HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE I think the theme being seasons as well as the characters being designed around it seems like an interesting idea. That said, no Sanae nor Sakuya makes me a bit sad  Probably will either use Reimu or Aya. Also I wonder what will be of PD mode. I dont think this game has it. Probably. |

No playable Sakuya is painful And nope, the game won't have Pointdevice. Not confirmed, but ZUN has said before that he doesn't intend to do it again. |

First off, the border, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Moving on, I like the artstyle change, the stronger colours and lines fit ZUN's less-than-anatomically-accurate style of drawing a lot better than DDC/LoLK colouring IMO. Aya playable is really cool, and she oughtta at the very least be Marisa speed, Aya at a standard speed of 4.5 is just wrong. Shot options look really interesting this time around, with what looks like main options and smaller suboptions of some kind. No clue how that's gonna work.

In all seriously, it's absolutely gorgeous and I'm grateful for the simplification of the next installment in the franchise. I didn't play LoLK due to its mechanical complexity compared to the usually simple nature of Touhou.

EoSD is supposedly a simple STG and you know how the scoring works. DDC was also supposed to be a simple STG. So expect control flipping bomb glitching 2.0 RNG books shenanigans. |
