What a creative title, amirite or amirite? *cough cough* Anyway, most of you (I hope) have already seen my reviews/Top 10 list on the Anime and Manga Thread. Doing those, I found out doing reviews is actually, pretty fun! So, to not limit myself to animes, and to not spam that thread with reviews, I'll just create my own thread for reviewing stuff. For convenience, I'm gonna quote what I said in the Anime and Manga Thread here. kek i binged more animes then i can count these past few weeks so now im gonna make my top 10 animes of all time and y'all should watch all 10 of these animes or uncle foxbox is gonna get ya (also i'd like to see all of your top 10s, so plz) anyway, it'll be going from worst to best, 10 being the worst, 1 being the best. The scoring will be based off the plot, the animation, how it sounds, how well designed the characters are, and my own personal enjoyment. For romance animes, I will add a romance scoring section. Also, the overall score isn't caculated in any way, it's just a random number off the top of my head that I think fits based on what I gave the other sections. anyway, let's go 10. Hayate No Gotoku (Both Seasons): I'm conflicted about this show. Sure, it made me love the Romcom genre of anime, and introduced some of my favorite characters of all time *COUGH HINAGIKU COUGH* Ahem. Anyway, in case you don't know what this show is, it's basically a butler who's super human who protects this ultra tsundere rich twin tailed blonde cutie from bad guys, all the while going to school. It features a shit ton of pop culture references, such as Metal Gear Solid, and in the second season, they do a cover of Neon Genesis Evangelion. I mean, c'mon! Its...beautiful. Anyway, the main reason why it's stuck at a 10 is quite simply, nothing goes anywhere. For example, in the second season, the most popular girl from the first season, originally a supporting character, Katsura Hinagiku, becomes a main character, and steals the spotlight from Nagi, the original female lead, for a short time. A lot of stuff happens, and eventually, Hayate, our darling butler, stays over at Hinagiku's house for a bit. Now, you think this will lead into something bigger, but no. Without revealing spoilers, the show has a habit of building up shit, then collapses at the last second, which, honestly, is depressing. However, if we have the same mentality as we did when we watched SAO, AKA don't pay that much attention and just have fun with the show, then Hayate No Gotoku is definitely a great watch. Animation: 8 Sound: 9 Enjoyment: 9 Plot: (Not gonna consider plot into this review, as the show literally has no plot.) Characters: 5 (Would be a 10, if the show actually decided to follow up on what they build up.) Romance: 1 (Fucks sake) Overall: 7.5/10 Recommendation: A fun show that will give you lots of laughs. Just don't expect to be heavily emotionally invested. 9. The iDOLM@STER: Idols! Uh...Idols? Idols. Idolmaster is an anime focused around a huge cast of 14 girls, and their climb to the top of the mountain. With some of the best animation I've seen, ever, some really catchy songs, and one particular episode that stabbed my heart, iDOLM@STER is more then meets the eye. At first, you may think it's just some fluff grillz singing shit, and well, not gonna lie, it is. But, the last few episodes make the show x50 better. I'm not exaggerating, it's that good. Now, as with Hayate No Gotoku, the plot...doesn't exist. Well, not yet, anyway. Starting from episode 15-ish, the anime takes a really dark turn, which really surprised me. However, it was very worth it, as I would consider the show to be a 2/10 without the last few episodes. Anyway, you all want to know about the IDOLS. CUTE GIRLS DANCING AND SINGING AWWW YEA- *shot*Alright so, there's 14 girls, if I remember correctly. Most of them just fill a trope, sadly, such as the well endowed onee-chan character, the mischievous twins, the happy-go-lucky girl that keeps the team morale high, the loli tsundere, etc. The key to the characters isn't they themselves, it's how they react to each other, and our main character, the Producer. Known only as the Producer, a male in charge for most of the idols, he is hard working, kind, and liked by almost all of the idols. With some splendid dancing scenes, the emotional second half of the anime, and the splendid soundtrack. iDOLM@STER sets itself apart from the others. Also, to get a feel for the animation and music and stuff, here's the OP: Animation: 10 Soundtrack: 10 Plot: 2 (there is a plot during the second half, but it doesn't make up for the first half lol) Characters: 6 Enjoyment: 9 Overall: 8/10 Recommendation: Has some of the best, if not the best dancing scenes in anime, along with some extremely catchy tunes. Be prepared for a very, very slow start though, full of fluff, and generic shounen shit. 8. Persona 4: The Animation: Why do I feel like I'm gonna get hated for this? Alright well, whatever. Persona 4 stands as one of my favorite JRPGs, with some of the most memorable characters, and an intriguing storyline. Originally a game for the PS2, it received critical acclaim, to the point where ATLUS, the company behind the game, decided to milk the living hell out of it, releasing a "remastered" edition called Persona 4: Golden on the PSVITA, this anime, Persona 4: Golden: The Animation (which is complete garbage by the way), and most infamous of all, Persona 4: Dancing All Night. So, it's been milked. But that doesn't mean its bad! This anime adaptation is extremely, extremely faithful, and tells the original story better then the game, in my opinion. The plot of the anime is, Yu Narukami is a new transfer student at a rural city called Inaba. As soon as he moves in, sp00ky stuff starts happening that sp00ks the residents of Inaba. What are these sp00ky things? Murders. Not just any murders, the murderer would dangle them upside down on top of roof tops. Even worse, the police are unable to find any cause of death. It is up to Yu, as well as his group of friends, to stop the murderer by entering the "TV world." Basically, high school kids beat the crap out of monsters in a TV using huge gods that are supposed to be avatars of themselves. With some extremely memorable characters, and amazing action scenes, Persona 4: The Animation skyrockets onto this list into number 8. Also, it doesn't hurt that it has a fucking AMAZING soundtrack. What, don't believe me? Animation: 9 Soundtrack: 10 Characters: 9 Enjoyment: 10 Plot: 6 Overall: 8.5/10 Recommendation: A wonderful anime about friendship, hope, and beating the shit out of shadows inside of a TV. Awww yeah. Also, if you're wondering about the plot score, the plot itself isn't the issue. The pacing of the show is the issue. 7. Sword Art Online II: Okay, OKAY, please, don't shoot me. Let me explain. I have a very good reason to put SAO anywhere near this list. Now, if we are talking about the entire anime, SAO II wouldn't even be in the top 100. HOWEVER, if we pretend everything else doesn't exist, other then the Mother's Rosario Arc, then we have a contender for anime of the year. I know there are some people who hesitate to bother with SAO II, and I don't blame them. The first half starts off amazing, but becomes more Dues Ex Machina bullshit as Kirito can wield a lightsaber (lolwut) and deflect bullets (lolwut). Also, might as well call this arc, Sinon's Ass Online. After this arc, we have some dumb filler arc about some stupid Excalibur sword that no one really cares about yadda yadda. NOW, we get to the god arc. Mother's Rosario. Kirito basically fucks off during this arc. He ain't the main character anymore. The focus shifts to two girls. Yuuki and Asuna. Yuuki is a newly introduced character that is described as a legendary swordsman that no one can beat. Asuna, doubting this because her boyfriend is literally god, calls bull. However, after hearing even Kirito lost to this player, Asuna went to fight her for herself. From there, we have quite simply, the best arc SAO can ever hope to achieve. Without spoiling too much, the new cast of characters is a refreshing change, and seeing Asuna reverting back to the badass we saw in episode 1 and 2 during the first season, is quite satisfying. Also, I'd be lying if I said it didn't make me shed at least one tear. Animation: 10 Soundtrack: 7 (It felt really underwhelming this time around. Yuki Kajura, the composer for SAO I and II seems to be getting a little rusty. This was one of her worst composed soundtracks yet.) Characters: 9 (That's the only time you'll see Characters from SAO get a 9 lol) Enjoyment: 9 Plot: 9 Overall: 8.7/10 Recommendation: Just shove everything out of the day, besides Mother's Rosario, and you won't be disappointed. (Hopefully. If you still don't like it, I'm sorry. plz dont hurt me and continue to read my reviews I swear I'm still credible) 6: Seto No Hanayome: Alright, so this anime gets a very special place in my heart. It is the first anime my brother showed me, and what made me get into anime in the first place. It is also my second favorite romcom ever. (What's the first? Hue hue hue.) Anyway, in case ya nerds don't know this show, basically, our MC, Nagasumi, goes to the beach during a family vacation and starts drowning (idiot) and a mermaid appears to save him. Mermaids are considered a legend, so he assumes it was a dream at first. However, when the mermaid who saved him shows up at his home, along with a gang of goons, they kidnap Nagasumi and his parents, and send them to the bottom of the sea, to talk to the mermaid's father. Confusion reigns, and the choice is either to let the mermaid die, (Who's name is Seto San), or marry the mermaid. Obviously, Nagasumi goes with option dos. And thus, we have a hilarious romantic anime with one of the best cast of characters in ANYTHING, some top notch humor, and a very, very beautiful man named...Masa-san. Go ahead, I dare you to tell me you don't want to watch this now. Animation: 8 Soundtrack: 8 Characters: 10 Plot: 5 (The story is split into "arcs" if you will.) Enjoyment: 10 Romance: 6 (FeelsBadMan) Overall: 9/10 Recommendation: An amazing romcom that grips your heart, and plays strings with it, making you laugh till you cry. Don't expect a great romantic tale from this though. Top 5 TIME BABY ARE YOU READY 5. Anohana/Clannad:Afterstory: What's this!? A tie!? Foxbox you shit! Calm down. The reason for the tie is, I don't know which is the better of these two, and I'm 99% sure no one wants to see 5 and 4 being pretty much the same anime. Anyway, you should be happy! Two reviews for the price of one ayy Anyway, let's start with Anohana. Anohana (Short for Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai) is a sad show. Like, sad. Sad life. No value. Alright, so here's the lowdown. We got a MC called Yadomi Jinta. A couple years ago, he was really tight with a group of friends. However, ever since of their members died, the group drifted apart. Now, that said member is a ghost, and has returned to haunt(...?) Jinta. Now, when I say haunt, I mean, literally, his friend that died from a couple years ago is back, but as a ghost, and only he can see her. That ghost is named Menma. Menma hasn't departed to the afterlife (Heaven or Hell) as she still has one more regret, or wish that she wants to be granted, and she can't RIP like that. In order to have Menma RIP, Jinta attemps to gather the old gang back together one last time, to help Menma. But, as you would expect, they all think he's batshit insane and got the shit kicked out of him by Dean Ambrose at the Ambrose Asylum. Anyway, through a series of master trickery (and by that I mean pity) they help him (her? Menma?) grant this "wish." Unfortunately for them, they don't know what that wish is (lol) and neither does Menma (lmfao) so...Trial and Error time boys! Overall, this show is really...nothing special. So why is it at number 5, tied with Clannad: Afterstory? I'll tell you why. Character Development. Anohana's character development single handily carried this show into the top 5 spot. Also, it has a song that almost tears me up just from listening to it.
Just, take a minute, and listen to that. Let it flow through your ear drums, into your mind. Also, this anime made me cry like a little bitch, so there's that. Animation: 7 Soundtrack: 10 Plot: 8 Characters: 11 (Fuck the scale) Romance: 2 (Fucks Fucking Sake) Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9.3/10 Recommendation: Watch it. It's only 12 episodes. I beg you, at least try it. Also, about the garbage romance rating, I was originally gonna rate it a 8, but I realized Menma is a ghost, so we go to the other option, Anjou. Anjou is a girl that has had a crush on Jinta for the past couple of years. Jinta APPEARS to have mutual feelings, but he just becomes the world's biggest cock. Not gonna say anything other then that, but they literally build this relationship up between Jinta and Anjou since episode one. Clannad: Afterstory: Whew, we got a doozy here. Anyway, did you hear? Clannad got added into Webster's Dictionary as a synonym for crying. (That's a joke.) Anyway, why did I put Clannad: Afterstory here, and not Clannad? Well, Afterstory is what made Clannad famous. I only really cried at two parts during the first season. During Afterstory, I legit could fill up my bathtub and overflow it with how much I cried. Despite Afterstory's COMPLETE COP OUT OF AN ENDING [INTERNALLY SCREAMS] It was great. I enjoyed it. Especially the Dad arc. Not gonna explain what happened because that's spoilers and I dun wanna get in trouble with mods. Anyway, there's not much I can really say. Almost everyone and their mom has watched Clannad, and what can I say that hasn't already been said? If you still aren't convinced that you should watch this anime. Watch this. Animation: 7 Soundtrack: 8 Plot: 10 Characters: 10 Romance: 9 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9.3/10 Recommendation: Want to cry? Look no further pal. MAKE sure you watch Clannad, season one though, or else you'll be confused as fuck. That being said, it is worth your time. I garen-tee it. 4. Anything by Hayao Miyazaki: If you watch anime and you don't know this man, you should feel bad. The Walt Disney of Japan, responsible for many classic anime films, Miyazaki is a creative genius. From My Neighbor Totoro, To The Secret World of Arrietty, to perhaps his most famous film Spirited Away, to Howl's Moving Castle, Miyazaki could be held responsible for making anime being so successful today. There's no review this time. Just, go watch at least one of his films, and absorb the magic. Top Three. Final Stretch. 3. One Punch Man: Don't even act surprised, you knew this was going to be on this list somewhere. One Punch Man, without a doubt, is the most popular anime since, well, anything. One Punch Man is more popular then SAO and AOT was at their peak. That popularity was well earned. Originally, ONE, the artist behind One Punch Man, drew the comic as a joke and to test a manga creator, however, it quickly took off. From shitty web comic, to professional manga, to the best anime of 2015. What a journey. I've already recommended this anime before in this thread, so I don't think I need to say any more. Animation: 11 (Fuck the scale) Soundtrack: 11 (fuck the scale) Plot: xdd what plot Characters: 9 Enjoyment: 11(F U C K T H E S C A L E) Overall: 10/10 Recommendation: Watch it. I have no other words.
2: Steins;Gate: My god. This anime was a roller coaster. Not just any ol' roller coaster at Six Flags. This is a roller coaster you'd have to sign a waiver to ride. Steins;Gate is quite simply, the best science-fiction anime ever made. With a plot to rival other time travel works of fictions, such as Back to The Future, and Doctor Who, and perhaps even surpasses them, Steins;Gate is one of the best animes ever. With a #2 rating on AnimeList, you know you're doing something right. I can't even review this properly. This anime is quite literally, perfection. And just listen to the eargasm inducing opening:
Animation: 10 Soundtrack: 10 Plot: 12 Characters: 11 Enjoyment: 12 Romance: 10 Overall: 12/10 Recommendation: An anime that breaks my scale. That's Foxbox branded! It can't get better then this...right? Number One. Toradora (Also known as Dragon x Tiger)Okay so, MAYBE I just came off a all nighter binge watch from this show. WHO CARES (I care, actually) Anyway, Toradora. Remember when I said Seto No Hanayome is my second favorite romcom? Well, this is my favorite romcom of all time, and at the moment of this writing, my favorite anime of all time. With a BRILLIANT cast of characters, amazing character interaction and character development, an amazing soundtrack, the animation being bright and cheerful, and has the best waifu. Taiga. All other waifus are non existent. (Sorry Flan ) It also has one of my favorite MC's, Ryuuji. It also has one CATCHY as hell opening. Then there's this. Needless to say, this anime has left me speechless. I love it. The only reason you wouldn't watch this is if you don't like tsunderes (and you should feel bad for that). Anyway, this has been Foxbox's top 10 anime's. I hope you give all of these a shot. Or else...Uncle Foxbox is coming with the shotgun... Animation: 10 Soundtrack: 10 Characters: 20 Romance: 100 Plot: 50 Enjoyment: 1,000 Overall: 9999/1 Recommendation: From now on, if someone asks me what anime they should watch. I'll always point them to Toradora. Pros: +Amazing cast of characters +The best romance I've seen in any anime +Tsundere lead +Funny +Music Cons: -Tsundere lead -If you don't like romcoms/slice of live, or if you don't have a heart, you won't like this RIP I gotta make a change to the list, I just finished Food Wars! (AKA Shokugeki No Souma) So, which anime is getting kicked off, hmm? 3... 2... 1... Ding ding ding! Persona 4: The AnimationWell, I talked with Dani about the adaptation, and I realized, she was right, the show is kinda garbage lel so uh. RIP. and in it's place... Shokugeki No Souma! And here's my review of it. 8. Shokugeki No Souma: WARNING: THIS SHOW CONTAINS FOODGASMS. WHENEVER SOMEONE EATS SOMETHING DELICIOUS, IT IS OVERLY SEXUALIZED AS THEY HAVE A FOODGASM. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE LEWD THINGS, DO NOT WATCH. HOWEVER, IT NEVER SHOWS ANY NUDITY. THE SHOW IS NOT HENTAI. IF YOU CAN GET PAST THE FOODGASM, IT IS WORTH A WATCH.
*Ahem.* So, Shokugeki No Souma. What is this, you might ask? Well, it's a cooking show! ... What? It is! Alright so, we begin with our MC, Soma. His father owns a very popular diner in some city that I can't remember (I'm not sure if it was even mentioned at all.) Soma, being 15, is destined to take the restaurant from his father as he gets older. Soma has learned everything he knows about cooking from his father, and they are both astounding cooks. One day, his father decides to leave, and sends Soma into a prestigious cooking high school in Tokyo. The school is notorious for producing world renowned chefs, as the school has a 10% graduate success. Soma, with the skills of his father, goes into the school, hoping to be number one. In my opinion, the premise is amazing. Plus, the protag is a cocky, smart asshole, and isn't afraid of letting people know he's better then them, which I freakin' love. An actual, cocky protagonist that can back up the trash talk with skill is something that's very rare. The show also has a female lead, Erina. Erina is basically, the female version of Soma. A super cocky chef, who too, can back up her trash talk. She's also a huge tsundere so ayy So, after watching 24 episodes of the show, and thinking, I have to say, I'm sad I missed this during 2015. It is a splendid show. The cooking scenes are freakin amazing, pulling off scenes only an anime can, and it has a ton of tense moments. What really makes the show so amazing, is the Shokugeki's, or, Food Wars. A student at the school challenges another student at the school to a cooking battle, both putting something on the line. The cooking battles are amazing, tense, and the food makes your mouth water. The art is sharp, colorful, and clear, and the soundtrack is amazing, with an extremely catchy opening. Another thing the show does extremely well, is the comedy. The comedy never fails to crack me up. It's always on point, never forces the jokes, and is a perfect example on how to use humor in an anime. There's even a second season coming out this very year, so now is a perfect time to watch this. Animation: 10 Soundtrack: 10 Characters: 7 (Some of the characters get little screen time, and seem very one-dimensional. The main female lead I spoke about earlier, Erina, gets very little screen time for being the female lead, which is...bold. However, the score isn't completely shit, because of Soma, the MC, is so freakin' entertaining to watch.) Romance: 0 (Note: This isn't going into the final score, however, the show leads you to believe in a romantic relationship, but nothing ever happens. Maybe something will happen in season 2, who knows.) Plot: 8 (The Food Wars premise is very interesting. Soma's journey to the top is filled with roadblocks, and are very amusing to watch him overcome them.) Enjoyment: 9 Overall: 9.4/10 HEY FOXBOX! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL? WHY IS THIS AT NUMBER 8 WHEN THE SCORE IS BETTER NUMBER FIVE, CLANNAD: AFTERSTORY/ANOHANA? !!!!1 Cause the ending left a bad taste. Not gonna elaborate. Hopefully, the second season fixes it. Mmk, so now that we got that out of the way, let's get the first two reviews under going! 1. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Genre: Comedy/Romance Airing Date: April 5 2013 - June 28 2013 "What kind of dumb fucking title is that?" You might be wondering. Well, I don't know, but hell, this show is pretty good. Like the name implies, it's a Teen Romantic Comedy. SNAFU is an acronym for "Situation Normal All Fucked Up" usually a military term. At first, this just looks like a standard RomCom. We got the protag who is like a lone wolf (What a surprise), the cool "ice queen" character who's the most beautiful girl in the school, and the "genki" girl, love triangle yadda yadda. Yeah, I'll agree, it does seem generic at first. But, what surprises people is how in depth it is. What starts out as looking like a generic RomCom turns into a beautiful show not plagued by standard cliches or common tropes. Story: Like what I said before, the show revolves around three characters. First, we have Hikigaya Hachiman, the main character. A complete loner who has no friends, and is widely seen as being creepy. Known for his trademark "Dead-Fish eyes' (What? Look for yourself. ) Due to being a smartass and a brat, he is forced to join a club by his teacher as a punishment. The club in question is, The Service Club. The Service Club is a club where people go if they want help on anything, such as confessing to their crush, making food for their mom or something, etc. The club has only one other member, Yukinoshita Yukino, an ice queen beauty who too has no friends, despite being one of the most popular girls in the entire school. With their "loner" attitudes, and their different outlooks on life, hilarity ensues as they have to work together in order to help the kids who come to the Service Club. The duo are joined by another girl, Yuigahama Yui, a happy-go-lucky bubbly girl. Characters: The show has a diverse cast of characters, but I'll only be going over a couple. Hikigaya Hachiman: Like I said earlier, creeper, dead eyes, yadda yadda. He is also affectionately called "Hikki" by Yui, and "8man" by fans of the show. Yukinoshita Yukino: Ice Queen Beauty, loner, same thing as I said before. The reason she has no friends is in fact, due to her beauty. Many girls are jealous of her, and thus, talk shit behind her back, and refuse to make friends with her. Called "Yukinon" by Yui. Yuigahama Yui: The bubbly girl of the group, usually sporting a smile, she is extremely lovable. She also usually gives out nicknames to those she is fond of, such as Hachiman, who she named "Hikki" and Yukino, "Yukinon." One thing she doesn't have in common with the other two is that, she actually has friends. (Say whaaat?) Yeah, she's in a clique of some of the most popular kids at the school. Thus, it is very interesting to see her jump from a clique of the most popular kids in school to a club with two loners who have no friends but Yui. Hayama Hayato: Part of the clique group I mentioned earlier, he is a pretty boy, who seemingly excels at anything he does. With good looks, grades, and athleticism, he is fawned over by many girls of the school. His interactions with Hikki are particularly interesting. Those are the main four, in my opinion. Hayama is actually a supporting character, but I feel he's a main character, so there he is. He has significantly more time then the other supporting characters, and plays just as big of a role as Yui or Yukino. The beauty of this show isn't actually the romance. In fact, there's like, no romance in this show. The beauty of the show is from the banter of Yui, Yukino, and Hikki. With some amazing writing, just watching these three talk is more then enough to keep me watching. The banter is hilarious. Like Anohana, the main focus of this show is the Character Interaction, and by god, it does it fantastically. There is a second season of this show, unsurprisingly called "My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Too." I am in the process of watching it, so watch out for that review. Anyway, back to this show, some highlights of the show as I said, is the banter between the characters, and particularity, Hikki himself. He isn't your run of the mill protag that you can replace with just about anyone and the show would be the same. He is very unique, very much like Oreki Houtarou from Hyouka (watch out for my review of that!) in the sense that, they both are pessimistic assholes who are too smart for their own good. Hikki sees youth as nothing more then an illusion, and his school is full of hypocrites. He thinks everyone is a phony, pretty much, a lot like Holdeen from The Catcher in The Rye Novel. And thus, it is very interesting to hear his inner monologue. Everyone has that snarky side to them, criticizing everything pretty much. Well, Hikki is the personification of that side. He usually sacrifices his own image and reputation to help the people that come through the Service Club, much to the dismay of Yui and Yukinon, along with his teacher, Shizuka Hiratsuka. As the show goes on, this bites him in the ass. So, what do I think of the show? Well, I love it! Yukinon and Yui are both kawaii as fuck, Hikki is a splendid protag (mostly because I love snarky people) and the banter between Yui, Yukinon, and Hikki (this is like the eighth time I've said this, but it's true!) is enough to make this show worth watching. +Protag is amazing +Yui and Yukino are very likable, Yui in particular +Banter between main three characters +The art is very bright and colorful, which I love +Ending arc is phenomenal -Pacing can be a bit slow at times -Not much character development (Which is...surprising. However, from what I've seen of season two, they've remedied that problem) -The music seems...I dunno, generic? No piece really stands out for me, which is a shame
As it stands, MY Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, along with its second season, is available for streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Plot: 8 Characters: 9 Music: 6 Romance: 2 (When there's "Romance" in the title, there better be some romance. Unfortunately, all we get are hints. What a shame.) Animation/Art: 9 Enjoyment: 9 Overall: 9/10 Recommendation: RomCom lovers (Such as yours truly) or Slice of Life lovers will love this show. Doesn't mean fans of different genres won't like this show though! I recommend to give it a shot, at least. It's worth it. (No, this show doesn't make it into my top 10. Maybe this AND the second season will once I finish the second season.) Anyway, this has been Foxbox's Review of My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU! Till Next Time!

