Hardest Final Spell of a Final Boss?

I agree that Virtue of a Wind God is hardest. Even with Marisa broken it's still tough.

Agreed that it is insane.

Apparently, it's harder on easy than normal. I want to see for myself, but f***ing Nitori's final non-spell and stupid stage 4 enemies!

I don't really get why people find Scarlet Gensokyo hard at all. Might just be because I have above average random dodging skillz.

But yeah, VoWG is just...no. But I hate Subterranean sun as well, that gravity.

Yuyuko's timeout has a simple pattern, so yeah, I agree. VoWG can drag on at times. XD

MoF/DVoWG, because I'd be able to 1cc MoF easy if it wasn't for that thing.

Why is Sumizome Perfect Blossom listed instead of Resurrection Butterfly? And "Sukuna" is her family name, so "Shinmyoumaru" would be more appropriate and would also be consistent with the other names listed.

Nitpicks aside, this really depends on the difficulty being considered. Virtue of Wind God gets the most votes but I doubt many players find Normal Mountain of Faith as being the hardest final spell on Normal. In any case, I voted based on Hard Mode because the names implied Hard/Lunatic and I haven't encountered many Lunatic final spells. I also didn't consider Subterranean Sun or Flying Saucer since I haven't faced them yet.

From the Hard spells, I definitely find Hourai Jewel as being the toughest to capture. The familiars fire a lot of aimed bullets at once and most shot types have a hard time destroying the familiars quickly enough. The circular bullets from Kaguya also get into the annoying pattern really early on, making the streaming really tough. Even worse, she has boss armor for the first 42 seconds, forcing you to survive for that long (streaming begins at around ~15 seconds in). And even after the boss armor breaks, you'd still be streaming around so taking all her HP out would take some time (unless you're using somebody like Remilia, but good luck with killing the familiars with Sakuya then).

For reference, it took me 148 tries with Marisa Solo (none of the other shots even came close to capturing) to capture Hourai Jewel. On the other hand, I captured Virtue of Wind God in only my second encounter (first one being a blind attempt filled with panicbombs). So at least, based on my own personal experience, Hourai Jewel is definitely the toughest Hard final spell for me.

If I had to rank them by difficulty while assuming Hard Mode, then imo Hourai Jewel > Scarlet Gensokyo > Divine Virtue of Wind God > Seven Issun-Boshi > (Resurrection Butterfly) > Astronomical Entombing > Newborn Divine Spirit > Perfect Blossom

Also, we should consider PC-98 final patterns too...

Scarlet Gensokyo by far. VoWG is hard, but it's also a static formation that splits in different orders. Due to that nature, it's predictable if you play it long enough. Granted, I still suck at the spell, but I know people who can time it out every time now because of how much they played it.

Scarlet Gensokyo on the other hand is highly random and can give really dumb walls (see Gil's MarisaA EoSD Lunatic run). It doesn't appear that rank even effects it too much. While most of the time it is tame, there's always that risk of a crazy wall, so I put this one on the top.

I would have chosen Pc-98, for Yuuka's final. But I hear it's very memorizeable. LFS is also pretty pesky, but apparently there's also memorization that can go on in that spell.
