Reduce input delay in EOSD?

Is there any way to remove the input delay EOSD has? Because i am so so so sick beyond what words can describe losing entire runs to stupid crap like the game not recognizing my bomb input in time, its so stupid. Or stupid crap like you run into a bullet because the game doesn't recognize you let go of the left key in time. Or really many more situations i can describe. So please, if there is some way to not have input delay in this game without applocale as my computer doesn't run applocale i'd be very appreciative.
