This is a thread where you can suggest your favorite Touhou fanfics.
Please don't post or link your own fanfics here, leave that for the Creative section. Two of my favorite fanfics are: Fragile Wonderland by Mirror Contagion. This fic does a really good work developing the characters and it's a great example on how can make characters act OOC without making it sound or look awkward. It's Marisa-centric but not in excess, other characters play an important role too. The story is also very engaging and well constructed. I had to keep myself from reading the whole thing in one go. Warning though: Characters die here. I've had my heart crushed already. The Dollmaker's Daughter by UnmovingGreatLibrary . Yes, it's MariAli, but before y'all start rolling your eyes, their relationship isn't the focal point. This is the story of a Shanghai doll that became sentient and narrates how she became progressively aware of that and how Alice and Marisa cope with that. This is one of the authors I really admire because of their ability to narrate things in a clear and entertaining fashion. The first chapter and the second are an excellent example on how to introduce and make an OC likeable. Seriously, the doll is my favorite character in that story and you know how much I love Marisa. |

Touhou Death Files: Reimu HakureiThe author says it's a hatefic, but I'm pretty sure he loves the series. XD Anyway, this fic houses a more morbid outlook of Gensokyo. There are violent and gorey descriptions in this fic. And of course character death. Proceed with caution.
