy blood
Elves: All Elvish people and Elvish descendants(Meaning half-elves) are capable of using any element of magic that is not opposing to their natural innate element, which depends on the species. Wood elves get Wind, Mountain Elves get Earth, Drow get Dark, Sea Elves get Water, Arctic Elves also get Water(ice variant).
Fairies: All fairies, regardless of species can use any element of magic that is not Earth, as every fairy has Wind as their Primary Element.
Dragons: ALL Dragons can use magic of any element and are the originators of Magitech.
Dryads: Dryads are a type of creature that is so closely linked with nature, that if the natural mana flow in their area changes in certain ways, they will get sick and if it changes significantly enough, they'll die. ALL Dryads have the element of Earth(Nature variant).