So, here's the second review. 2. Angel Beats Genre: Comedy/Drama Airing Date: April 3 2010 - June 26 2010 Ahh yes, Angel Beats. Renowned for making people cry. Is there any truth to that statement? Did it make Foxbox cry? Is it any good? Maybe, Yes, Maybe. Alright so, What is Angel Beats? Well, first off, you're stupid for coming here and not knowing Angel Beats. (I'm kidding don't report me I have a chat restriction on League for 7 games already) Anyway, Angel Beats is a Comedy/Drama show that is infamous for making many weep until mucus dribbles out of their nose and gets all over their nice clothes, forcing them to wash them. The story revolves around our standard protagonist, who is named Yuzuru Otanashi, who is, well, dead! Being the protag, Unlike Hikki, from my last review, Otanashi is sadly, a run of the mill protagonist. That being said, he does have a very interesting background as to why he's dead. It's actually pretty sad, nothing tear jerk worthy though. Just depressing. Anyway, he's dead, and he finds himself in a High School (What?). Apparently, in Japan, High School is the only time in your life where stuff actually happens. Well whatever, I'll let it slide. As he wakes up, he finds a girl called Nakamura Yuri, who is wielding a sniper rifle, aiming it at another girl, who is named Angel. Yuri explains Angel is the enemy, but Otanashi thinks she's full of crap, so he walks up to Angel, and unfortunately, gets stabbed and dies. The end, that's the end, see ya folks! Oh wait, I forgot, he's already dead. Mmk, so, he wakes up and stuff happens and thus, he joins the SS, a group within the High School to battle the Angel. What's interesting about this is, most of the other students within the school are in fact, not people. They are, AI, if you will. Only the people in the SS are real, actual people. The story has an interesting premise. Unfortunately, one of the biggest flaws, if not THE biggest flaw of the show is the pacing. Due to it being a 13 episode anime, it has to rush in order to get shit done. Sadly, rushing a drama anime is never good, as characters never really get fully developed. Had this been a 24 episode anime, it would have been SO much better, but sadly, it's not. So, the characters. Otanashi Yuzuru: Standard run of the mill protag, nothing really much I can say without spoiling stuff. Nakamura Yuri: Literally, Haruhi Suzumiya. I'm not even kidding, she is literally just, Haruhi. That being said, I do like her character. She too, has an interesting backstory as to why she's dead, but guess what? SPOILERS! Yahoo! Hinata Hideki: The best friend of Otanashi within the SS, and a very kind person, he is sometimes used as comic relief, however, near the end, he carries a great weight upon his shoulders. Those three are the main characters. The rest of the characters in the SS are side characters, and unfortunately, I do not have the time to sit here and list all of them and their personality traits and yadda yadda. Alright, so, what did I think of the show? Well, at first, I thought it was a masterpiece! Then, I found out it was actually mediocre. Sure, it made me cry, but...that's it. Now, people may bash me and say "IT MADE YOU CRY ITS A GOOD SHOW" no. Okay, listening to fucking Dango Daikazoku makes me cry. Hell, freakin' iDOLM@STER made me cry! And that's about cute girls! That being said, Angel Beats is by far, not a bad show. However, it is overrated as fuck. People praise this as "THE BEST ANIME OF ALL TIME TAUIOHSDAUOISDHASD" I personally don't think so, I think it's a GOOD show, but it doesn't go to great, and certainly not "best." That being said, one of the arcs was one of the most depressing things I've seen in a long time. The show excels at some parts, but falls down and doesn't have Life Alert, and thus, can't get up at other parts. +Made me cry, and made others too +Angel is a great character +Some of the arcs are heartbreaking and beautiful +The Opening-Pacing -13 Episodes only -Yuri is literally Haruhi -Otanashi is generic protag -High School...Plot: 9 Soundtrack: 10 (Fucking, listen to this. Like, are you kidding me? This is amazing) Characters: 5 (Fucking lol. This actually isn't the shows or the writers fault. It's the fault of the studio who decided to make this 13 episodes. 13 Episodes is simply not enough time to fully develop and make the best of a story like this.) Romance: 3 -sigh I can't say why this is rated so badly without spoilers, but I feel I have to, so...SPOILERS! Maybe I just have no soul, but the romance between Otanashi and Angel felt half-assed and felt as if no care went into it. It was like a Dues Ex Machina, came straight out of Adam Jensen's asshole. Animation/Art: 7 (The animation and art isn't really anything to write home about. Although, it is pretty to look at, so there's that.) Enjoyment: 9 Overall: 7.9/10 Recommendation: It probably will make you cry, and it is blessed with one of the best openings in anime. That being said, there is simply, not enough time in a 13 episode anime to fully flesh out a plot as complex as this. It's a really big shame this wasn't a 24 episode anime. That being said, and despite the relatively low score, I still think this is worth a watch, since it is fairly short. Just like My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, it is also avaliable for streaming on Crunchyroll and Hulu. Well, 'till next time!

