Hi. I forgot that I made an account here about five months ago. Might as well introduce myself properly.
I go by SoulfulLex on most forums. Lex, otherwise. It's hard for me to say when I've actually gotten into Touhou, or if I'm even into it at all since I've yet to play any of the official games. I've read through most of the game stories and a few of the books, so I know the general story.
I'm mostly into Touhoumon, which I got into back in 2013-ish. It was back when Touhoumon Purple was still Emerald 1.8 and being worked on, that much I know. Since then, I've been mostly active on the forum there, as well as actively looking for other Touhoumon variants, so I'm a bit of an enthusiast on that end.
Besides Touhoumon (and working of Touhoumon Gaiden), I like playing SRPGs, watching runs of hard games/ROM-hacks, Dungeon Crawlers, and just having fun in general.
...That's all I got.

Hi Lex nice to meet ya I'm Vex, I play touhoumon two, haven't won one yet though. I'm getting pretty close to AW though, so any advice for E4 and beyond?

You don't have to play the official games to get into Touhou. The music was what got me hooked in the first place so I get that c:

I'm getting pretty close to AW though, so any advice for E4 and beyond? Truth be told, I never finished Another World myself. However, last I checked the E4 in that game only really has 3 members to look out for: Agatha, Lance, and the Champ, since they all have ZBoneka (or Z Puppets. Brief reminder that they have 900+ BST.) I can't say that you should just grind to a high level since it can really take the fun out of fights later on (and it eventually catches up to you once you're in postgame). I also don't know your play-style / team setup (i.e. what strategies you like to use). Me? I prefer coverage puppets. Some that can hit hard and fast. Others that can take more than a few hits, heal it off, and finish off the rest. I remember beating Enhanced with Chen, Shou, Yuuka, Patchouli, Utsuho, and Tenshi (after leveling up to about Lv. 55 or so and EV-training them). Not sure that I'd get the same results in another Touhoumon. On another note, I rather like ZephyrValgale's attempt at updating 1.5. I think it was long overdue for a Physical/Special split, even if it means that some more issues will arise because of it (i.e. Youmu's Shadow Ball no longer being Physical, which is important since EXYoumu has 110 Attack and 55 Special Attack). If PSS were applied to the other 1.5 hacks, it wouldn't fix the overall balance and power-creeping issues, but I feel that's something to talk about in another topic. |
