Putting my name down for "I'm interesting in writing reviews but not submitting entries." (yes I'm a leech) Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition? They are helpful, but not necessary. Without judges, we at least have more people participating (hopefully) Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : DNo. If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason? If I was going to participate, I would take it more seriously this time; but I don't enjoy writing so I think I'll just let others have fun with that part. I will definitely give reviews of all the entries though (I'll also read them all properly), and I hope what I say helps people with their writing. Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition?Yes.

- How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete?
Abstract subjects are fine, they're more fun to interpret. And by interpret I mean run a train of ARTISTIC LICENSE through. - Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how?
User reviews are given a 0-5 range, while judge reviews are given 0-10. 10 is too high of a range for people who prefer to rank their decisions on a subjective basis (me). - Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : D
Use fewer puns for round themes. Randomize entries from a previous round, then give to each writer to expand on. Mix abstract and concrete writing prompts in different rounds.
- Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition?
Yes.
For clarification, yes, I'm interested in this.

How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete? Either is fine for me, as long as it-'s something you can expand to in many ways
Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how? i'd say ranked for my preference, makes it easier to understand... but I guess score makes it more detailed, so on second score scoring would be best. Same as last one
Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition? Hell yes I do.
Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? Hmmm maybe have to topics per round? or even more interesting give everyone a different topic on private chats, mention the topics on the thread, and then laugh as we try to figure out who got which topic.
Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition? Yeah. Gotta get that casino back to work.
Are you interested? Hell yeaaaah I am!

How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete? There should be a pool of themes each round and a vote so that the majority would have a chance to decide the theme. That way, you can have both abstract and concrete themes there and let people vote for their favorites. Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how?I think entries should be criticizes in a constructive manner. This is also a great opportunity for people to improve their skills and you can't improve if you don't know where your weaknesses are. Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition?I think judge reviews are important but they're not a must. So I dunno, depends on people, I'd be okay with anything people choose. Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : DMaybe make the last round free themed. It would be fun to see what people would choose. If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason?I'm not sure if I will, depends on a lot of things, mostly free time. Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition?Yes. And I would suggest that you penalized people for mentioning what they wrote or giving hints on the chats since that kinda defeats the purpose. (Especially if we end up having judges.) LIES! GO AWAY!

How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete? I think the subject should be given like the previous writcom; but maybe we should have a vote of three subjects and the winner is chosen via voting.
Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how? I would have be given criticism than given a score. Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition? I don't think we require a judge review; I like peer review. Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : D Nope. If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason?
This is void and null since I'm intrested. Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition? Yes, I would rather have the anonymity system from the last one.

Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how?
Scored and Ranked by rate of the story.

I guess so.
Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler?
Not really..
If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason?
I don't know if I will.
Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition?

But of course I'm interested. I've been bugging you to start a second one since the first one ended.
How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete?
Concrete
Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how?
Just stick with the same system from the previous WriCom
Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition?
Yes please.
Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : D
Free theme round. And make the organizer suffer with us and write something too.
If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason?
but i'm going to participate
Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition?
Nope. Nope. Noooooooooooooooooooooope.

Writing competition. Hm. As long as the rounds are long, I'll join. Drowning in my own imaginations can be really fun. I would also like to have the chance to have my writing reviewed by a few people who's taste in writing is the kind I aspire mine to become like.
How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete? As a person that participated in the previous competition where the topics were fairly restrictive, I would love to have the subjects be decided with more freedom in mind. Practically, a popularity poll and a theme pool would be great, although it would depend more on the organizer's ability to come up with topics. Unless you make a thread for ideas too, which is also viable.
Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how? I think it would be pretty cool if each writer was allowed to choose how theirs would be marked. It would depend on the organizers to see how a competition might be able to work around that.
Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition? As I said in a previous question, I think it would be cool if the review/scoring/voting/whatever was tailored according to the wishes of each writer.
Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : D The points about flexibility as I mentioned above. I think it's more fun that way, since it feels less like an assignment and more of a talent exhibition. (Although I am also aware there are people who prefer a more concrete and rigid competition)
If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason? The reason I might not participate is if the rounds are really short and I can't get around to it due to my other commitments.
Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition? I would like for the system to be quite different from the one used in the previous competition. Mix things up a bit, and be creative, imo. Having each critisism/scoring etc system tailored to the wishes of each participant would probably avoid the need for a boring cut and dry system.

Ah, welp, someone beat me to it all well I'll submit entries and write reviews...Hopefully I'll actually remember to write good reviews this time.
How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete? I personally would love a more abstract thing. After all writing is an art to not be limited too much.
Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how? Constructive criticism and ranked please. Personally I'd like a 1/10 system again, nothing special just works.
Do you want to have judges and judge reviews for this competition? No, I would like it to be completely public based. As I know this is possible to have favoritism attached to it I believe you will get a fare score anyway and it's very obvious when most people give favoritism and I think the average score of the entry can be used instead of the favoritism score.
Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : D I have a somewhat odd idea that probably won't work well. But it's doing it like a draft when we randomly get to pick themes out of a pool of them. Let's say for example Aki1 Me2 Arya3 is the turn order, Aki goes up and ends up picking saay...Masquerade out of the pool, We now can't get Masquerade because Aki has it. I go next and pick erm...insanity, let's again say that the last option which Arya takes is um I don't know time travel. That's what we have to write for that round.
EDIT:Forgot to mention please allow M-rated things...pleeeease?
If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason? The reason why I wouldn't is because my muse is dead/too busy playing FE if
Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition? Personally I think the anonymity system was a useless task that didn't need to be done.

Replies on opinions, thanks everyone for contributions! (The Extra Package is well-loved this year) leeeeeeeeeech Have fun reviewing tho, looking forward to your reviews (cool) - Will you want your entry to be simply given criticism, or scored and ranked? If scored, then how?
User reviews are given a 0-5 range, while judge reviews are given 0-10. 10 is too high of a range for people who prefer to rank their decisions on a subjective basis (me).
(Score from 0-5, double it) :"> How should the subject be given? Will you want it to be abstract or concrete? There should be a pool of themes each round and a vote so that the majority would have a chance to decide the theme. If you are not going to participate in the competition, mind sharing with us the reason? I don't know if I will. How hesitant! We don't bite, the WriCom is to encourage everyone to have fun writing and competing with each other. Please feel free to write and join, writing is fun! (last time's winner is a writing noob and most of us here are not novelists it's okie~) Thank you for posting here~ Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : DFree theme round. And make the organizer suffer with us and write something too. Free theme round is topping the considered options right now. For the other idea, : DDDDD Do you have any other idea for the competition to be even cooler? : DI have a somewhat odd idea that probably won't work well. EDIT:Forgot to mention please allow M-rated things...pleeeease? Do you wish to retain the anonymity system from last competition?Personally I think the anonymity system was a useless task that didn't need to be done. The draft thing is interesting, I'll look more into it and see if we could apply that this time or next. c: The PG-13 line is more lenient on bloody gore than on sexual contents. (M is not okay tho) The anonymity system is to lessen the bias in scoring within members and also for fun stuff like guessing who wrote what. Bias cannot be eliminated, but by this mean we hope to lessen it as much as possible.
Anyway, after absorbing everyone's ideas, I've put up a Google Form that has some stuff directly related to the contents of the WriCom. Please do vote, as it is important!