My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Too: Genre: Romantic/Comedy Airing Date: April 2 2015 - June 25 2015 Well, here we are...Again. I literally just reviewed the season one of this show like two hours ago lol, but whatever, here we are. So, did this season fix what I had with the first season? Most of it. It fixed three things I did not like during the first season. Those were: 1. No Romance 2. No Character Development 3. Pacing Second season remedies all that, which I am grateful for. First, the love triangle between Yui, Hikki, and Yukinon get a lot more interesting, to the point of (!Spoilers!) breaking up their friendship due to neither of them being able to confess to Hikki So, the romance part has been fixed. And when I mean fixed, I mean they completely revamped it, so it's actually a romance. From Yui affectionately stroking Hikki's hair, to Yukinon treating him in the nurses office (which leads to an extremely awkward stare down), the romance is SO much better. Now, what about the Character Development? Well, they got you covered there too. Every character (well, for the most part) develops in some way or another, even the side characters within Hayato and Yui's clique. Oh, and remember what I said about Hikki sacrificing himself in order to fulfill the wishes of the students who came to the Service Club seeking advice? Yeeeah, stuff happens, and it's great. It's like, the last arc from season 1, but into an entire show, which is splendid. It also introduces a new main character, Iroha Isshiki, a complete cutie kouhai who is actually very cunning and sly under her cutesy ditz persona that she shows off to others. Characters are the same this time around, with the exception of Iroaha Isshiki, a character I REALLY like. Her personality is great, and can be scary at times, and is overall a cutie. The other characters, mostly the main ones, such as Hayato, Yui, Yukinon, and Hikki get PLENTY of character development, which is fantastic. So, two things that they've fixed now. What about third, the pacing? Got me there too. Dang. Not once, did I feel like we were wasting our time in the show. By that, I mean, something was always going on, and was always relevant to the plot. In fact, I don't even remember any filler parts. It was all, PLOT. And it was glorious. gg they've legit fixed all of my gripes with the show, and strengthened what I liked about the show. (Especially Yui, she's so much better now! Not to say she was bad before~) So, with that, I can highly recommend this series if you're a fan of RomCom or Slice of Life. +Everything from Season 1, just a lot better, and fixed all of my gripes from before-idklol, the music?Plot: 9 Soundtrack: 5 (Opening this time was forgettable, pretty much used the same songs as the first season) Characters: 10 Animation/Art: 10 Romance: 8 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9.5/10 Recommendation: RomCom and Slice of Life lovers will love this. Well, just about anyone will love this, unless you hate cute stuff/slice of life. And with that, I think we need to kick a show off the list... Aaaand who's the (un)lucky winner? Ding ding ding! It's... Hayate No Gotoku (Sorry You can be the first member of our Honorable Mentions!) Actually, the whole list gets changed due to this. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU 1 and Too are too good for number 10. And thus, the list is as it stands is: 10. iDOLM@STER 9. SAO II 8. Seto No Hanayome 7. Miyazaki 6. Shokugeki No Souma 5. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Season One and Too 4. Anohana/Clannad: Afterstory 3. One Punch Man 2. Steins;Gate 1. Toradora I changed the whole list up, after some thinking. Well, till next time...again.

