LoLK got announced today (as the abbreviation of Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom is) and it'll be a main-game. So it won't be a phantasmagoria. You can find the post announcing LoLK here: kourindou.exblog.jp/22976576/ You can see all of the screenshots of LoLK here: kourindou.exblog.jp/iv/list/index.asp Those're all from ZUN so they're official sources. LoLK apparently is going to have a save function because the game is going to be very long, there is currently speculation about a Perfect Mode or a Flawless Mode which might explain why there's "Disabled" at the lives in a few of the screenshots. Another explenation could be that IN last spellcards make their return. Playable characters are Reimu, Sanae and Reisen. I think Marisa was also mentioned (so don't worry) but haven't seen any material involving her yet. I think she was confirmed for playable though. Reisen being playable; I think the moon will be involved, good chance LoLK will be a reference to IN. A few references: Reimu has a mocchi pounder in the title screen, Reisen's description is ""The moon's power can only be opposed using the very same. Eirin's medicine possesses the power to make its drinker experience the future." that is what I got from Mino atleast. And the disabled thing feels a lot like an IN reference too. Demo's gonna be fun. Going to mess around on Hard/Lunatic with Sanae when I get it.
When the full game comes out, I'll 1cc it on Normal first before moving onto Hard and maybe Lunatic.

I wonder what Reisen's shots will be like.
I'd imagine either very forward focus since a lot of her danmaku from IN were based on gun bullets/her projectiles from Soku went straight forward often, or something more radial, since she fired a lot of rings of bullets in that game.

Very interested in new Touhou games. Excited to see Reisen as playable and looking forward to see what sort of shottype she might come along with. I always play the shots that I find to be the most optimal for what I'm doing so I hope she's good in it.
I am curious to see more about what the mechanics are gonna be like, although i expect I'll probably be going for survival runs as usual since I see a graze counter in there!
