I have other types of show/book that I like more than anime and manga but for anime specifically:
1) Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Mainly because the story wasn't incoherent, and was told well, the characters were interesting and had depth and the soundtrack was fairly good (good enough to make me consider downloading it, at least).

1. Most favorite anime/manga
Anime: Clannad After Story. It's basically key-lock system. It fits.
Manga: Pandora Hearts. Awesome plots, excellent characters, great plot twists and mysteries and stuff, beautiful arts too. #BreakBreakBreak

Favorite Anime: Fate/Zero and Sengoku Musou
Why? Fate/Zero is so amazing to the point I found it to be a damn amazing story
Sengoku Musou is a recreation of Samurai Warriors 4, and is a good recreation. I could rant about how great it is, but I digress.

Anime: Level E is the only anime I will consistently recommend to anyone ever.
Manga: Yotsuba&! for Kiyohiko Azuma's fantastic background detailing. The cute characters are mostly a bonus. Really, most anything from that guy, but Yotsuba&! sticks out for me.

1. Your most favorite anime/manga
I swear to god, but my favourite anime of all time has to be Jojo Bizarre Adventures; I know right now it's sort of ended on part 3 but it's still a brilliant anime, of course it has it's faults with colours changing and lip syncing issues. But clearly the manga is better. But I do admit that it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Mah favorite anime? Kara no Kyoukai, it's got an intricate plot, interesting characters, probably the best antagonist of all time, Kajiura music and visuals a bit ahead of it's time, what's not to like?
Manga would be... Either Majin tantei Nougami Neuro (Demon detective Nougami Neuro) or perhaps Yandere Kanojo, and no, it's not that kind of yandere the "yan" in here has a more... delinquent connotation than the sick and creepy one the other one has.

Anime: Clannad/Clannad After Story Manga: Rozen Maiden Clannad is just incredible. I played the visual novel as well, and both have their merits. Anime is able to portray most (89% is my guess) of everything that happened in the visual novel, but since Tomoya is able to progress through everyone's route, he essential completes (almost) everyone. This means he has more friends during Nagisa's graduation ( Kotomi can never come to Tomoya's graduation it seems, so she won't be friends afterwards in the VN. ), and has friends afterwards in After Story, unlike the visual novel which makes it seem as if he didn't really have contact with his friends afterwards besides maybe Sunohara. Clannad is a bit more of an idealistic I guess version of the Visual Novel, while the Visual Novel is a bit more personal and waifu'ish I guess. ( Going in Kotomi's route means you're gonna end up dating her, unlike the anime ) And Rozen Maiden is just so... wow to me. Not the greatest manga, but I'd say it's pretty good. I love it. I haven't read it in a while, but I really have been contemplating re-reading it. The manga is... indescribable I would say. Maybe you'll like, maybe you won't is what I would recommend about it though. Should light novels be included in here too? |

Umm I think you are supposed to post one at a time... Some people don't have twenty days. I don't either but then I don't make that evident here specifically. I'll persevere here though because I want to see the funny answers to the last one. Favourite series: Monogatari. Because it's an emotional anime, as in, it provokes a lot of emotion. Mostly laughter, though when it gets dark it really hits you. It's also a very human anime with all the conversation that you want to listen to. It's also the most beautiful anime I've seen when Shaft isn't on an off (model) day. It is, quite often, but these flaws just add to the character of the whole thing. Really, it's truly great. |

First anime is probably Card-Captor Sakura, which belongs to the land of critical moe-ness and innocent cute adorable kiddo and shown on TV. All hail Lord TV of youth.
First manga is Doraemon, a famous children manga (probably not as famous for teenaged and adults Western manga readers which we have here)