Akame Ga Kill: Genre: Action/Fantasy Airing Date: July 6 2014 - December 14 2014 Where to watch: Crunchyroll, Hulu NOT a RomCom, believe it or not. Akame Ga Kill is an action anime set in a universe where the country this anime takes place in is run by a corrupt emperor. A child, being controlled by a fat dude, a few brave individuals have taken up their arms to fight against this corrupt empire. This group is called Night Raid. In order to fight this dominant empire that has been spanning for centuries, Night Raid uses select weapons called "Imperial Arms." Imperial Arms are weapons or some other practical tool made by a past emperor hundreds of years ago. These weapons are impossible to replicate, and are one of a kind. Ranging from A one hit kill sword called Murasame, to gloves with wire threads running through them, being able to shoot out the threads like Spider-Man. Of course, not only Night Raid has these Imperial Arms, after all, they were created by an Emperor hundreds of years ago. When an Imperial Arms user fights another User, one of them HAS to die, which sets a very interesting premise for the show. Oh, did I mention? EVERYONE DIES (Not really) Well, when I mean Everyone Dies, I mean, there is no plot armor. Yep, you can Lee Sin R the plot armor out of this show, because ANY one of your favorite characters could die at any second. Funsies. These are some of the highlights of the show. The battle scenes are jaw-dropping, the Imperial Arms never fail to amuse me, and the tension throughout the show, knowing anyone could die at any second, makes for an incredible atmosphere. Now, what about the bad parts? Well, MY biggest gripe, personally, is that they've completely ruined any chance of having a S2 due to the anime deviating away from the manga, significantly so, too. Why they did this, I have no idea. If this had gotten a second season, it would've been huge. Now, that's only a personal gripe. Some may not care for the manga, and just care about the anime. In that case, I'm sorry to say, but you might be a bit disappointed there too. Despite all the beautiful action scenes, it is not enough to save the dribbling plot. First of all, the ending. The ending is as garbage as My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Too (Though, at least that's almost guaranteed to get a third season) and Shokugeki No Souma (That's guaranteed to get a second season). So, at least those two shows can make up for it in the next season. THIS, however, can not, as they've completely fucked up any chance for a season two, unless they pull out some bullshit Deus Ex Machina copout as bad as Clannad: Afterstory. Another thing the show doesn't do very well, is balancing. Some moments, the show is comedic, with some characters playfully teasing each other, etc. Other times, the show takes a complete nosedive and goes into the DARK REALM where everything is serious and DEATH DEATH DEATH. In the same episode too! Sometimes, they transition a comedic scene into a dark scene immediately! It's as if, the show has two directors, one of them wanting the show to be more comedic, the other wanting it to be more plot and dark, and their ideals clash, and therefore, we get this pile of poop. Although I just spent three paragraphs shitting on this anime, if there's one thing they did right (Besides the amazing action), it's how the show deals with morale. Morale, of course, plays a big role in civil wars or revolutions such as this. Why are we fighting? Is it worth risking my life for this? Stuff like that. The show does a glorious job of going in-depth of this. Most particularly, The Jeagers. The Empire's complete counter argument to Night Raid. Literally, the exact same group, (With different people, of course.), but for the Empire. When they're not fighting our so called "Heroes", they act just like Night Raid, leading to a weird and awkward position where you don't really know which side is good or bad, which is amazing, if you ask me. The soundtrack this time, you can forget a good rating for it. Both openings I feel, were very forgettable. However, one song in the OST stands out. Played during battles and tense moments, this song rivals Swordland from SAO, a very similar show to Akame Ga Kill. Now, what about the characters? Well, disappointing. There wasn't any REAL character development other then for like, two characters. Nevertheless, I'll be going over all members of Night Raid. Tatsumi: Cookie cutter protagonist. It might just be me, but after watching a few shows with truly unique protagonists, whom you cannot just replace with some average Joe on the street, such as Soma from Shokugeki No Souma, Hikki from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU (And Too), and Oreki from Hyouka. Now, most protags just feel...Bland. Akame: Mmk, so you remember Asuna from SAO? Of course you do, it almost killed the plot. Anyway, imagine her, but more badass and with black hair, and no deredere for the protag. That's pretty much Akame. Although, I do like her character. Wields Murasame, the one hit kill sword I said earlier. Bulat: A MAN. HE'S A MAN's MAN. Basically, he's a man, and he's badass, and he has an Iron Man suit with a spear. He's amazing. Leone: My personal favorite character of the anime, a complete badass who gives off a "Onee-chan" aura around her, she punches people with cat hands. Best girl. Mine: Twin-tailed pink loli tsundere. Has a huge gun. Literally all there is. Lubbock: Wielder of the glove with wire strings from earlier, he is usually comic relief and a pervert. That being said, I do enjoy his character, and when he transistion from a comedic relief character to a badass, shit gets real. Sheele: Seemingly gentle and soft, she is actually a klutz, and hides something much darker behind her outward personality. She wields an indestructible huge scissor. Najenda: Leader of Night Raid, a cunning leader and tactician, she is a mastermind. She also has an eyepatch, smokes, and has a robotic arm. So, she's Venom Snake. Awesome. Chelsea: Doesn't join till later, and doesn't get enough screen time. I freakin' love her. Not as much as Leone, however, she is my second favorite character, despite getting little screen time. Doesn't actually have a weapon, but her Imperial Arms allows her to transform into anyone she wishes. Susanoo: Not actually a human. This guy is actually an Imperial Arm. Brought back by Najenda, he's headstrong, can cook, and turn Super-Saiyan. Those are the main characters of Night Raid. Now, personally, these characters are cookie-cutter to like, the max. Such as Mine, for example. That being said, there are a few characters who really shine, such as Chelsea and Akame. +Imperial Arms are badass +Fight scenes rival SAO +Some really cool characters +A really cool premise +It's in-depth look on morale-Character Development is pretty much non-existent -Soundtrack is forgettable, aside from one song -Cookie-cutter characters, along with some common cliches and tropes plaguing some of the show -Comedic and Serious scenes are oddly transitioned and handled -Protag is as bland as you can get
Plot: 7 Soundtrack: 4 Characters: 4 Art/Animation: 10 Enjoyment: 8 Overall: 7/10 Recommendation: Pretty much how I would recommend SAO. Don't go in expecting too much from the plot. Aside from that, I do believe it is worth a watch, for the amazing action scenes and the cool premise.

ayyy lmao im doing something different. this time, ill be doing a top 10 of best anime Openings cuz why not There's only one rule to make this list (Well, aside from being good): 1. Only one song per anime. 10: Baccano: A rare opening, seeing as it has no lyrics. I haven't actually finished this anime yet, but so far, I'm liking it (Albeit, it is a bit confusing at first.) The way this opening transitions is great, and the sick jazz beat that gives off a very 1930's vibe is amazing too. 9: Hayate No Gotoku Season 2: Upbeat, catchy, and the part around 1:14 is especially great. 8: Himouto! Umaru-chan!: Even though Ebina is best girl, this opening is still kawaii as fuck, and is pretty catchy too. The reference to other games like Monster Hunter and Mario Kart is a pretty neat touch too. 7. Tokyo Ghoul: IMO, a very unique opening, just cause of the singing. The animation and art is beautiful too. Too bad the rest of the anime pales in comparison. 6. Attack On Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin: Epic, epic, epic. While the second opening is amazing too, I personally like this more. 5. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Too/Oregairu Zoku: Mmm, this was a tough choice. It was either this or the first opening. In the end, I chose this, if only because the animation looks so much prettier. Oh, and it includes Iroha. and Iroha is awesome. 4. Nichijou: So, it was either this or the first opening. Honestly, either or could go here, but personally, I feel the charm of Nichijou is just being ridiculously stupid and hilarious, and I feel this opening conveys that better. It's all over the place, random, catchy, and awesome. 3. Steins;Gate: I AM MAD SCIENTIST. IS SO COOL. SONOFABITCH. Nah but really though, this opening, as I said before, is phenomenal. 2. Shokugeki No Souma/Food Wars: Catchy, food, cute grillz, awesome, what else do you need? 1. One Punch Man: Aww yeah boy. This opening is simply, fucking, amazing. WAN PAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWNCH. Honorable Mentions: The World God Only Knows: Angel Beats: Clannad: Afterstory: Azumanga Daioh:

another new shit im doing called First Impressions where I take a fairly new anime and give my thoughts based on the first few episodes Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! Airing Date: January 14 2016 - Episodes: 1 Genre: Comedy, Supernatural A super new anime, seeing as it came out less then a week ago. Nevertheless, the synopsis intrigued me, so I decided to give the first episode a watch. Basically, some NEET (Not Employed, in Education or Training) went out to buy a limited edition game and saw a girl about to get "run over" by a "truck", so he pushed her out of the way to "save her." I'm putting all those quotes because in reality, the girl wasn't going to get run over, the truck was a tractor, and he pretty much committed suicide. lel. But hey, it looked...kinda cool? Except for the fact that he died of shock, instead of the actual blow of the tractor, and pissed his pants lel. So, that's unfortunate. He is then transported into another realm where he meets a goddess called Aqua, who is going to let him start anew in a parallel universe, to defeat a "Devil King" and his army. Aqua allows Kazuma Sato, the poor MC, to bring one thing along with him. He chooses to take her with him (That's some good shit), and thus, their adventures begin. The first episode was filled with laughs, and a bright, colorful, and pretty art style. The animation was fluid and crisp, it doesn't take itself seriously, which is great for a show like this, and Aqua is a great character. Kazuma himself is a great MC too, as he isn't completely incompetent like most other protags of comedy shows. All in all, I'm excited to see where this show is going from here on out. Keep an eye out for this Winter 2016 anime.

Review of: Baccano! Airing Date: July 27 2007 - November 2 2007 Episodes: 16I was literally held at gunpoint by a certain moderator of this forum to watch this show. *COUGH alzack13 *COUGH* Anyway, I got around to watching this show. This show can only be described as, a confusing dribbling mess of an anime that later becomes great and makes you go "OOOOOHHH!" near the end, all the while introducing fun, lovable characters, and crafting an amazing setting. Baccano takes place in the 1920's - 1930's, where various Mafia families run wild, and a legendary train, named The Flying Pussyfoot is starting a transcontinental journey across the US. However, before all of that, we have a story in the 1700's, aboard a ship called the Advena Advis. None of this makes any sense, and when you're watching the show, you'll think that none of these events are connected in any way, shape, or form. You'll probably think what I thought when I was watching. "What the fuck is this shit? We're on a trai--oh look, a shoot out between mafia fami--What the fuck. We're on a ship? Who's this bitch? Is that Maiza???" Near the end, the show masterfully connects every event together, like they were a puzzle piece. The show also has a wonderful cast of characters. Issac Dian: A thief who always acts dramatically and causes a scene, but is a very likable and funny guy. Miria Harvent: Issac's partner in crime. Pretty much him, but female. Ennis: A mysterious woman who I cannot explain because that's spoilers. Maiza Avaro: Part of the Martillo family, a reserved man who is immortal. (I'll explain that bit later.) Luck Gandor: Part of the Gandor family, and my personal favorite character. Like Maiza, he is always reserved, and is immortal as well. Chane Laforet: A passenger aboard the Flying Pussyfoot. A very skilled fighter. Czeslaw Meyer: Another passenger aboard the Flying Pussyfoot. Looks like a child, but is actually hiding something big. Firo Prochainezo: Part of the Martillo family. Young, kind, and caring. Ladd Russo: A homicidal maniac who likes to kill people who think they're safe. Passenger of the Flying Pussyfoot. Jacuzzi Splot: Passenger of the Flying Pussyfoot, recognizable by his sword tatoo on his face. Claire Standfield: The conductor aboard the Flying Pussyfoot. The Rail Tracer: A mythical monster who is said to devour trains. A huge cast of characters. Pretty much all of them are likable. Of course, there are also side characters too, but these are the main ones. I can't really say anything much about them, due to spoilers. So, the show. Was it good? Was it bad? Did it cause any migraines? Yes, no, yes. The show is masterful at connecting seemingly unrelated events. Although the first few episodes are just as confusing as Steins;Gate's first few episodes, they ultimately pay off in a huge way, just like Steins;Gate. Now, back to what I said about the immortals. In the show, there are a few humans who are in fact, immortal. They can't age, and if they take any blow that's lethal, they'll recover almost instantly. Most of the show is focusing on this immortality, along with an elixir that makes you immortal. I can't really say much from there, however, I can fully recommend this show. It's funny, the action scenes are amazing, the characters are lovable, and the 1930's timeline, with the Mafia and shit is fucking amazing. +Setting is amazing +Characters are lovable +Plot is phenomenal +Voice actors are amazing too -First few episodes may turn away some people -Soundtrack is a little...forgettable? The opening is great though
Animation/Art: 9 (For 2007, this looks fucking great.) Soundtrack: 8 Characters: 10 Plot: 10 Romance: (Not gonna say who, cause that be da spoiler) 8 Comedy: 8 Overall: 9.6/10 Recommendation: If you like the Godfather, or Mafia shit, or if you like being confused as fuck, before going "OOOOHHH!", then this show is for you. Overall, this show was a great watch. Thanks, Alzack.

