I went to Otakon 2015 dressed as tewi and felt like nobody fucking knew who i was, save for a few kind of creepy people shouting tewi's name at me and the photoshoot. i don't really know where those photos went, though. being around the 15~ other fans was still pretty cool even if they were a bit wacky
there was also absolutely NO touhou merch for sale, no figures, no posters, nothing, besides the soundtracks, which i bought. i got looked at funny by the cashier because he thought i was too young to know what touhou is
i can only imagine the pain for the more obscure cosplayers, such as mamizou. "you're such a cute raccoon!!!!!" lol
