Scoreboard section: A scoreboard section for both official Touhou and fanon Touhou games, if you want to create a thread for a game then that's fine as long as it's Touhou related, for non-Touhou things you'll have to ask an admin instead.
Basically going by the same format as on MoTK which is pretty much like this: screencloud.net/v/4zrN This format can differ for certain games because the playstyle might be different. The basic idea is to make a section named: "Akyuu's Records" which is for the scoreboard. A few things that're important for a scoreboard is to state the rules, for example: use the latest version; slowdown rate must not be more than 5% or the replay isn't allowed as well as needing default lives; not more or less. You can submit multiple scores for the same difficulty given that either your score for the shottype you used is improved or you used another shottype. The description for the section would be: "Highscoreboard for all your highscores" I guess, feel free to make it sound better but make sure it sounds obvious what the section is. Kind of an idea I thought of considering it would be very interesting to have a scoreboard here.

Sounds like a good idea to me, only thing I'd worry about is activity but I guess it can build up over time!

I'm pretty sure it will have an activity-boom at first and then slow down gradually for a while, Eientei is still a growing forum so I expect the activity to build up over time at some rate indeed. |

Having one member do all the work on the scoreboards would be very demanding, especially if there is an activity-boom when the scoreboards start up. It could also potentially take a while for scores to be added to the scoreboards. I think there's more convenient options than an MoTK-style scoreboard, such as a public spreadsheet. I don't know how feasible something like that really is, but in my opinion it would be much nicer to be able to add scores yourself, rather than creating a new post and waiting for someone to add it for every update.

I haven't really given the amount of mods for the board a thought, but I think around 3 (active) mods should be fine. |

Sounds interesting. Only concern is lack of activity. But perhaps it'll get people more interested in scoring.
..If anything, the lack of activity might ease some of the strain of constant scoreboard updates for the mods.
inb4 obligatory comment about how WRs are the only thing that matters and that western or community scoreboards are useless.

Would love to see hi-scoreboards implemented, also said in the suggestions thread a while ago I'd be happy to maintain a few of them. I know how annoying it can be when you post a score & the thread doesn't get updated.

I approve of the implementation. Currently, there's a thread designated to rating the proficiency and organizing each player by difficulty level achievements and accomplishments, why not capitalize on it?

Go for it you silly geese. The only true way to play shmups is to play them for score so not having a scoreboard is the same as kneeling before the lord proclaiming "Kyrie eleison, mea maxima culpa est not even scoring pls no eternal damnation ;_;"

I've thought a little about this; I'm also willing to moderate for the scoring board in case this idea gets approval, would be very nice to see people putting effort in their plays; going for scoring! Also, I'd like to make some list for people caring to volunteer: So yes, people who want to volunteer just have to say it here; I'll add them to the list. |

So is this a place where members post the highest scores they get for a game and we ist them all alongside each other?
If so I think this is a really cool idea, and I can't imagine how things can go terribly wrong especially if we have volunteers to help manage it.
(Also in that case I think it would be a good idea to move the achievement thread there too, btw.)

I also felt like allowing fangames too since certain ones are interesting to score in, for non-Touhou games I'd suggest asking a volunteer mod. (I suppose it's a good idea to move the achievement thread there too, that being currently in the Hakurei Shrine isn't quite exactly the best place if it could be in the new section.) As for listing, it would be done per Difficulty and Shottype, I might not have elaborated this enough but a quick look at MoTK's scoreboard or one in shmups.forums should give the general idea well enough too. |

The Hakurei Shrine board's description still says "Discuss anything Touhou related that spans the entire series here, such as high scores, favorite bosses, favorite stages, and general discussion about the games." The part about high scores should be removed since there is now a board dedicated to that.