Review of: Sword Art Online I and II I: 25 Episodes Airing Date: July 7, 2012 - December 22, 2012 II: 24 Episodes Airing Date: July 5, 2014 - December 20, 2014 Oh boy, we got ourselves a big one. "You little shit, you already reviewed SAO II!" Actually, I only reviewed the Mother's Rosario arc, so SUCK IT (Don't actually suck it) Alright, so! Sword Art Online. Probably one of the most popular animes in the entire world. With several light novels, manga, two anime seasons, and a movie coming out soon, this franchise is ginormous. That's not even counting the games. With several games for the PS3, PS Vita, and PS4, this franchise gets larger by the day. But, does a large franchise equal to a good franchise? Let's find out. I'll be reviewing Sword Art Online I first. For those of you who do not know Sword Art Online, first of all, how the hell do you not know, and second, Sword Art Online is a Virtual Reality game, where players are immersed into a fantasy world, with the goal of the game being to clear 100 floors of the flying castle they are in, Aincrad. (I'm pretty sure that was a run on sentence, but this isn't English class so who gives a shit.) Each floor is unique, in the sense that some of them are peaceful little towns, with NPCs roaming around, and others are just absolute shitholes, where people die if they take three steps. Speaking of death, if you die in the game, you die in real life. Yep. The premise of the show is based around a game called Sword Art Online, a brand new VR MMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) released on the Nerve Gear, a better version of the Oculus Rift. It pretty much puts you in the game. Your body in real life stops moving, as all brain activity goes to the game. Now, I personally think that's cool as fuck. Being able to actually fight monsters with your actual body, dodging for real and shit. Other then the whole, you know, dying stuff. Now, you might be wondering, "Who would want to play a game where if you die in the game, you die in real life?" Well, suicidal people. (That's not funny.) Well, at first, you wouldn't die in real life if your in game avatar got killed. The game's creator, Kayaba Akihiko, changed the game on the launch date, so that if you die in the game, the Nerve Gear zaps your brain, and you die. Oh, and don't even think about trying to log out, or hoping someone on the outside will take the Nerve Gear off of you. First, there's no log out button. Second, the Nerve Gear is practically glued to your head. Sword Art Online has essentially become your life now. Now, moving on from the premise, and onto the characters. (Note: ( ) means their in game name.) Let's go over the main characters. Kirigaya Kazuto (Kirito): The MC of the show, a teenager who got into the game's exclusive closed beta. Yuuki Asuna (Asuna): The female lead, and the main love interest for Kirito. Now, already, this show goes on my shit list because of how shallow these two characters are in the first season. Kirito goes from a teen trying to survive in this harsh world, to an overpowered, edgy scumbag. Asuna, who looks like a SUPER FUCKING AMAZING FEMALE CHARACTER IN THE FIRST TWO EPISODES, turns out to be generic, before becoming overly reliant on Kirito, and thus, making her a plot device. For shame. While on the topic of those two, let's delve into the romance of the show. Or, "romance." I hesitate to call it that, because it is the sloppiest, messiest, piece of shit excuse for a romantic relationship. It is COMPLETE garbage. Let me tell you why. [Spoilers, be warned.] Garbage. Moving on, let's talk about something positive for once. The animation and soundtrack. Bah gawd, I think I [censored] all over my [censored] and then [censored] before cleaning up my [censored] before [censored] and then I got the cactus and [censored] when I watched the boss fights. The soundtrack, combined with the fluid and crisp animation, makes each and every single fight scene drop your jaw to the ground, before [censored]. LISTEN. TO. THE. SOUNDTRACK. The opening is absolutely phenomenal too. The animation. Well, words can't describe it. Look at it. [Mild Spoilers] And that moves us, to the story. Well, the first half of SAO is, although nothing to write home about, decent. Aside from the time skips that seemingly happen at random, Kirito turning into Brock Lesnar and beating the shit out of everybody, and the show switching its genre type every couple episodes, it was fairly enjoyable. And then, we get to...the second half. I still cry myself to sleep. Asuna LITERALLY [Spoilers] Becomes a bird in a cage. LITERALLY. LIKE. WHAT THE FUCK YO. There was also a SUPER weird and cringy incest thing going on. Oh, and the main villain fucking pissed me off. Although, I guess that's a good thing. Anyway, for the first half, my biggest problem was, Kirito was always like, jerking off doing nothing. He was always doing these stupidly retarded side quests for cute girls, and let me say, girls are, as you can imagine, rare in SAO. But guess what? Kirito literally attracts girls within a 600000 mile radius of him, somehow making all of them fall in love with him. [Spoilers] even his sister/cousin LOL He was always side tracked, making the main story feel unimportant, in favor of these side stories, such as...fishing? ...Kden. I feel the show didn't have an idenity. it was changing genres every other episode, one being a murder mystery, and another being RomCom fantasy. +Action +Soundtrack +Art +Premise -Cop outs -Story -CharactersStory: 2 Animation/Art: 10 Soundtrack: 10 Romance: 2 Enjoyment: 8 Overall: 7.5/10 Recommendation: Go in expecting garbage, and don't think too hard about things. Also, even though I shit talked the show, I do like it. It is entertaining to watch, and I would actually gladly rewatch it if I had a chance. That being said, the show could've been so much better. How? Well...I got a few ideas. Something new JUST for SAO. I'll be practically rewriting the show right now, to make it better. As you can imagine, spoilers. Now, this isn't easy. I have to keep in tact all of the side characters and side quests, while making the show better. Let's do this. 1. In episode 3, do not kill off the Moonlit Black Cats. Or at least, don't kill all of them. Don't have them die in the trap, skip it. Instead of Kirito fighting the Santa themed boss alone, have the entire group fight it, and have everyone die. Using the item, have Kirito revive Sachi. Sachi, feeling the guilt that Kirito revived her, runs away. A few days later, have Sachi send a message to Kirito, with only "I'm sorry." written, followed by a clip of Sachi humming Merry Christmas. Have the episode end on Sachi disappearing from Kirito's friend list. 2. Still have Kirito save Silica, and have Pina die. Have the same episode, except show Kirito sometimes speaking to what seems like himself. (What I mean by this is, focus the shot on Silica, and as she's looking around or some shit, or when they're in the Inn, show dialogue like "-Ee you soon." "I'll be there." Silcia questions what he's doing, he says nothing. When Kirito is confronted by Titan's Hand, instead of winning by standing still (fucking lol) have him snap his fingers, and outcomes Klein, Agil, and Asuna from behind them. Kirito says the whole bounty shit, and then the four prepare their weapons, and Titan's Hand surrenders. This way, we introduce Asuna and Kirito still having a relationship after the first two episodes, and we introduce Agil and Klein as being his friends. Granted, this is still a shit episode with these changes, but better then before. 3. Instead of them trying to solve that retarded mystery, do this. Have the guy who gets "killed" DIE for real as Asuna and Kirito are heading to town. Show the Laughing Coffin. [SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2 OF SAO. IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED IT, DO NOT READ.] Remember that scene with the Laughing Coffin raid in S2? Put that here. After the guy gets killed, have Kirito and Asuna interrogate the girlfriend of the guy, and then they set a trap. They use her as bait. Just as she's about to get attacked, Kirito tackles the member, and Asuna points her sword at his neck. He gives away the guild's position and shit, and then put the raid here. The reason I'm doing this is, I find it really stupid they put in an SAO scene in season 2. [SPOILERS OVER FOR SEASON 2] 4. Now, we have a free episode to ourselves. Since EP6 was about the whole Grimlock thing (Which was utterly retarded) and we already solved that shit. We use this free episode for the fight that they were discussing in the beginning of episode 5. They prepare to fight the monster, they use Asuna's strategy of using the NPCs as bait, have them fight it, Kirito and Asuna fight together like old times, they kill it, and then have Kirito remind Asuna that she still owes him for that meal, since they couldn't eat last time due to the raid. Have them spend time together and don't make Asuna a tsun. 5. So at this point, the show is hopefully a little better. Have Kirito drag Asuna along to get a sword. Make them all buddy buddy now. Lisbeth gets jealous and shit, and then the three of them go to get the sword crystals or some shit. While they're fighting the drag, instead of having Lisbeth and Kirito fall, have Asuna and Kirito fall in, and Lisbeth runs away. We need to make the romance between Asuna and Kirito more concrete. They sit together and talk and shit, they start to get closer, but don't have them hold hands as they fall asleep like Lisbeth and Kirito. That's dumb. Instead, have them sleep near each other, and in the middle of the night, they do the "Hey, you still awake" shit, and they talk, and laugh and share stories and jokes and shit. They fall asleep facing each other. Morning, dragon shit, they hold hands this time as they're falling, they meet Lisbeth hiding in a corner near the crystals, crying, thinking that they're both dead. She apologizes, they get the sword, ez. 6. Have this episode be the same, but make Kuradeel creepier. Have him spy on them, without them knowing as they're eating whatever they were eating. Kirito knows he's there because of his listening skill, he chases him out, Kirito says with Asuna for the night to protect her from Kuradeel, morning, the duel, and yeah. 7. This episode remains mostly the same, except have Asuna and Klein have a bigger role in the fight. They looked like garbage here. Right now, the relationship between Kirito and Asuna is a BIT better. 8. Mostly the same, but have Godfree (The other guy that died) fight Kuradeel. He realizes its poisoned, but Kirito already drank it. Kuradeel snaps fingers, two laughing coffin members appear, they show their tatoos. Godfree kill both members, but gets stabbed by Kuradeel. Kuradeel goes to town on Kirito, Asuna saves him, and at the end, Asuna doesn't show mercy. She just slices Kuradeel's head out right. Asuna carries Kirito back to the base, no kiss yet. 9. Rumors are going around Aincrad that the Lightning Flash Asuna and the Beater Kirito are dating cause Kirito is going to her house like everyday since his home is garbage or some shit. Unable to focus since Asuna's apartment is in a pretty populated location, she moves to the woods, and invites Kirito along since his home is garbage or some shit. Right now, they're like Best Friend status, although there are vague hints that they're in love with each other. Have the same deal with Yui, Kirito and Asuna go out on a walk, Kirito tells spoopy story, meet Yui, and shit. Here, this is where we learn Asuna is spooked by ghosts, and clings onto Kirito, making him blush and shit. Yui falls, they go, and the same deal. Instead of them going to the Town of Beginnings and having the whole orphan stupid shit, have her suddenly disappear even though they were having fun together. Kirito and Asuna then get a quest that's titled "Yui" and no description, and it's automatically accepted. This proves Yui's admin status or whatever she is to them. A map marker is then placed in that dungeon where the Fatal Scythe is. They go there, and as they're about to enter, they hear a scream within. Yulier, that gray haired girl runs out, crying and shit. They catch up to her, Thinker, the guy they originally saved in the original episode dies, and Kirito and Asuna rush down there, thinking Yui is there. They fight the Fatal Scythe, lose, they're about to die, Yui does the bullshit thing, same deal happens, she disappears, and instead of Kirito becoming a mad hacker or some shit and making Yui into an item, we have Yui give them the item. "Yui's Heart." A necklace that they both put around their necks. 10. We skip the fishing shit. That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen in my life. Instead, have the entire episode focus on the fight with the Skull Reaper. It's super kool and shit, near the end, Heathcliff, Asuna, and Kirito are doing some MLG Three on one action on the Skull Reaper, the boss knocks Kirito away, and the scythe is inches away from Asuna. Heathcliff does that freeze time shit to intercept the scythe with the shield, instantly blinking in front of Asuna. At the end, have the beginning of the next episode, with Kirito confronting him and Heathcliff revealing to be Kayaba Akihiko. He paralyzes everyone, and offers the challenge. Episode ends on cliffhanger. 11. Episode begins with them fighting, Heathcliff pulls more bullshit, breaks one of Kirito's swords, and kills him. Yep, no bullshit. Kirito dies. Asuna screams, and pleads with Heathcliff to give Kirito back, proclaiming "HE'S ALL THAT I HAVE!" with tears in her eyes. Heathcliff complies out of pity and because she's the vice captain of the guild. Kirito revives, but in return, Heathcliff kills Asuna. He stabs her paralyzed body. Kirito, infused with rage, drops his other sword, and picks up Asuna's rapier. They fight, and this time, Heathcliff is slightly injured from last time, and Kirito is fresh. Kirito, in super try hard and rage mode, stabs Heathcliff and kills him. After Heathcliff dies, Kirito drops the rapier, and falls to his knees. The others are unparalyzed. Agil and Klein go up to Kirito and comfort him. He shrugs them off and leaves, and then the game is cleared. We don't have the whole Kirito searching for Asuna at the end, but we do have him wake up and being attended to immediately by nurses and doctors. 12. Now we move on to the second half. Kirito, thinking Asuna is dead, is still in mourning. He and Suguha have the kendo shit, but Kirito loses easily. Suguha makes fun of him, and Kirito falls to his knees and starts crying, and starts thinking about Asuna. Later at night, he receives a phone call from Sugou, the scumbag villain. Kirito learns that Asuna is alive and rushes to her side at the hospital. He cries upon seeing her, and behind him, Sugou. He goes all creepy and is like "She's mine" or some shit and he's keeping her alive or some shit. Episode ends with Sugou sniffing Asuna's hair, being creepy and shit, Kirito shoves him, and holds him up by the collar, Asuna's dad walks in, thinks Kirito is scum or some shit, kicks him out of the room, and you just see Sugou's smug fucking face afterwards. 13. Agil calls Kirito to the bar, shows him the pic, same shit, he goes to Alfheim Online, and deletes all of his items and same shit. Instead of mysteriously being transported somewhere else, he's just transported to town. He deletes all of his past items from SAO, but one item refuses to be deleted. It's Yui's Heart. It tells him in Yui's voice to go outside. He goes outside, the necklace explodes, Yui comes out as a pixie or fairy or whatever the fuck she was, and then he hears explosions, and stumbles upon Leafa about to get killed by the three dudes. Instead of being god and fucking with them, he has a cool battle with all three of them, winning at the end, although barely. 14. Episode begins with the two at a bar drinking and eating, she asks his name, he says Kirito, she then looks visibly shocked for a second. Kirito wonders what's wrong, but Leafa shakes it off. Kirito asks about the World Tree, says he needs to meet someone at the top, someone he "Dearly Loves." Leafa looks somber for a second, but agrees to help him. She logs off, saying she has to go, and we see Suguha. We then get inner monologue of her saying "When I saw him, I thought that was onii-chan" or some shit. He then knocks on her door IRL, asking what to eat for dinner. The two go out to eat, and at a restaurant, Kirito starts talking about his SAO journeys, and Asuna to Suguha, who is all of a sudden asking a ton of questions. Suguha interrupts Kirito, asking if the name "Kirito" is of any significance to him. Kirito looks shocked, asks how she knows, and then she reveals she's Leafa and shit, and Suguha asks of the person he dearly loves is that girl he was talking about earlier in his stories, Asuna. He says yes, and all of a sudden, Suguha looks determined as fuck, and they eat, and play some more. This way, we skip the weird incest thing going on. 15. Episode 18 now, we have Leafa abandon her group for Kirito, they go on a trip, all the while Leafa or Suguha or whatever the fuck you want to say is still asking questions about Kirito. The same deal happens, Sugou gets all creepy as Oberon with Asuna or Titania or WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS ARC ITS SO GARBAGE. *Ahem* I'm sorry. Anyway, she learns Kirito is alive and is in the game, and says that he came by to visit and got all physical with him, and leaves, but Asuna learns the cage code and shit, and she whispers "Kirito, save me" to herself. 16. (Note, fuck Recon. That bowl cut asshole doesn't deserve to be in this anime. Fuck him.) Leafa and Kirito go through that cave and shit, only to learn that they're being followed when they hear footsteps behind them. They start running, but is then cut off by the Salamanders at the bridge. Instead of some bullshit and becoming Gleam Eyes, Kirito actually gets defeated here and is taken prisoner by the Salamanders instead of being killed, as a way to infuriate Leafa, and a chance at starting a war between the two factions, the Sylphs and Salamanders. Kirito gets taken away and thrown in a dungeon. A few hours later, General Eugune comes over and stares at him, and asks how he defeated three of his strongest men the other night. Kirito replies that they were weak, and this game is nothing compared to "That other game." Eugune ponders at "Other game" and asks. Kirito reveals he was in SAO. Cliffhanger ending. 17. Episode 20: Eugune calls bullshit on the SAO thing, and challenges Kirito to a duel, to prove if his swordsmanship is as good as one of the survivors of SAO. We're skipping that stupid fucking meeting shit cause that was utterly stupid. Kirito gets his gear back, and Eugune and Kirito fight at an arena in the Salamanders City. It's jam packed, the headline being "SAO Survivor takes on General Eugune!" They duel, it's cool as fuck, and Kirito spots Leafa in attendance. He does the smoke shit and takes her sword and yeah, the fight is pretty much the same. Eugune gets defeated, and then lets Kirito out of the dungeon, saying that he proved his strength. As a reminder of the fight they had, Eugune promises that he and his men will do one favor for him. Kirito whispers in Eugune's ear, and Eugune nods his head, and smiles, saying "You're one crazy kid. I like that." Eugune lightly bumbs Kirito with his fist, before walking off. Leafa asks what that was all about, Kirito says nothing, and Kirito goes on with Leafa to the city below the tree. Kirito tries to fly up, fails, episode ends as Kirito accepts the Grand Quest. (Note: I'm not having that Metal Gear Solid segment with Asuna almost getting tentacle raped cause there really wasn't a point to that, other then the stupid card, but that's a cop out. I got my own solution that's a cop out too! 18. Episode 21: Mostly the same, server maintenance, Suguha goes with Kirito to visit Asuna, Sugou is there, being creepy again (Fucking asshole) Kirito gets all worked up but cools down as Suguha puts her hand on his shoulder. Sugou leaves and Kirito holds Asuna's hand and looks at her somberly. It then cuts back to ALO, they do the Grand Quest thing, they get shit on, Kirito keeps on trying, but keeps dying, Leafa grabs his soul and runs, same shit. Before she dies, the doors open, and a huge bum rush of the Salamanders rush in with General Eugune. General Eugune tell his men to provide a distraction. Kirito rushes to the top, Yui comes out and says to Kirito that the quest was never meant to be completed, the door was never meant to be opened, it's a scam, and then they die, along with most of the Salamanders. They end up back outside, Eugune patting Kirito, saying "Sorry." before all of the Salamanders leave. Kirito drops to his knees again, crying. Episode ends. 19: Episode 22: A few weeks have passed now. Kirito is super depressed now. Asuna is super depressed still. Suguha is depressed. Sugou is having the time of his life (FUCKING DICK) One night, Kirito leaves without letting Suguha know. We see him go to Asuna's hospital room, and waits there all night. In the morning, Asuna's father walks in, and seems shocked, going all like "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" and doing typical things old men do. Kirito begins talking with Asuna's father, as the door closes. It then cuts to Suguha, being all like "omg wheres onii-chan" and shit. A few hours later, Kirito comes back, seemingly happy. He tells Suguha to get on ALO, and they do the Grand Quest, ONE final time. Leafa says he'll just die, and Kirito says "Watch me." Kirito opens the door to the Grand Quest, and looks up. In a split second, he grabs Leafa's arm and flies straight up. Episode ends. 20: Episode 23: Kirito flies straight up, Yui pops out and points at the door slowly opening. Leafa is shocked, but realizes that they won't survive that long. Kirito smirks as he opens his inventory and takes out Excalibur, the legendary sword. Leafa asks how he got it, and we go to a flashback of Kirito telling Asuna's dad everything, even showing proof through the hospital's camera. Asuna's dad says he'll do anything to get his daughter back. Kirito tells him to give him the sword Excalibur, along with a rapier, and to open the door at the end. Asuna's father agrees. (Note: If you don't know, Asuna's dad is the CEO of the company that owns Alfheim Online.) Kirito goes to fucking town with Excalibur and the Rapier, duel wielding. Episode ends as Kirito gets inside, as Leafa stays behind to fend off the enemies. Episode ends. 21: Episode 24: So Kirito and Yui go Sanic speed to the cage, as Yui can sense that "Mommy is close!" and shit. They meet, they're all reunited, Kirito and Asuna embrace, and share a moment. Just as they're about to kiss. Yui is suddenly being dragged into the ground, as Asuna and Kirito are transported into another location by Sugou, or Oberon in this world. Sugou does the whole sexual harassment shit with the anti gravity thing and the pain shit (I hated this part so much but It's important) and Kirito just lays there, with both the rapier and Excalibur in his back. Suddenly, the anti-gravity thing stops. Sugou is wondering what the fuck is going on as he was licking Asuna's face (fucking fag) and then they're back in the bird cage. Sugou gets a notification that his admin powers have been taken away. Sugou is like "OH NOES" and Kirito gets up, with like 5 hp. Kirito tackles Sugou out of the bird cage, as they both fly down. As they're falling, (I'm sorry, but we need this Dues Ex Machina, or else I don't know how to continue the story) Kayaba AKihiko with his online conscious appears to Kirito, and gives him admin powers. Kirito turns the pain meter all the way up, and chops off Sugou's wings and arms, legs, and impales him with the rapier, before flying back up. Sugou falls to his "death." Kirito and Asuna reunite. Kirito says he'll log her out and go visit. Episode ends. 22: Episode 25: Same shit as the beginning, Kirito gets attacked by Sugou. Kirito is placed in a choke hold, and just as he's about to get his throat slit, Suguha hits Sugou in the back of his neck with a kendo stick. Sugou falls, and Suguha beats the living shit out of Sugou, getting to the point where she cries, since he was about to kill Kirito. Kirito embraces Suguha, and kicks Sugou, before putting him in a choke hold of his own, and knocking him out, then calling the police. Kirito goes to visit Asuna, and FINALLY. This is where they kiss. They look at each other, and Asuna has tears coming out of her eyes. Kirito hugs her, and they kiss. And from there, the same deal, the same ending. And that, ladies and gents, is my rewrite of SAO Season 1. I'll be uploading the second season tommorrow, since I'm tired as fuck. Till next time!

