30 Days of Touhou Challenge!

Heh, it's not like anyone is bashing IN! It's certainly a pretty good game.

Yeah, Kaguya really steps it up, but she's still probably not the hardest final boss in the series on Lunatic (that title probably goes to Remilia or Byakuren). She's no slouch, though.

It felt really hard for me. It was way harder than EoSD and PCB hard modes. 

22. I don't know which is easiest. But from the modes I have cleared (Easy and Normal), it goes to IN.

Really? I felt those two weren't very tough, as well, but IN Hard folded the quickest for me.

Day 9 of ISC is hell.

Easiest Touhou Game?

At first I was going to say "hurr IN hurr durr hurrrrrr" but then Zak made a good point...

So I'm going to say that Scarlet Weather Rhapsody is the easiest.

I'd say Hisoutensoku, the computer AI is horribly stupid.

Pfft. Fight me and I'll show you if it's button mashing or not.

22. Easiest Touhou Game
Going by the main series (since I don't play much of the side games), assuming subjectively optimal setups (best shot type for clearing, max starting resources, etc), with the objective of 1ccing, based on purely personal experiences and preferences, and separated by difficulty, I'd say:

Easy - Imperishable Night. Although LLS Easy has easier bullet patterns, I have to admit that IN wins here because TOO MANY RESOURCES and Netherworld Team's Hold-Shift-To-Skip-Stages Yuyuko being as broken as it sounds.

Normal - Lotus Land Story. IN is out of the competition because patterns got a lot worse on Normal. TD Normal patterns are harder than LLS Normal imo and TD is definitely stingier with resources, so LLS wins.

Hard - Lotus Land Story. LLS continues to have easier patterns than the other games. Heck, I'd say LLS Hard is easier than SA Normal >_>. There's seriously no competition on LLS being the easiest on Hard imo.

Lunatic - Story of Eastern Wonderland. Huh, where did SoEW come from? Well, the stage sections are the same as Hard, except for suicide bullets, which aren't really a big deal if you can stream all the time. From the bosses, only Marisa is a serious threat. Then again, the same could be said for LLS, where Marisa/Reimu are the biggest threats, but I just find LLS Lunatic to be very slightly tougher than SoEW Lunatic overall.

Extra - Perfect Cherry Blossom. You get plenty of resources (especially as SakuyaA), and most of Ran's spells are pretty simple. Her main roadblocks, Wizard-Fox Thoughts and Ultimate Buddhist, are very easy to capture once you figure them out, while her tougher spells like Charming Siege from All Sides and Unilateral Contract can be brute-forced through bombs/borderbreak. Princess Tenko is the only really significant challenge that you need to learn, but that's still much less than the demands of other Extra Stages.

23. Hardest Touhou Game

Toughest one I've played is definitely UFO, but the patterns of that game are so great and engaging that I put a bunch of effort in capturing the vast majority of what's encountered in Hard, so that's something to feel good about! Lunatic will be a new frontier...
