I'm curious, to those here who score, or play survival a lot for a specific category...
Don't need to have played more than one at once, or even more than one a lot - even one just a little, enough to draw conclusions on a category is enough.
What's your favorite category and why do you enjoy it?
I don't think I've tried enough categories to really answer this myself. So I'll just say I enjoy survival less than scoring because scoring is more complex.

Conversely, I prefer survival over scoring because I don't need to worry about screwing up one major route in a survival run and still manage to 1cc.
I don't really have a particular game that I prefer, however. Each game has its own charm to me. I enjoy playing just about all of them.

I prefer survival, it's obviously easier and I'm more satisfied by not dying than having big numbers ont the right top corner haha.
I think my preferred Touhou for survival is SA, but I also enjoy MoF a lot.

I've only ever tried survival, but from the looks of it, I don't know if I'd enjoy scoring too much in most games, since it seems pretty complicated. Although some things do look interesting, and I might try scoring eventually in some of my favorite games.
My favorite game for survival might be TD, since I've played it so much, but I like UFO just as much as it. I just need to practice it more. :v