Review of: Sword Art Online II (Cont.)Alright so, this time, I am NOT rewriting the entire show because 1. It takes literally 90000 years 2. This show is decent enough that I don't need to rewrite it 3. I don't want to lol Anyway, yeah, I'll just be reviewing it. So, I already reviewed Mother's Roasrio, but I'll review it more in depth this time, as well as the other arcs. There are three arcs. I'll be reviewing each separately, before combining all three of them to form one overall score for the show. Let's go. GGO Arc: Taking place in a steam punk setting, where instead of the usual swords, magic, and bows, we got guns. Guns. GUNS. Sorry (Not Sorry) Also, there's light sabers. Oh, excuse me. Energy Swords. *COUGH COUGH* Kirito is now Mace Windu. Anyway, so GGO is based around a new female lead (Who is amazing, might I add.) Her name is Sinon, a blue haired sniper within GGO. Kirito is once again, the main lead of the show along with Sinon, looking like a female now. (Don't ask.) This arc had it's up and downs. The ups were, of course, the fight scenes. Although like 99% of this arc was just literally bullshit Kirito deflecting bullets (Literally a Jedi), it was cool as fuck and I love Star Wars, so I'll let it slide. Another problem I had with this arc was Asuna literally doing jack shit the entire arc, except the end. The biggest issue however, was (Spoiler Time!) Them trying to tie in Sinon's legitimately traumatizing event as a kid, where she was forced to shoot and kill another man to protect her mother. And she was like, fucking five. FIVE. FIVE DOLLAR FOOTLONG. (Sorry.) They tried to tie that in, with Kirito's Laughing Coffin raid which they didn't show in the original show for some ungodly reason. While, I understand having to kill two people when you're 16 or 17 can legit be traumatizing, at that point in his life, and considering his setting, I don't think it would traumatize me in the slightest, were I him. It was literally a battle to the death, with people he loved fighting with him, such as Klein and Asuna. If he didn't kill them, he would've died. While that's the same with Sinon's case, she was 5, and like, probably had no idea what she was doing. She was also shunned at school for killing someone, calling her a murderer or some shit (That's actually fucked up) Anyway, moving on, this arc was a roller coaster. It's had its ups and downs, it's had huge drops and long climbs to the top. While slow at times, and two particular scenes being cringy as fuck, Death Gun, the main villain, almost makes up for it for being super cool. Overall, the arc was...decent. It focused too much on the [Spoilers] Raid and Sinon's traumatizing experience. (Oh, and there's sexual harassment in this arc lel) (that's not funny i dont know why i put lel) Arc Rating: 6.5/10 Excalibur Arc: This was literally filler. Nevertheless, it was good filler for the most part. Entertaining, the main cast, along with its side characters got shown off here, and Sinon got a lot of screen time and a lotta interaction with Kirito, making the other girls jealous. That being said, I dislike how they just lumped Sinon in with Kirito's harem (Which I remind you, his COUSIN is in it.) That being said, it was an enjoyable arc. Arc Rating: 7/10 Mother's Rosario: Well, you already know my stance on this arc. 8.7/10. That being said, I'll explain why it's so good. Like I said earlier, Kirito just fucks off during this arc, leaving Yuuki, our new MC, and Asuna, the ones leading the show. This, by itself, already makes this arc a must watch. Yuuki isn't stupidly overpowered, like a certain wish fulfillment character I see, and Asuna isn't a plot device anymore. *COUGH SEASON 1 COUGH* The new cast of characters is amazing as well. And although I do dislike Kirito, seeing him making a small one off appearance to help Asuna and the rest of the guild was nice to see. (Oh, and Klein too, I guess.) Arc Rating: 8.7/10 +See Season 1 +Mother's Rosario Arc +Sinon +Sound Effects (AKA Foley)-Sexual Harassment is getting old, A1 Pictures -Kirito is literally bullshit during GGO -Why does he look like a girl, what purpose does that serve other then ONE scene -Too focused on Sinon's traumatic event, and Kirito's Raid on [Spoilers], and trying to tie them together
Animation: 10 Soundtrack: 9 Story: 7 (Wowsers) Characters: 6 Enjoyment: 8 Overall: 8/10 Recommendation: In my opinion, MILES ahead of season one.

