Which game is harder - SA or UFO?

I think UFO is harder, but it may just be because it's the game that's currently whooping my ass.
At the very least, I found SA Normal harder than UFO Normal, but I find UFO Hard MUCH harder than SA Hard.

Okay honest answer though. I think UFO is harder. It's out of the question. Things like Shou and Byakuren easily outweigh the difficulty of Orin and Okuu.

Even the first three stages are way notably harder than SA's. Kogasa and ichirin are miles harder than Parsee and Yuugi.

You can get pretty much unlimited bombs and lives through the UFO system, combined with how UFOs are literally bombs themselves when they cancel bullets upon explosion. It has such a piss easy early game and stage 4 allows you to max out your lives even if you start at 0.
On the other hand, SA, is practically impossible. Think about that stage 1, to do that stage without dying and have enough power to handle stage 2 is nearly impossible due to the bullshit that is Yamame. It feels like a lottery simulator when she moves down on her first non-spell. Stage 5 has the hardest boss in all of touhou, Orin, with her impossible midboss spellcard that surely will take a few bombs and a life at minimum. And don't get me started on stage 6. The boss, a bird of some sort, is nearly impossible to beat. The hitbox on her suns are extremely confusing and if you bomb you will lose power, making the attacks even LONGER.
To 1cc SA is truly one of the greatest achievements in all of touhou."

They're both very easy. As it happens though, I have a tendency to be pretty bad at even the easiest things. SA however is almost entirely on auto-pilot for survival purposes and has 3 times as many lives as you'll need without even having to work for them so that one is probably the easiest by far. Static, slow and only very occasionally hard. UFO is also very easy, the reason I haven't LNN'd it yet is because every time i start a credit and see Nazrin, i go to write my fanfiction on her instead.

Speaking from the perspective of someone who isn't a superplayer however. UFO is probably the hardest one by far. It has all these difficult boss patterns that you need to do and the UFO system has players work for their resources.

I think UFO is hard for people who are not used to it, which is to say harder initially.

Then I do think SA is hard for the rest of the learning curve since you need to memorize the whole thing.

Obviously this is different depending on playstyle. But it's just my opinion up until normal mode.
