As cool as all the new groups are, I still like the idea of post ranks for badges when you're not using a group badge. Gives the badges a bit more meaning, as well as being nice to show off how sad we are because we post too much Could you consider bringing them back, please? EDIT: This is alongside the group system, not replacing it.

I personally liked the ranking system too, although the group system is cool too!
Maybe if they decide to bring the ranks back they could improve them, I have a couple of ideas though.

Woops, I should have clarified - this should be alongside the group system, not to replace it. You can still be Patchy nameschonvergeben! Post count isn't very meaningful, but it's more meaning than "select a character from a list. great you have a badge of them now".

If the staff do decide to bring it back, here are some ideas:
1. Lower the thresholds a bit, I personally think the thresholds are quite high. Maybe lower Kappa (if they do keep this system) to 100 posts, Tengu to 250 posts, Oni to 450 and idol to around 800?
2. Possibly change the art, maybe use similar art to the group badges, as I think they look better and I think they would generally appeal more, although this is just me.
3. Maybe include more ranks after idol, maybe species like Yama, Lunarian, Saint, God / Goddess ect.

I agree Minako. Also as a minor thing that probably doesn't need its own thread, I think staff badges should have their rank as the text on them, rather than the staff member's name.

Though it's worth noting the ranks were originally based on SA difficulty settings (Easy (Fairy) < Normal (Kappa) < Hard (Tengu) < Lunatic (Oni) < Extra (Idol))

Is there a practical reason for this, by the way? (And for the other points we will have a talk about it as a group when we have the opportunity. A lot of us are very busy but will try and get back to you guys as soon as possible! Feel free to keep posting suggestions though.)

Gives the badges a bit more meaning, as well as being nice to show off how sad we are because we post too much Could you consider bringing them back, please? EDIT: This is alongside the group system, not replacing it. As I have said my view (to you), technically, the post rank idea is something I'm neutral towards. If it sees neutral to positive member reactions, I will carry this out, because there's no bad effect it may bring. Though, as high as the amount of bad effect, the benefits of a post-rank system are mostly void at this point, since most people are using group badges. If the staff do decide to bring it back, here are some ideas: 1. Lower the thresholds a bit, I personally think the thresholds are quite high. Maybe lower Kappa (if they do keep this system) to 100 posts, Tengu to 250 posts, Oni to 450 and idol to around 800? 2. This is good idea tho o: If we bring it back I'll surely take all of these into considerations~ Everyone else is welcome to post their opinions <3

Since the rank is also placed above the badges, there's no practical reason (other than so you can get rid of that text to make the miniprofiles slightly more compact). However I think it's more consistent to have the rank across all badges.

I honestly don't think consistency is a consideration at this point since the staff have happily decided to use non-touhou badges which is about as inconsistent as it gets as far as badges are concerned. xD To me it seems like a pointless endeavor, if the staff agrees on it, then we can carry it out when we have finished dealing with the more important issues, and have spare time. (Any staff member that has the free time to do this, should stop being lazy and talk to me for a job. I've got plenty to give and it's all posted on the to-do list on the staff board.)

Speaking of non-touhou badges, I disagree with using them at all. Both are only minor things though, I don't really care if you change it or not.

Just gonna say I don't want to remake all 35 of those badges to say Admin/Administrator over Alicia.