Yea, so Kirito just a chick magnet and then they are used as a damsel in distress and that's all they do for him. By your review, SAO did not improve since S1. I like determinate useful girls in my shows (Legend of Korra yo). Well I guess the fact it is SAO may cause me to watch it. Well it is at the bottom anyways, perpetually being pushed down by moe/kawaii anime shows.

eh, imo, it did improve a ton by s1. if you like determined useful girls, then the mother's rosario arc should've been right up your alley. also, sinon was good for like, three episodes. then kirito came along and rest in pepperonis. anway, ayy lomo, time for another review. and guess what? It ain't an anime. Review of: Undertale (2015) Release Date: September 15, 2015 Genre: RPG Developer: Toby FoxEveryone and their mom has either heard, or played Undertale. The internet is completely nuts for this game, with Gamefaqs naming it the best game of all time, beating The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time in the finals. Well, does it meet the hype? Well, in short, no. Don't get me wrong, this is a phenomenal game, and my personal favorite game of the last two years. That being said, I do not think it is the best game of all time. It is overhyped like Ocarina of Time. That doesn't mean it's bad though. Story: You play as a human kid who fell through a mountain named Mount Ebott, an infamous mountain where people are said to disappear. Falling into the mountain, you find an underground civilization, and a race called "Monsters." Long ago, a huge war broke out between these two races. In the end, the humans won, sealing them in this mountain. Your goal is to try to get out, and get back in the real world. The premise isn't anything to write home about. The story, however, is one of the best I've seen. From memorable boss fights, lovable characters, and a few beautiful scenes. Characters: I don't even need to say anything here. Every single character in this game is lovable or relatable in one way or another. From the spaghetti fanatic skeleton, Papyrus, to his fat, lazy brother, Sans, the game is filled with amazing characters. When I say amazing, I mean like, REALLY fucking amazing. The two skeleton brothers for example, Papyrus and Sans, are some of the best characters I've run across in entertainment. Soundtrack: Humor: Hit or miss, to be honest. Luckily, it shot me, right through the heart. For some people, the humor is really childish. For others, it is one of the most funny and charming games ever made. Thank god I was in the second group. The humor in this game isn't afraid of making fun of common tropes, anime, or itself. From Sans's cringy puns that make you want to shoot yourself, to this: The Endings: There are three separate endings in this game. Neutral, True Pacifist, and Genocide. [Spoilers Ahoy!]
Neutral: IMO, the "worst" ending. I don't mean that as in "EVERYONE I LOVE IS DEAAAAAAD" (That's another ending.) I mean, the sheer amount of confusion you have at the end of this route is amazing. That being said, this ending DOES make you want to play it again, to get the other endings. So in a sense, it's the best ending too...? True Pacifist: Without a doubt, the best ending. This made me cry multiple times during the two hour ending. From an AMAZING "New" character introduced in this ending, to the post credits scene, this ending literally MADE this game for me. Genocide: You're gonna have a bad time. This fucking shit, ain't even funny. You made real good friends with everyone in True Pacifist right? Das good man. Das reaaal good. Now go kill them all, have fun! Tee hee! Fuck off. From the hair pulling difficulty of Undyne the Undying, to the sheer bullshit of Sans, this is ironically, the most fun ending. That doesn't mean it's a good ending. Undertlae is an odd creature, yet amazing. It proves that you don't need a huge budget, good graphics, or a well known person working on a game to make it popular. Undertale, in my opinion, is the best indie game of all time. It almost redefines the entire genre, proving that indie games have a spot among the sea of triple A games, such as Call of Duty, Star Wars Battlefront, or Battlefield. +Extremely charming +Makes a lasting impression +Soundtrack is the best I've heard in years +Characters are the best I've seen in years +Emotional, funny, and fun +Gives you an idea of the RPG genre as a whole today. Full of tedious grinding -Overhyped, although, that's not really it's fault -Game isn't suited for everyone
Story: 9 Characters: 10 Soundtrack: 10 (Not grading graphics.) Replay Value: 8 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9.5/10 Recommendation: Indie fans, old school RPG fans, people who want a laugh, or an emotional roller coaster, this is right up your alley.

Review of: The Devil Is a Part-Timer! (Hataraku Maou-sama!) Producing Company: White Fox (Other notable works include: Steins;Gate, Akame Ga Kill) Episodes: 13 Airing Date: April 4 2013 - June 27 2013 Genre: Romantic/ComedySynopsis: From: My Anime ListSo, based on the synposis, this show already goes on my must watch list. You're telling me, Satan gets his ass kicked, gets transported into another dimension, and has to work at a McDonalds because he can't use any magic? Oh, excuse me, MgRonalds. God bless. So, obviously, since this show is produced by White Fox, the very same company behind Steins;Gate, one of the best animes of all time, I had EXTREMELY high expectations for this show. Especially after a few friends recommended this to me. I sat down, grabbed a bag of chips, some Dr. Pepper, opened Netflix, and went to town. After a very long, and hard fought battle, I finished the show. What did I think? Well, let me give you an example. Imagine you're a 8 year old kid in 2015, okay? You REALLY like Microsoft and Xbox and Halo and all that. You prayed to Santa every night, hoping for Christmas, you would get an Xbox One with the Halo: Masterchief Collection for Christmas. The day finally comes, you rush downstairs, and you see a large box, neatly wrapped. You rip the wrapping off, and see the words "Xbox" written on a green box. You cheer your lungs out! You open another part of the box, and see the words "Halo" on a smaller box. You practically scream. You rip the remaining wrapping off, and guess what? "Xbox 360." "Halo: ODST" Disappointment. That's what this show is. Don't get me wrong, I loved it! There's one tiny problem with it though. The ending is literally one of the worst I've seen. This show literally has the same problem as Shokugeki No Souma, or even Sword Art Online. You watch the whole show, gradually building up hype for the climax. The FINAL BATTLE. THE SHOWDOWN. Then, you get there! It's an exhausting journey, but you've made it. And what do you get? A cliffhanger. One that will probably never be picked up unless you continue the story, via Light Novel or Manga. In SAO and Shokugeki's case, it's confirmed they're gonna get a second season, or they already got it. But, this. A second season of this show will probably never see the light of day, which is frankly, depressing. Yep, they gave it THAT treatment. The 'ol, "Hey bro, wanna see more of the story? Buy our SHIT!" And thus, that's my reaction to THAT. Even though I just shat all over this show, as I said before, I did like it. It was funny, witty, the premise is fuckin' amazing. It was very enjoyable. Unfortunately, if we look at everything else, the pros slowly shrink away. The soundtrack is...Wait, this had a soundtrack? Yep. It was forgettable. I can't remember a single song. Not even the opening. The opening and ending were very, VERY lackluster. Well, if there's one place a show can redeem itself, it's the characters. Does it do that here? Characters: Ashiya Shirou: One of Satan's great generals, and was transported into modern day Tokyo along with Satan. Extremely obedient to his master. Becomes a housewife for Satan (LOL) Maou Sadao: Satan himself. Snarky, but at the same time, nice? Reminds me a lot of Soma. Works at MgRonalds. Look at that fucking pic. It screams badass. Sasaki Chiho: A coworker at MgRonalds. Has feelings for Maou. A tiny, but lovable girl with impossibly sized breasts. Look at them! That's like eating lasanga with a spoon, you can't do that! You can't give someone that cute and that size [censored] that big! Yusa Emi: The main heroine, the one who defeated Satan in the other world. Followed him and his general here, and suffered the same fate. Lost all of her magic and forced to take calls as her job. Insecure about her breasts (Yup, that trope. You can see how that plays along with the other female, Chiho.) She's also a tsun. Hell yeah bro. Waifu. All in all, this cast of characters is nothing short of amazing. As I've said before, I love tsuns, and I also love female characters who are a complete badass (Yusa Emi). Sadao, or Satan, is also, like I said, snarky, cocky, and an asshole, which are amazing traits for a protag. Just look at Soma, again. Ashiya's obedience is hilarous, and reminds me of Yukimura and OYAKATA-SAMA from Sengoku Basara. Chiho...Ehh, she plays the same role as Yui from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU, as in, she's the other female character who fills in the love triangle for Satan. She's also genki, like Yui, and has big...wait a second. This is literally just Yui, what the fuck. ...Emi is also a dick to Satan, like Yukino and Hikigaya... My shocking revelation aside, I overall really liked this show. +Humor is on point, like Kobe back in 2002 +Emi is badass, and a tsun. Wait a second. Insecure about [censored] trope, uses sword, beats MC a lot, lives with him practically, tsun...Taiga? THAT YOU!? +MC is snarky +Art is beautiful, and the action scenes, although rare, are splendid +MgRonalds babyyyy -Soundtrack is very forgettable -Chiho fills in the love triangle genki trope -Speaking of tropes, this show has a lot of those -Ending is really, really, REALLY bad (TL;DR: Nothing gets resolved LOL)
Art/Animation: 8 Soundtrack: 3 Humor: 10 Romance: 6 Characters: 8 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9/10 Recommendation: Pretty much for everyone. I mean, Satan fucking works in a McDonalds, what else do you need?

Tim, what you should do is make your first part of your first post a "table of contents" so it can be indexed and searched for the benefit of future posterity.

Top 10: Video Game Music/Anime Music
Ayyy lomo, one of these again. Same rules as before, one song per franchise. Anything from games and anime is fair game, except any anime OP that was in my last list.
10: Secret Base - Anohana
Emotional, sad, beautiful.
9: Promise - iDOLM@STER
This scene hit me like a truck. Like, a BIG RIG. I cried like a bitch, is what I'm saying.
8. Get Jinxed! - League of Legends
Something to break the sad song streak. This song is insane, fast paced, and it totally. Reeks of awesomeness.
7. Swordland - Sword Art Online
As much as I love to give this show shit, the soundtrack is nothing short of orgasm inducing. Too bad the choir sounds like they're singing about snacks. COFFEE, SODA. TOFFEE PASTA. COFFEE SODA. GIVE ME COFFEE.
6. Tetris Theme A - Tetris
Tetris babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
5. Gerudo Valley (25th Anniversary Edition) - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Okay, this is technically cheating, but dammit, the song originated in a game, and was covered by the same company, so it counts!
4. Vs. Lance/Red - Pokemon: Heart Gold/Soul Silver
Pokemon babyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
3. Love Colored Master Spark - Touhou: Imperishable Night
How can I have a list of VGM without Touhou? Especially on a Touhou forum.
2. Snake Eater - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
SNAKE EAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER.
1. Megalovania - Undertale
idk sans, this song made me have a good time.
Honorable Mentions:
Delfino Plaza - Super Mario Sunshine:
Fountain of Dreams - Super Smash Bros. Melee

