Apparently, not too long ago, Skype itself got hacked and a lot of user information got compromised. This includes passwords. One of Eientei's members already had someone enter his account and got infected with a spambot, which sent malware links to all his contacts. To ensure the security of all the members, we ask of all of you who have access to Skype that you change your password as soon as possible to ensure that no one breaches your account.Outside of that it's recommended to not click on any suspicious link that has been sent by your contacts. If your contacts on Skype receive any sort of message containing a link that you haven't sent, inform them to not click any link sent by you from the time being, change your password and run your antivirus, just in case. The article suggests that the exploit hasn't been patched yet, so I don't see why you'd change your password now while it can still be stolen (again). Wait until there is more information so we know when it is safe to change password.

In others case, you might as well because it could already have it. Also, the bot did send messages to people, and those who clicked links might also be in more immediate danger. You'd only have to change it again once the problem is fixed properly, so I'd suggest changing it to something temporary for now |
