Didn't watch your replay since I'm not currently on my computer, but I recommend you just practice the spots in which you had the most trouble. :) I assume Stages 4 and 5 are the culprits, so perhaps take some time to get used to those stages, then go for the 1cc again.

ReimuA isn't that bad of a shot, so don't worry too much. She makes stages easier, though her bosses are a bit worse compared to the high power shots. 
If you bomb with ReimuB's bomb point blank, it'd do a lot more damage compared to bombing away from the boss.
Stage 4 as a whole has a lot of streaming sections.

Welcome to the flock, let's see if we can't help you get stronger at this game eh?! You're indeed correct in your thinking that ReimuA is a weak shot, because she's pretty bad. I like to see a newbie using the more powerful direct shot types because those are the ones that will give you the best results if you use them properly.

The thing is though, as of now you don't. You don't seem to have a very good grasp on the controls yet which is something that takes time to develop, so hang in there. I saw you burn a lot of resources on patterns where I think you could probably follow what was going on, but just lacked the confidence in your movement to go through. You also don't seem to know the stages very well yet, so try to work a little on that.

Remember that enemies will always come from the same places every time so you can kinda create yourself a little path through the stage that will let you avoid dangerous situations entirely, or at least as much as possible. Try to make a plan that lets you go to the top of the screen sometimes to gather up all the items since you get extra lives at 10,20,40 and 60m if i'm not mistaken. 60 million isn't a lot of points so don't feel scared about it. Also I'd recommend turning off the extra lives you start with, normally people consider these extra lives to be training wheels and for clears to be done using them to not really count, but if you insist you can keep using them, you won't be judged for it. Using training wheels is legit.

Another thing i noticed is that you failed to kill the midboss on stage 5 which means you didn't get the extra life she holds for you. I'd recommend checking up a replay for general paths through the game and strategies for patterns. You'll learn that they make a world of a difference!

Also, are you using vsync patch? Its a patch that can eliminate input latency that will otherwise really mess with your dodging and make it a lot worse than it needs to be.

Thanks for the help, i tried streaming the things that shoot 6 bullets at you at a time in stage 4, for some of them it worked, but some of them i got hit. So not ALL of those fairies can be streamed, or at least not horizontally. Also yea in regards to the stage 5 midboss i used to just cheeze it by staying up top, but then i learned if you kill it you get an extra life so i tried to play it legit, then i learned its almost impossible to kill in time as her misdirection spell card does not give you enough time to break it.

Tried your tip on misdirection, still can't break it. Ugh why does that stupid spell card have such a strict time limit.

I can relate, tbh, that card gives me trouble a lot as well. Just keep trying and eventually it'll click.

Ok I mastered misdirection, tried to 1cc the game with the standard 3 lives and you want to know what happened. I lost, with exactly 1 second remaining on the timer of Remilias last spell. It hurts so badly, i experienced the 5 stages of grief in 5 seconds flat and my chest hurts.

1 second left on the timer? You are supposed to shoot her down way before you get to that point yo. Here's a piece of advice that might help. Use stage practice until you can capture every attack at least once, that way you'll get a better picture of what to use your resources on which may help with preserving some of them so you have more room for error, not wasting bombs on things you can do and stuff.

Sounds like you are closing in though, so you should keep trying. Almost there.
