This is a thread for a possible playthrough of Final Fantasy

The Warrior of light until Dissidia had to turn them into a shitty OC. Anyway... He (or maybe she, it's a stretch) is a tank who can also deal damage well. They use the heavy armor that all the other classes can't really use, and takes like a mofo and then stabs everything in the face to make them explode. Yep. They have high HP, can wear the strongest armor, and not afraid of anything. Later on in the game, they can class change into the (wo)manly Knight, which is like the Warrior but better because they can use all armor that isn't made out of cloth, as well as a lot of weapons, and they gain access to levels 1 and 2 white magic. I mean that's okay I guess.
The Warrior likes Swords. and axes, and shields to block the poison running in their veins, and staves, and hammers. But mostly Swords.


The Thief is the fastest fighter we have, being able to match a TIE Interceptor in speed. They can run really fast, and that somehow translates to swinging a sword fast. However, what they gain in speed they lose in defense and HP, so they're noticeably frailer than the Warrior. Still, they're a pretty good melee unit to have, and their innate ability to boost run-away chances does come in handy at times. Turns into a Ninja because why the fuck not, gains access to black magic levels 1 to 3, which is pretty sweet.
The Thief likes light weaponry, eschewing pure brute force for finesse, so they have a smaller selection of swords and knives than the Warrior. Also they can use light shields.



The Monk, the cliche saturday morning anime protagonist of the group. He starts out weak and frail, compared to most, however later on he turns into a power house. Because of an accident when he was a kid involving a banana, string, the King James Bible and a copy of the classic James Bond movie From Russia With Love, he developed a severe hatred for Shields and Armor, and he lost his rank as Black Belt, so now he gets a power bonus whenever he doesn't wear any armor at all. Yep. Turns into a Master later, because things don't die fast enough, apparently. Fun Fact: I haven't actually used Monk.
He can use Nunchaku, some Corsairs, but his real weapon is his fists because he can double attack with them.



The White Mage, the androgynous-est character in Final Fantasy and in all of gaming ever. You thought Faris was bad? Anyway, White Mage. White Mage has a robe. And hair that's brunette in the picture but hir sprite in game CLEARLY shows blonde. Anyway, heals one person with Cure spells, heals all with the class exclusive... Heal spells, revives, buffs, only person to get natural non-weapon given Dia spells to kill zombies, gets Holy. Yep. Turns into a White Wizard later on because s/he likes healing so much. Yep.
S/he uses staves a lot, and hammers, and i think some flails. Yep.


The Black Mage. Vivi before Vivi existed. Has the defense of wet toilet paper, sadly. Has only robes and a few armors, but nothing else, really. Has useless debuff spells, has useless status effect spells, has useless one hit kill spells, has access to Slow, Temper, Flare, three of the bestest spells in Final Fantasy 1. Yep. Likes to fling elemental spells most of the time. Turns into a Black Wizard because better killing.
uses staves, knives, and cat claws.


The Red Mage, the fucking pimp of the group. Look at that beautiful hair and hat. AND THEN BRAVELY DEFAULT RUINED IT. Anyway, red mage. He saw that the two schools of magic were cool, and that warriors were cool too, so he said "hey let me get in on that," so he can use Black, White, and Weaponry. Unfortunately because he isn't focused, he isn't as good at any of them as the others are, still it's nice to have someone cast stuff and not take much damage. Turns into a Red Wizard and his hat gets so fucking awesomer. You're a wizard Harry.
Like I said, he can use swords and shields, but not as good as warrior can.
