I'm revising my list, woo.
1. Samurai Warriors 4/Chronicles 3/4-II Probably one of the best musous I've played, very well balanced and all the characters are likable to an extent. The only problem with it is that there are a lot of glitches in Chronicles 3 2. Okami When Clover Studios was still around, they made this game. Flawless, excellent history telling, horrible ball pushing physics. If you want to know about ancient Japanese history, this game delivers. 3. Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence Tired of playing Shogun II, but don't want to play Total War? NA:SoI is a game which includes both, where you take over Japan featuring the different warlords of Japan, including Nobunaga, Kenshin, Shingen and Masamune. Also the best way to learn about history, in my opinion. Better than reading Wikipedia pages. 4. Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes This game is not a Musou, but it's so fun that I consider it the red headed stepchild of them. SB3 is the only other English Basara game, other than Devil Kings. And trust me, it's a lot better than that piece of shit. Plus, SB3 has excellent characters, save a few and excellent game play. Why can't capcom make good games anymore?
special mentions to Hyperdimension Neptunia and Warriors Orochi 3 as well Persona 4 too, but these things happen

We Love Katamari: If there is one game that I love for being pure wacky fun, this is it. I love the colors, the atmosphere, the music... THE SCREAMS OF THE INNOCENT I ROLL UP! BWAHAHAHAHA! I have even tied with world records for size, and got close for time. But if you don't find rolling things up fun, then... why are you playing this game? The World Ends With You: What a wonderful way to show character development. What delicious art style and map travel. What an amazing battle system that lets me fight the way I want to. A game that makes me like rap MUST be good. I can see how people who aren't into "angsty" games wouldn't be able to sink into this game, however.

I'm not going to provide an extensive elaboration to my choices, nor am I asserting these nominations are superior to any other, other than my nostalgic value and enjoyment I've derived from my experiences. Excluding Touhou, this is the following- #3: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Seeing so many Metal Gear Solid fans around makes me so happy C:

I completely recall extremely enjoying the mechanical depth and versatility the game offered, and the emotional and dynamic story, characterization, and development it too provided. Additionally, it was a game that my mother enjoyed watching me play because of its amazing story.

I got Metal Gear Solid, the first one, on my birthday and I was a kid. Granted, I had played the demo of the game before and really, really wanted the full version of it. I was completely invested in the story and the characters, even the villains had their own reasons and motivations to do what they did and you couldn't help but to sympathize with them at times. It's the game I've replayed the most, really. It fills me with nostalgia. I'm kinda sad that there won't be more of them done by Kojima.

Golden Sun: The Lost Age. The gameplay system is really good (Djinn and classes, and with how you have so many options in battle, etc). I also really loved the story and characters, but tbh it was likely because I didn't encounter a lot of amazing video game stories back when I first played it. I'm actually more attached to the MegaMan Battle Network series than Golden Sun, but as far as individual games are concerned, Golden Sun: The Lost Age is first in my heart.

Provisional List Undertale [No doubt] Binding of Isaac [Every Game is different] Shadow of the colossus [Most Epicness] Dissidia Final Fantasy (vanilla/012) [Easy gameplay for a Fighting game which I use to dislike, nice story and a lot of customization] Super Ghost's n Ghouls [Hard Arcade Plataformer (kinda tied with vvvvvv and Super meat boy (not a big fan of memorize or die games))] Dragon Quest IX [good customization and a lot of extra stuff, also coop and free dlc] Majora's Mask [Good Story and Creepyness (kinda tied with Yume Nikki which is also the weirdest game I've ever played)] The world ends with you [Nice Story, customization and Best use of Touch Screen] Touhou Launcher [best touhou game by far]
Honorable mentions: Kingdom Hearts, God of war, Ape Escape, Ratchet and Clank, Mario (2d/3d/kart), Warioware, Minecraft (with mods)
And I haven't played some game franchises I want to play like Metal Gear, Resident Evil, Bioshock, DMC, Fire Emblem, Castlevania, Metroid, Mass Effect, Halo, Fallout, Elder Scrolls or Dark Souls like so this list might change

(The voice acting is a lot better in the PSX original, but graphics are obviously better on GC.)

My Favorites List
Super Mario World: My first ever exposure to Mario games. Fantastic gameplay, exploration elements with secret exits, and overall a lot of fun especially with Yoshi. The only flaw is that capes are OP and even Yoshi himself is OP. It's also much easier compared to any of its predecessors, ESPECIALLY Lost Levels (to this day, I still haven't cleared it).
Sonic Colors: I'll begin by saying I love Modern Sonic gameplay, and I wish to see this gameplay style make a return in future games. Colors for me was staple in both its presentation and its gameplay. There's nothing too complicated or frustrating unless you're going for specific Red Rings. Overall it's a lot of fun and I loved Unleashed and Generations as well. This game stands out the most to me, though.
Animal Crossing: Back in my middle school days, I spent a LOT of time on this game. Something just seems so appealing to me, whether it's character interactions, catching a new bug or fish, or paying a visit to a special NPC on a particular day. I'm also very fond of collectibles in games, so there's that. There's just so much to do in AC. I've played this game for years for a reason.
Super Smash Bros: Not the original N64 (I've never played it). I'm using this term to group the games I've played as a whole, whether it's Melee, Brawl or the most recent 3DS/Wii U Smash. It's just a blast to play with friends. Even the single player modes are a lot of fun and provides a nice challenge.
Earthbound: Man, if there's an RPG that stands out to my heart, it's Earthbound. So much love was put into this game, and it's so funny too! What other game makes you fight exploding trees or scalding coffee cups? And you're not some stereotypical hero either, you're just a boy named Ness with a baseball bat. This whole game just has a lot of charm to it and I don't get bored no matter how many times I replay it.

ArmA 3 because there's so many fun scenarios to play and lots of cool mods and maybe CS:GO because I'm alright at it and it's funny to piss people off. Being nostalgic, Animal Crossing and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. I've played those two the most out of any game.

Kinda torn between KoF '98 and Bayonetta (i didn't play 2 yet) The former is just plain big fun in arcades (when they were around anyway) and the latter is fun given form. Bless platinum games. Honorable mention to former games tht occupied the top spot such as Shadow of the Collosus and Kingdom hearts.
