Since TPDP has been invading some places, I figured it would be convenient to have a specific thread for it.
General FAQ
Help! I can't learn new moves! What do I do?
Go to your puppet menu and select "edit". You are given several options. Select the second, and spend PP to learn or relearn a move.
How do I get more PP?
After each battle your whole team gets more PP, be it wild or trainer. There are 2 PP earned per puppet defeated.
I'm broke! How do you earn money?
After trainer battles and sometimes wild battles as well, you'll get an item. 90% of the time, these are vendor trash.
Who's the best starter?
Anyone after Genbu Ravine, maybe? There's no clear place for me to draw a line.
Detrimental groups would be IN's bosses, EoSD's bosses, three Fairies of Light, Alice, TD's bosses, UFO's bosses, Chen, DDC's non-Raiko bosses, and others I might have forgotten.
When does the Human Village's Tailor shop open and what does it do?
It opens after you meet Alice, early in the game. For 3000 yen, the tailor will change the appearance of your puppet to one of two alternate designs per puppet.
How do I take back my stat reinforcements?
You can't without reincarnating.
Reincarnating? What's that?
It opens after you beat the game, but for one Magic Fragment it basically lets you reset the puppet.
I can't beat Remilia! Is she supposed to be a major difficulty jump?
Yes. If you have a speed Miko, abuse her light type priority move on the Power Remilia. Alternately, use a Power Sakuya's steel priority.
How does evolution work?
At Level 30, every puppet gets a style change. Go to edit to pick your new form.
I can't figure out what Moody is doing...

Where do you get the Fly Equivalent?
Get the Gap map from Chen in East Youkai Mountain's Mayohiga, after getting the superhuman glove.
What are the type matchups?
Defending types listed accross the top, offending down the first column.

Are TM's infinite use like in Gen V/VI of Pokémon?
Yes.
Can I edit my sprite in dat/playerimage?
Yup! It has no adverse affects on your game. Customize to your heart's content!
The download already has a save file! How do I start over?
Go into the save folder and delete or rename the gn_enbu.sav file ONLY,do not touch gn_enbu.cnf as I have no idea how this will affect your game. Then open the game and you can restart.
UPDATE: Angel investigated the gn_enbu.cnf file. Apparently, it saves your options. If you delete it, the options menu will come up as soon as you run the program. It also saves your window size.
Numbers are all gibberish! What's the deal with that?
Set your locale to Japanese, the long way, no AppLocale. LocaleEmulator works, however.
Where can I find [insert character here]?
Here is a spreadsheet made by shadielth, detailing all encounter rates.
I'm lost ;~;
Member redirectto has mapped everything. A spreadsheet directory can be found here.
I think that's everything.
