Decided to make my own challenge thread as well, as I feel they are a fun way to bring everyone together in friendly competition! Although, for these, focus on meeting the conditions rather than beating eachother, but you are welcome to do either, or both if you wish! There are no drafts for this challenge. It is open to everyone!MINO'S CHALLENGES: Edition I
Game: Imperishable Night
Challenge Rules:
Capture as many Spellcards as you can!
You may use any shot type you wish!
Difficulties: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Lunatic are allowed! (Sorry, Extra fans!)
Only 1 credit on the run! So if you gameover, just put the stage number you lost on in the formatting!
Formatting (Please post your challenge replies in this format):
Difficulty - Name - Shot type - Score - Spellcards Captured - Stage (Use C if cleared) - Percent Slowdown - Replay Link
Example:
Hard - Mino - Border Team - 1,000,000,000 - 30 - C - 0.00% - Replay
So, without further ado! Enjoy! What better way to start off than with the game that Eientei is named after! Note: At the end of the game, the results screen will tell you how many spells you have captured. DEADLINE: Saturday, May 2, at 12PM UTC time (DEADLINE REACHED! CHALLENGE IS OVER!)
These will be ranked by spells captured. Tiebreaker is score. (Sorry guys! It's still a survival challenge, but it's the only reasonable tiebreaker there is x.x)

Also, you are welcome to improve your submissions (or post to another difficulty) as long as the deadline hasn't been reached. This allows you to take back your spot if someone beats you, and encourages fun and friendly competition.  |

Okay! After some thought, someone convinced me to allow FinalA to the challenges. Since FinalA would only really handicap you by giving you less spells to capture, it wouldn't give it an edge against FinalB unless you happened to be better at FinalA overall! So feel free to choose any route you want! |

Both of these FinalB runs if it helps to indicate that. Assuming its alright to post for multiple difficulties since I don't see it mentioned anywhere as to why I shouldn't. Normal - Prinny - Border Team - 2,212,616,180 - 27 - C - 0.080% - Replay - ScreenshotLunatic - Prinny - Netherworld Team - 2,553,666,930 - 15 - 6b - 0.000% - Replay - ScreenshotRuns I managed to get before I focus on EoSD. Border team run is pretty much my excuse to see if I could beat my previous score I had with that shot-type on normal. Some screw ups in that run, but I can't remember where. I doubt I'm going to capture any more spellcards in the lunatic run. If I do get a better run later, its mostly because I intend to beat my current best score I have for lunatic with the Netherworld team. Can potentially get a run that enters stage 6 at 2 billion with my current routes. Just need to avoid being too reckless. |

After failing Eirins first 2 spells I thought I was retarded for doing FinalA but then I capped Apollo13 and Astronomical Entombing even though I have shit caprates on both of them :V Maybe I'll improve this later, there were some dumb things. Lower difficultys later  Also pls no scorebully ;_; |

Stuff I managed today. Not sure if I'll improve these. Will most likely focus on EoSD this week. Easy – Prinny – Border Team - 1,882,677,930 – 28 – C – 0.041% - Replay - ScreenshotHard – Prinny – Netherworld Team – 2,588,282,390 – 22 – C – 0.000% - Replay - ScreenshotMain screw up in the easy run was Keine's final spellcard. Ended up deathbombing because I was risking myself too much for time orbs. Couldn't really get a good feel for Eirin's midboss spellcard in this run either. Had plenty of resources at the end and survived the last spell rush. Edit: Huh. This is probably the first successful no miss run I can think of that I currently have with Touhou... The hard run could have been better. Notable screw ups at stage 4 and 5. Could probably go after a few more spellcards, but I'm not sure if I'll have the time. The last spell rush could also have been handled a bit better since I screwed up more than I wanted to at that part. |

Not too bad of a Remi solo, considering I haven't played IN for months and haven't played touhou for 2 weeks. But for a normal progressing to hard player, its pretty terrible, lol. |

I would enter, but I'm too much of an idiot to know how to upload replays (I sort of do, but I sort of don't). Use replays.gensokyo.org/Click upload, find Imperishable Night, then to choose your file you want to go to your IN folder, open the 'replay' folder inside that, and pick the replay that you saved. They are numbered/ordered in the same way they are in the game so if you aren't sure which one, just check the number in-game. |
