Hello, I've just started playing Touhou for just a month, even I stayed at the fandom for 2 years.
I have some problems while grinding bullets before the boss, I usually crash into something and lose my lives.
Also, I don't know that what time should you hold or not hold Shift. I know that you shouldn't do it at some parts.
I see many people play Touhou in Lunatic and get their 1cc. I wonder about how they do it.
Should I spam bombs before the last stage?
Edit: I beated TD and DDC in Easy Mode, I did lose my 1cc but it's worth a month for playing it.

Practice. The majority of these Lunatic clears from other players stem from ages of practice playing the games a ton. Practice the stuff that you have trouble with via a practice patch and/or stage practice ( and spell practice if your game has that). The more that you practice the less you will find yourself making silly mistakes and in turn also learning to use shift effectively and managing your resources.

After I beat them in Easy Mode, I'll try to Normal, then Hard. I also play spin-offs too.
I'll go play TD in Normal Mode or maybe try to beat HSiFS because I haven't finish it.

I watched it and I was like WHAAAAATTTT.
That's why Cirno is a 9.
I don't think I'll be playing older games since my computer wouldn't handle it.
I want to try MoF but it didn't work.

I beated DDC for a second time and lost my 1cc. I just found out that there's a Spell Practice.
Now, my problems are Seija's last spell and some of Shinmyoumaru's spellcards.
I try to practice them like ten times so I could understand each of them.
I also try to hold my controls very tight so I won't be making stupid mistakes like crashing into random things, I usually have that problem in TD.
Grinding is fun until you lost your lives, especially in DDC because you get a lot of bonus items.
I also wanted to try classic Touhou games like MoF or IN but the game would broke because I’m using windows 10.
People keep saying that older games is easier than new games because ZUN left some safe spots for you.

If you are using windows 10 then you will want to download Vpatch to make games 6-10 work.

Ok, I’ve beaten like 4 games in easy mode: TD, DDC, ULiL and HSiFS.
I defeated Okina today, I gotta day that I understand more spell cards technics.
I used to lose at Okina’s last spell but luckily, I decided to use bombs instead of losing my life. Which mean “if you can’t handle it, destroy it”.
I also want to do that in DDC and TD,too. I wanted to use that technique with Seija’s last spell and most of Shinmyoumaru’s spellcards.
Now, I’m about to beat AoCF and replay those 4 games in normal, or practice them again.
Only if I have some time for it.