Review Of: Nisekoi: False Love Episodes: 20 Airing Date: January 11 2014 - May 24 2014 Genre: RomCom, Shounen, Harem Studio: Shaft (Notable Works Include: Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica, Bakemonogatari)What a surprise folks, I'm reviewing another RomCom (someone shoot me already) Anyway, what is this show? If I had to describe it as simply as possible, it's a slightly worse Toradora. Now, that's not a bad thing, seeing as Toradora is my favorite show, this should be right up my alley, along with most other RomCom lovers. Let's dive in boiiiiis. Synopsis: (Courtesy of MyAnimeList) Raku Ichijou, a first-year student at Bonyari High School, is the sole heir to an intimidating yakuza family. Ten years ago, Raku promised his childhood friend that they would get married when they reunite as teenagers. To seal the deal, the girl had given Raku a closed locket, the key to which she took with her when she left him. Now, years later, Raku has grown into a typical teenager, and all he wants is to remain as uninvolved in his yakuza background as possible while spending his school days alongside his middle school crush Kosaki Onodera. However, when the American Bee Hive Gang invades his family's turf, Raku's idyllic romantic dreams are sent for a toss as he is dragged into a frustrating conflict: Raku is to pretend that he is in a romantic relationship with Chitoge Kirisaki, the beautiful daughter of the Bee Hive's chief, so as to reduce the friction between the two groups. Unfortunately, reality could not be farther from this whopping lie—Raku and Chitoge fall in hate at first sight, as the girl is convinced he is a pathetic pushover, and in Raku's eyes, Chitoge is about as attractive as a savage gorilla. Nisekoi follows the daily antics of this mismatched couple who have been forced to get along for the sake of maintaining the city's peace. With many more girls popping up his life, all involved with Raku's past somehow, his search for the girl who holds his heart and his promise leads him in more unexpected directions than he expects. [Written by MAL Rewrite] My thoughts on this so far: I mean, RomCom, Yakuza, Toradora-esque plot, a cool locket/key plot, this seems promising. Time to watch. Cue the montage song for binging this shit. Plot: Alright, I'm just gonna put it simply. The plot, is NOT the highlight of the show. The locket/key thing has SO much potential, yet it's as if we're getting roadblocked by a dozen Riot Squad members. Also, the show is like that one piece of shit kid on the playground who was always taller then you and would take your toys. They would hold it above your head and make you jump for it. They'll lower the toy down, and right when you jump, sike. They pull it back up and you look like a fool. This is from a personal experience. Sad stories aside, the plot is...SOMEWHAT passable, and that's me being a bit generous. Now, don't let that turn that away from this show. Even though I just curbstomped the plot, there are genuinely a few great moments. Now, they are far and few between, but when you come across them, it's like magic. Soundtrack: Passes with flying colors. Half the time, you don't even notice the music. It just seemingly blends in with the mood and the environment, which, I think, is masterful. This may sound ironic and stupid, but ambient music is always best when unnoticed. Art: Passes not only with flying colors, but does so while shooting heat tracking missiles out of a Blue Angel fighter jet at a huge hamburger in the middle of Manhattan. Shaft has always been infamous for it's art (See: Bakemonogatari) The art here is visually stunning. Not only that, the characters are beautiful drawn, and the faces the characters make during comedic moments are priceless too. Ranging from simple "Saitama" faces to Jojo-esque faces. Voice Acting: Not a single qualm here. Everyone's voice matched their characters to a T. Characters: You might need to sit down for this one. This might be one of the only times where I am fine with whoever the MC chooses. Everyone is extremely likable. The downside? They're all cliches. Ichijou Raku: Our MC. He's pretty much a generic dense motherfucker. That being said, he is likable too. The amount of shit he has to put up with, along with his kindness makes him a great character, even if he is the densest motherfucker on the face of this galaxy. Kirisaki Chitoge: Our female lead. Major tsundere (WOOHOO) but still, cliche. In the picture at the start, she's the blonde with the red ribbon. The chemistry that she and Raku has is insane, even though they (typically) deny that shit like someone just accused them of murdering an old lady. Onodera Kosaki: Ahhh yes, and now our Trinity Force is finished. Sheen, Zeal, Phage. Another cliche, the typical cute shy girl that is clumsy as FUCK and can't do SHIT but is still cute so it's okay. Brunette in the picture. The holy trinity, if you will. There are a few more grillz that want some of that Raku D (as typical of Shounen RomCom Harem animes like this) but those aren't as important as Chitoge and Kosaki. (With the exception of one, but that's spoilers.) Romance: DESPITE having MULTIPLE. PERFECTLY. FINE. GIRLS. THAT. ARE. CAPABLE. OF. MAKING. THE. SHOW. BETTER. IF. THEY. GOT. WITH. RAKU. Nothing happens. As typical of RomComs like these, there's always some fucking misunderstandings everywhere and you're like "HOLY SHIT IS THIS WHEN THEY KISS GOD BLESS RNGESUS" and then some shit happens that makes everything super fucking awkward. B L E S S E D U P Art: 10 Soundtrack: 10 Voice Acting: 10 Plot: 6 Characters; 8 Romance: 4 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9.5/10
Final Thoughts: Now, I have seen a lot of RomComs (believe me) But this one...There's something about it. The more and more I talk about it, the shitter it looks. Every other RomCom I reviewed here (Oregairu, Toradora, etc) Have all been mostly critically acclaimed for one thing or another. Oregairu with it's character banter and interactions, Toradora with the relationship between Taiga and Ryuuji, then there's this. All of the cliches in every episode, even down to the characters. Despite all that, there's just...something about this show. It has charm. Yes, that's it. Charm. This show has many flaws, but somehow, it's very easy to ignore those flaws and just get into the show, and just enjoy it. This probably just sounds like ranting and I'm all over the place and I'm not making much sense, but I really don't know how to explain it. There's just, something about this show. For any RomCom liker, give this a try. I can almost guarantee you'll like it. Also there's a season two that I'm in the process of watching so...

Review Of: Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (God's Blessing On This Wonderful World) Episodes: 10 Aired: January 14 2016 - May 17 2016 (That's today!) Genre: Humor, SupernaturalWe've finally come full circle lads. If you don't remember, I did a "first impression" thing waaaaay back in January when this show first started. Ever since then, I've been watching this shit the day it comes out. If I had to describe this show in one sentence, it's: Synposis: (TY based MAL): Kazuma Satou, a high school student, gamer and shut-in, died on an average day walking home from school, performing the one heroic act of his life. He reawakens in the afterlife, greeted by a beautiful but rude girl named Aqua, who claims to be a goddess that guides the youth whose lives got cut short. Aqua then offers him a choice: to go to heaven, or to get sent to a another world to defeat the Demon King. Of course, Kazuma's gamer instincts kick in, and he chooses to start a new life in a real-life RPG. There's one last choice Kazuma has to make: he is allowed the choice of one thing to take with him to the new world. After puzzling over it, he chooses...Aqua? Join Kazuma on his adventures as he tries to transfer his virtual gaming knowledge to real-life adventurer experience! My Thoughts On This: The moment I saw this synopsis, I just had to watch the show. Week after week, I tuned in, laughing my butt off. Three episodes in, I was in love, and then I found out it's only gonna be 10 episodes. Heartbreaking news aside, SEASON TWO SO ITS OKAY AYYY Plot: The plot overall, as stated in the synopsis, is to defeat the Devil King. In each episode however, the gang is always doing a quest unrelated to the matter at hand, which may sound like a bad thing, but it isn't, because it makes sense and is hilarious. It makes sense because they gotta grind their shit up before they fight the Devil King, and the quests are fucking hilarious. From Aqua, the goddess being stuck in a cage that is being mauled to shreds by huge alligators to catching flying cabbages (Yes, cabbages), this show never fails to amuse me. Soundtrack: The opening, I admit, is a bit generic at first, but it grew on me. The OST has a strange effect on me. It's the same thing I said with Nisekoi, the best OST's are the ones you don't notice. The problem is, from Nisekoi, I at least knew some of the songs. Here, I can't remember how any background track went, and I don't know if that's good or bad. Probably more good then bad. Voice Acting: Spot on. Kazuma always sounds super fucking done in each episode, Aqua is a high and mighty cunt but is still cute and awesome, Megumin is Megumin, best girl, and Darkness is...something special. An experience, if you will. Art: Bright, colorful, bubbly. The characters are all unique, their costumes are a bit lewd but I'm a guy so that's a + for me, overall great. Characters: Satou Kazuma: Our MC, or Mr. I hate life. This guy always sounds like he's ready to take himself out back and drink bleach, and I love it. He's a snarky, selfish asshole, but can still be a great guy. Isn't one of your dense MC's that get easily flustered. In fact, Kazuma is almost never flustered, and that makes him awesome. Aqua: Our goddess who is a total cunt and yet I love her. She's bitchy, bossy, thinks she's all high and mighty, and pitiful, but somehow, when you add all of those up, you get an amazingly lovable character. I don't know how, but that's just how it is. Megumin: HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG. BEST. GIRL. KAWAII. EXPLOSION. EXPLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSION. EXPLOOOOOOOOOOOOOSIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON.Darkness: A complete masochist that is both cringey and hilarious, and a model knight. A very...Diverse? Cast of characters? Yeah, diverse. They all make one party that literally jerks off and doesn't do jack shit. God bless. Humor: A perfect 10, the humor is spot on, and amazing. Final Score: Art: 9 Soundtrack: 9 Voice Acting: 9 Characters: 10 Humor: 10 Plot: 7 Enjoyment: 10 Overall: 9.9/10NOT PERFECT, but close. This show is great to watch when you're down in the dumps or you just want to relax and watch something funny. I would say, a must-watch for any anime watcher.

Review For: Nisekoi! (S2) Airing Date: April 10 2015 - June 26 2015 Genre: RomCom, Harem, Shounen Episodes: 12Well, this golden goose is over, and now I'm sad because I have nothing to watch now. Then again, there's always the manga... Anyway, let's review this. I already reviewed S1 like two days ago and I said that I thoroughly enjoyed it despite all of it's faults. I can safely say the same for this, however, the faults are MUCH bigger this time 'round. Plot: Pretty much the same as before, except worse. How can it be worse? How about, nothing happens? Yep, that's right, literally, nothing happens. The story with the locket/key does not progress, the war between Chitoge's gang and Raku's yakuza comes to a screeching halt for no reason, honestly, I really don't know what the plot here was. Wait, there was no plot. ayy lmao. Soundtrack: The same from last time, absolutely amazing. One thing I really like is the opening. Now, unfortunately, I can't seem to find the opening on Youtube because apparently Shaft does not like to have their openings on the internet, so you'll just have to watch the show yourself. Characters: There are only two things worth talking about here. One, Chitoge actually likes Raku this time 'round, but that really doesn't get explained until much later in the story and in the very beginning, in other words, episode one and 12, the first and last episodes. wew lad. The other thing is that, we have a new character! Remember Onodera? She now has a little sister that is a total dickdouche! Seriously, I hate her. She looks cute and call but she's sexist and a liar and delusional and AHHH Every episode that had her around the main focus had me going like this every few seconds: Sure, she got turned into a tsun and it was mostly okay, but that was later! The few episodes where she wasn't had me in agony. Other notable things were the introduction of Onodera's mother, a more in-depth look at one of the supporting characters and Raku's best friend, Shuu, and Hana, Chitoge's mom that had a splendid two episodes. I'm actually gonna cut this review short because everything is the same as last season except Characters and Plot. The romance...is not really worth talking about, because jack shit happens. The comedy this time around is around the same, although the first season had me in stitches, while this season just had me blow more air out of my nose then usual or chuckle. Score: Everything but Plot, Characters, and Romance: The same as season one Plot: 1 Characters: 8 Romance: 1 Overall: 7/10 N E V E R L U C K Y They, in my opinion, almost butchered the show. THAT being said, I still somehow liked it. It's weird, no matter how shit it sounds, I'll gladly rewatch this shit in a heartbeat. Maybe this is final proof I have bad taste? Maybe Shaft is using witchcraft to make me like this show? Maybe this show is actually good and I'm just a fucking retard? Who knows, but all I know is, despite what I just said, shit talking both seasons and characters and pretty much everything, I can fully recommend this along with the first season. Also, surprise, new update to my top 10 list ayyy. Top 10:10: SAO II (Mother's Rosario Arc only) 9: Seto No Hanayome 8. Konosuba! 7. Anohana/Clannad: Afterstory 6. My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU One and Too 5. Nisekoi: False Love and Nisekoi: Season Two 4. Shokugeki No Soma 3. One Punch Man 2. Steins;Gate 1. Toradora wew two new additions to the family sorry iDOLM@STER and Miyazaki films.
